FINISH IT UP FRIDAY
Do you have some 'tail ends' needing to be put to rest today? I'm sure I do. I barely, barely slept last night and finally got up about 7:15. Going to grab a bite of breakfast and head out to church. Will try to finish up the bulletin (which was started last Friday) and get it done early and come home and try to rest a bit. Feel like I've been hit by a truck.
DD and I went to Trivia last night -the only ones of our team there. Then the guy who used to run it came in and he joined us and then a young friend of his. But for the most part dd and I had all the answers -some guessed but right. Who knew? We actually tied for first and lost the tie breaker so settled for 2nd. Surprise, surprise. We almost didn't go since we knew the others wouldn't be there.
While at Trivia dh texted me (before it started -we can't have 'devices' out). He couldn't find his stent cards -he has many since he has 10 stents. I finally found them in our VIP papers last night after I got home. I'm sure that activity had me revved -thus no sleep.
Going to get the cards ready to mail and drop them at the post office on my way home this morning.
Have a good day -I'll probably pop in from time to time.

Re: FINISH IT UP FRIDAY
Good morning, villagers ~
Thanks for opening the thread, Dee.
Tomorrow I will be attending/working an all-day sewing class in The Big City, so today the committee will be finishing up the preparations for setting up the room and making sure all is ready for the teacher. I did my Treasurer's bookkeeping part last night. The committee isn't going to set up tables and such until 3 this afternoon, which gives me the first part of the day for home chores.
Today's 5x1:
* Laundry
* Check to make sure I have a comfortable dressy outfit to wear tomorrow.
* Grocery list to be able to stop at Aldi while I'm already in TheBigCity
* Write checks to take to the post office
* Declutter the kitchen
If I am ready to leave the house shortly after 1, then I can go to the diner for a nice relaxed long lunch. We are supposed to get rain later today, therefore I'm not going to plan very many errands.
I'm feeling the need for water before I can get started.
Hope you all have a great day.

Hi everyone!!
Today I have a massive pile of dishes and a massive pile of laundry. I also have the cat box to deal with.
I woke up way too early and I would like to have a nap this afternoon.

I'm overtired today too.
Still have taxes to finish up. Also have an investment meeting today and need to prepare for that.
Then I need to move on to business bookkeeping.
Plus the office still isn't finished being deep cleaned because dh skipped going out for lunch yesterday. So I'll have to boot him off his computer at some point today while I clean (he isn't dressed yet so maybe I can do that while he s2s and has breakfast.)

Re: FINISH IT UP FRIDAY
Got word that our Costco order of deck tiles has shipped so change of plans. We'll drive down to the seaway on Sunday and have dinner. We're already at church so 30 minutes of the drive is done.
On Monday (the day we planned to go due to the power outage) we'll stay here in case the order arrives.
Dh has about 2.5 hours before the battery on his laptop fails so if he's careful, he can work all morning (as long as he can work with just his laptop and not second monitor.)
In the afternoon, if the tiles haven't yet arrived, I'm sure we can find some decluttering project to work on that won't require electricity. We have heat, water and elevators.
If the tiles arrive, we'll start laying them. The apartment is going to be messy for about 3 days after the tiles arrive.
Word that the deck tiles are on their way to me also means I have to get a place ready to store them in the apartment before they get laid down. I'll have to find a large blanket to lay out on the hardwood floor to minimize scratching and we can stack them on that. Thankfully we can store each balcony's contents on the alternate balcony as we lay the tiles so we don't need to move everything into the apartment at one time.

Re: FINISH IT UP FRIDAY
Finished up my two days off by getting quite a few things done around here. Now it's back to payroll and, since I have a commitment after work, I won't be home until 9:00 p.m.
Have a great day!

Re: FINISH IT UP FRIDAY
Periodontist hygienist today.
Good news
Safe driving
the 45 min early I thought I was going to be, got used up in a major road traffic snaffu. A blocked off alt route into city seemed to be the culprit.
My periodontal pockets are over half what they were 6 mths ago. Success by eating better (less of the things I know annoy me), no beef, but also I have gone to no additive toothpaste (Not the recommended ones. ) I didn't mention that I now rarely floss as I'd linked that to infection.
Visit a friend. Show and tell with some books. Mental health support group related. Lunch at shopping center. Decided the day was long enough and didn't take time to look around.
I came out a different exit, and ended up back on main road suburbs away. Closer to home, but I count a few corners lucky choices.
Add to that mending this blouse and cardigan to wear today.
A downer - didn't have my pvt benefits card with me so had to pay the $$$.

Re: FINISH IT UP FRIDAY
I am also tired this morning. We were out last night at a benefit type dinner where dh was the auctioneer for several live auction items. Needed to stay to the end, a neighbor was also there and was being honored so it was 9:30 when over and dh still needed to pack to go out of town today. Rough night with Moses; he is in a lot of pain and I'm thinking that this week will be it, perhaps Monday (dh gets back Sunday night.) I snuggled off and on with Moe on the hard cold floor and slept poorly when I wasn't with him. And Macs isn't much better. So I'm feeling tired and sad.
Dkids have exams right now. DD has posted photos from awards ceremony last night where she rec'd a plaque as the outstanding grad in her dept - of course, she is the only one, but she has worked hard nonetheless. I sent the temple a blurb yesterday for the newsletter re their graduations and her honor, and also that she had rec'd department scholarships (however modest) for the last two years. Ds graduates a week from tomorrow in ATL, dd on May 7. A little shocked at dd posting on Facebook sounding so mature...

I may go upstairs and take a little nap while dcleaning lady does her magic. I'd like to go to the downtown library this afternoon for awhile. I tell myself I "shouldn't" do new research while I have a backlog of info not entered into my software, but OTOH it keeps my interest level up. Library is open until 6 p.m.Awards ceremony for [department] was fun! I'm so glad that I've had the opportunity to learn from the amazing faculty and meet the best people, while learning about something that I love.
