CUOP for my dose of sanity. :) I believe this is the first time I have touched the PC today. It is also the first time I have sat down for a break.

My day started before 7am with the construction fellas.

After taking LO to school I picked up DMom and took her to doctor appt. The doctor stayed in exam room 45 minutes with DMom. She was his last patient of the day (closes at noon on Friday) so he just hung out and listened through her whole list of things she wanted to show/tell him. I sat and took notes during their discussion.

Then I took DMom to get xrays before taking her home.

When I left DMom's home I went straight to LO's school. I was late for my volunteer gig but had let them know so all was okay.

After school, LO and I arrived home to find the construction fellas just finishing up for the day. They were eager to show me what they had accomplished today.

After the construction fellas left, I started dinner - pizza and lasagna. Yes. Both. I couldn't decide which one so put both in the oven.

Now I'm taking a break while they bake. :)

Pizza leftovers for us tonight (leftover from before the trip - we keep them in the freezer waiting for nights like tonight when we don't want to cook or go out.

I've just finished the first draft of the sermon. It poured out of me once I started. In fact, I had a lot of editing to do.

Dh and I will be able to watch an episode of House of Cards since I can take the time. And I'll definitely get to the hockey game tomorrow.

Dinner was good. I ate more at this meal than I have in the last 6 days. My appetite is finally back. I'm happy my health is returning but am going to miss the daily weight loss. I have lost 8 lbs in the last 6 days.

I am so far behind on everything to do with paperwork and finances. Embarrassing bad. I'm not ready to admit even to myself how bad it is. I start stressing BIG time when I think about it, so I don't. I am willing to think about and tackle ONE thing at a time. First I'm going to find and order a new RO dual tester. Ready. Set. Go!

That one piece of paper handled to completion! I found commercial inline monitor/tester unit. Verified with DH that I had found the right piece of equipment and then got it ordered. This is the last (i hope hope hope) piece of equipment in the LONG repair process. MPB has been down for THREE weeks. We are finally back in business today. This has been an extremely stressful time.

Next up - find some vehicle insurance. We are running on the grace period

Ready. Set. Go!

New vehicle insurance policy is in place. That change cuts our premiums in less than half of what we have been paying. I returned to our previous insurance company that we were force to leave in order to keep insurance on our rural home. Good bye to farm insurance!

I'm have about a gazillion other tasks that are waiting but I think I'm going to call it quits. Now that I sat down for a period of time my body is showing just how tired I am.

Tomorrow is going to be another busy day so I'm going to slow down a bit. I'll clean up the kitchen and watch an episode of Gilmore Girls then it will be time for LO bedtime routine.

WTG Lady M!

It is windy here. How windy? For the first time since moving here, I can see the chandelier in the dining room swinging back and forth.

My cousin's son posted a picture of Unc and that reminded me to write him a letter. I had used the letter opener he gave me to open all the mail that had piled up during the vacation so had been thinking of him.

Dh had gathered together the food bank donations for our 'admission' to the hockey game tomorrow. So that's ready.

Now to either write a summary of my trip to mail to Unc, or revise the sermon. I'm thinking of preaching without reading on Sunday but don't know if I have enough time to be able to say what I want to say without running on to long.

Lots more straightening of house.
Ordered postage stamps.
Church paperwork.

HRH mowed the whole lawn - tired me out watching him. He said he'd wanted to get to hosing down the porch but that's put off now until the nesting bird has hatched her brood. lol. I suppose he "took her to raise", which is his terminology for responsibility of an adopted pet. He got his talk radio station playing again out at the wellhouse, which had been shut off by a power outage.

Neglected to tell he had to deal with a black snake in the hen house last evening. He worried that it came because he'd let the radio stop so the vibrations were no longer a deterent. Didn't kill it but did give it a lousy experience there, which is supposed to deter them coming back. Eggs were gone, of course.

Don't know how my night will be tonight. I do have a sore chest from the coughing. Just trying to keep up with inhaler (which I can hardly believe I need again, after these years without), muci nex and steroid nasal spray, which I suppose is helping?

I did decide that if I travel to hospital tomorrow to peer through a window, I will just drive in one day rather than sleeping over at a hotel. I feel I really need my own house at night when I'm juggling these preparations.

Very late ci: tonight! I do not know WHERE this week has gone. Told dmom today, I've just piddled it away and have nothing to show for it!
-- Monday we had dgs and went to that auction, but that was only from about 5-10 that night.
-- Tuesday night was nursing home singing.
-- Wednesday I did laundry, right? And we went to the court house to get dh's check from his aunt's estate. $45... I also spent 15 min in the zone late Wed night, and dusted master bath and bedroom.
-- Thursday we made trip to next town to pick up tax stuff, and then we ate supper w/ds, ddil, dgs, and dgs spent the night. I also took care of online insurance stuff for dh and myself, which involved much frustration bc they have not received my info from doctor's office/labwork... And doctor's office was unexpectedly closed, so I can't complete this till Monday!

Today, dgs and I
-- delivered UPS pkg to dropoff place for ds
-- went to post office
-- picked up lunch for dmom
-- took that to her and visited for about 1.5 hrs
Then I
-- took dgs home,
-- registered dh's new knee pain contraption,
-- paid a bill,
-- took a nap,
-- ate supper, and
-- finished reading the Jerry Lee Lewis book.

I also walked two days this week -- 15 min WAP Mon, 2 miles outdoors Wed. I guess I can manage another 15 min now.

Sigh. It looks like I've been somewhat busy but I have not done the WHB -- sheesh, might as well call it the MONTHLY house blessing -- so that depresses me and makes me feel lazy and useless.
Tomorrow is another day.
