Remind me again what the B-12 was for, Harriet. Obviously I have taken it before as it's sitting here. Maybe it's something I've been needing since I seem to be rather out of it. Going to take it easy again today and hope the added rest will make me feel "all better". I've been awake since 5:45 and finally got up and around. I need to go eat as my BS is rather low (for me) this morning but figure dsonil is still sleeping in the recliner. Hate that part of weekends.

Hmmmm, guess my tummy is still not up to snuff after all. Maybe this latest bout will help me start feeling better and more energetic.

Waited as long as I could (7:45) only to discover dsonil was already up & gone. Knew he'd said he had to go check the plant today but doubted he'd be up so early. I'll probably learn he was gone at 6.

Hmmmm....judging my trips to the little girls' room -I'm mighty glad today isn't yesterday or tomorrow. Yesterday I had to be at work at church at 9 and tomorrow we're heading up a group after church to go for brunch at one of our favorite buffet places (not Fred's or G Corral). This is actually linked to a local college and is stupendous. It's a little out of the way for many who go, but I think they'll believe it was worth the trip.

I'm up and at it. Slowly. Body is sore. Listened to an article on the radio about how ability to sit on the floor and get up with minimal use of supports is a sign of length of life. Told dh to start picking out a new spouse!

Today I have a whole church service to write (I'm assuming I'll be well enough to deliver them tomorrow.) And, in the middle of the day, dh and I are off to have photos taken for the church directory. I think we'll go to Costco on the way back and pick up the deck box I want as well as the vitamins we need. I won't assemble the deck box, but I'll get it in place.

On Monday we have to vacate our parking spot for the day, including removing all the stuff we have there. Snow tires can go in the car along with other 'stuff' (cloth to wipe off the car, driveway marker to let us know we are fully in the parking spot) but the snow tire rack (huge and heavy) will have to come up to the apartment and we'll need to find a spot for dh's bike (it won't fit in the elevator so I guess we'll just lock it outside on the railing over the garage exit.) So that's one more item we have to do on Sunday after doing 4 church services (we also have to water plants at dd's place.)

Dee, for me the B-12 came up when I talked to hormone dr about not having much energy. That was this time last year or a little earlier in the year. He advised the same B-12 sublingual (melt under the tongue) tablets that HRH takes. Maybe it's because I didn't have to buy anything new to do it, but I have the hardest time remembering to take this. I don't take it at same time as other supplements since you don't just swallow it.

We've chatted about energy and B-12 here before, though - don't remember who else mentioned it. I think LadyM and maybe lucylee talked about it for their mothers. And of course HRH will be on it for the rest of his life because of an inherited tendency to be low. He pops two a day (so, 2,000 mcg) and his levels stay normal - so much easier than the monthly shots our church pianist gets from doctor for same problem.

Rather thought that was it and started using it again a couple of days ago -which reminds me to do it now.

Hopefully, I've stopped making multiple trips to that little room. My tummy should be well emptied.

By that standard I should have started telling dh that years ago. I can remember dgs (now 15) asjung me to get on the floor to play matchbox cars with him at about the age of 3. Told him I couldn't and he said, "But Grandma, I'll help you get up." So it's been a while!

I did up the few dishes and put some things in a box to go to the garage for the donation pile. Love filling those boxes that will be leaving here!

Ate a cheese stick, hoping to give me some energy without upsetting my tummy too much.

Picked up an afghan that I started YEARS ago -it's probably about 8/10's done. Now I'm trying to remember just how to do it. I've ripped out stitches 3x now. Maybe I'll get it. I always loved to crochet and knit but it was always too long between bouts and I'd forget how to do it. My Mom was an expert and I didn't inherit those genes -dd did. DD is very artistic. DSisIL (db's wife) crochets a LOT and if worse comes to worse I'll take the 2 I have started and work on them both up there. The other one is also about 3/4's done. One is shades of blue and the other gorgeous shades of green & white. Blue is ripple and the green one is a granny square pattern. I'll get it -slow but sure. I need to be doing something with my hands rather than just sit around. Have some embroidery here to do as well that I should get started on. Unfortunately I think arthritis has taken a toll on my fingers. Know that just since last fall I can no longer make a fist with either hand. That should prove interesting when I go for blood work in June. I know they always tell me to make a fist and 'pump' it. Nothing like making it even harder to take blood!

DD/dsonil have a guy coming to look at a spot on their roof that keeps leaking when the rain comes from one direction. They had a new roof after the series of hurricanes a few years back. But they've always had trouble with this one spot and it's been 'fixed' 3 or 4 times. Since they're coming into 'hurricane' season, they'd like for it NOT to leak.

DD's going to a '31' party tonight but I elected to stay home. Both because I don't think my tummy needs that and I feel she deserves some time without Mom. She's so good about it and actually likes having me do things with her -or her Dad.

Morning y'all just checking in.

Had a migraine last night so didn't sleep. However I met "the girls" at 6 this morning to do a short hike up on of our small hills. It elevates quickly so we get a good 1.3 mile workout.

Came home and drank my coffee. I could feel my headache trying to peek out behind my eye so I took some more meds. Just resting for the moment.

Harriet and Dee... I get a weekly B12 + others once a week. Makes a huge difference with my moods. Sweetie calls them my happy shots and if I get too grumpy he'll ask.... Is it time for you shot

Dee... Roof leaks are the hardest to find. Bet Harmony will agree with me. Usually it's easy to see where the water is seeping in, but the cause for the leak can be difficult to find.

My guess is the roofer will use a water hose as rain, but usually the leak is caused by the wind blowing the rain under the roof tiles.

Hope y'all get to enjoy your day... Wonder if Lucylee got blown away in last night's storm. Hope everyone here in the village stays safe. Cy'all later......

Right, I guess it was you who mentioned it too, sometime, RamblinRose. I think, but am not sure, that our pianist gets hers once a month. When you think about it, that's pretty far between...hmmm. HRH used to get his every two weeks.

A big "You Go, Girl!" to all thinking about monitoring strength and building strength. The person you inspire may be me.

I've completed all my reminders except the music.

An interruption day, with the Highland Games going on and cousins calling. Dd and her young man took the opportunity for a date day at the Games. My dcousin was also going, but changed plans because of a backache. Instead he is only going to try a plaque dedication ceremony for our ancestor at historic church.

So instead plans became for dd to hang out some with a second cousin instead, who has driven up from Georgia. But then she got kinda sick (wearing all tartan wool on a humid 80 degree day will do that to ya) and went back to hotel early so she could get cooled off and ready for the plaque ceremony, too. So only one other kin family there that we know of. That's okay. Dd will be enjoying her young man and all the fun of the games more than hanging out with family anyway.

I'm very torn about going to the ceremony. This is my 3rd-great grandfather who is being honored and after all, I do have 16 of those and 16 3rd-great grandmothers. So I can't feel it's "close". Still, not every day I guess, and one cousin (who loved my parents so much) did drive all the way from Georgia. There is some concern that not many people will come since the Highland Games draws so many who are interested in history, and it's hard to just leave and return from that conveniently.

So this is one of those "would my parents want me to do it" moments. Sigh. I guess I'll get dressed.

I'm the other person who takes B12. And it's easy to forget as I get two batches of med/supplements in before I do the B12 and often forget. But it sure makes a huge difference in energy for me.

RRose, wish you didn't get those headaches. I'm sure you wish that too.

I got my errands run, a return to HD, a trip to landfill, a haircut (I've already cut a couple tails off ) and a stop at a store to buy a little rack. The rack is so I can put the TV on top of the video/cd player and give myself a little more room on the dresser. Got that set up and like the result.

There a bunch of stuff on my desk, but I'm giving myself some time off.
