Well, my 2 daughters love to spend time with each other and with their spouses and families. The gkids are all crazy about each other. There's a lot of love in my family. But the 2 son-i-L's together by themselves - probably never gonna happen.

Energy - I'm watching and thinking, trying to figure it out. It's really hot and humid now and I've been outside more these past 2 weeks than lately... and the result of that is I practically have no appetite. I look in the cabinet and the refrig. and think blah. You'd think I'd be loosing weight. Ha! No!

I'm sorta remembering now that a few weeks ago I started doing some other things outside, sorta pushing myself, but actually getting some projects done. Never thought about that, but I think I've started to feel better before I even realized it. I know it helps that DH is out working full full time, like 12 hour days so even though I have the jobsite safety worry, I'm not worrying about the checkbook.

I haven't done anything different supplement wise or health wise that I can think of. Today I made a cake-in-a-cup thing, with flour and sugar, so it's not a diet change for sure! Maybe this is just normal for me, and I spent the majority of last year doing caregiving or getting over some illness and side-effects of medicines over and over so that normal feels just so wonderful for a change. That's all I can figure.

Tenant came over and I took care of that bookkeeping, receipts, etc. I've made the truck run and helped DH with some unloading. Watered the plants around the foundation and the veggies. Dinner, dishes and sorted the mail. There's now another stack of stuff to do. See, it never ends!

I'm home! Dh made a wonderful fire in the fireplace as it's a bit nippy outside - at least by our new more wimpy standards. ;) Dh, dd16, and I went out to eat at a favorite Korean/Japanese restaurant. Afterward, we got "fro-yo" as dd16 called it at Or ange L eaf. I've eaten too many WW points today, but I have a journal and as long as I write it down and keep within weekly points, I'll be OK.

I misspoke earlier - I didn't get a program but I'm quite sure the piano piece at the concert last night was just one movement of a Rachmaninoff concerto - not the whole thing.

It's very heartening to hear you're feeling better, Harmony.

I'm very curious about the flossing too, Lynlee.

Happy you're all here and I'm sorry I can't greet each and every one of you.

I'm feeling SO tired. It's only 9:30, but I think I'll be going to bed soon. . ..

Our team won! They still have 2 more to win to advance but the current hashtag is #OneGameAtATime

I've just checked with the family to see who's interested in watching game 7 at the arena (of course game 6 will have to be won first!) That will be 'free' but loud and full of emotion.

I've spent the evening watching balcony makeover videos and checking out pictures. I still have no real idea of what I want to do aside from the new deck box and tiles and get some live plants out there. Most of the ideas online I can't do due to wind and rules.

Good Evening! I've missed posting for a couple of days. Sometimes I look in and cuop but get pulled away and forget to come back and post. Anyway, I wanted to say Hi!

Sounds like it has been a busy week for all with appointments, meetings, errands, teaching, cleaning, etc. My dh had his own appointment with INR nurse on Thursday. After he got home we went out for errands...to downtown to pay the gas bill and to W-M for a few groceries. I also needed copy paper and ink for the copier. Now I can finish copying family history info for ds-T. I wanted to get that in the mail this coming week. When I went to change sheets on the bed ds and ddil used I discovered some clothes ds left here; that needs to be mailed also. Today has been a really long day for us. This morning we had our usual run to take dgd-M13 to school. We came home to eat breakfast and get some daily and weekly cleaning done. Then left again at 1 o'clock to go to dgs-T11's school. He is in 5th grade and was one of the students to get a certificate for student of the month. (There is always one from each class each month.) We stopped on the way home for a light supper at P erkins, then walked through Joanns .

Congratulations to Twins' dd for her award. I remember when dd and ds were just starting college, and now here they are ready to graduate! So happy for you all for this achievement!

Harriet, in case there is rain on the evening of the prom, perhaps there will be a gazebo where the young people can take their pictures and still stay dry! It really is an exciting time for all the young people. I love to see them all dressed up. Dgd-H17 searched for a prom dress while her dfamily was here, but didn't find one till they returned home. Her Sr. prom was last weekend. Our other dgd-K17 Sr. prom is the beginning of May.

Kathryn, it was good that you and dh were able to get the floor tiles up to your living room today!

We had two incidents this week that shook dh and I up. First: Tuesday early evening dh walked into the living room to sit down and watch one of the hockey playoff games and lost his balance, stumbled against the hassock which rolled away from him and he fell. He called me and he scooted over to the entryway where there is a step down and I tried helping him stand up. I just was not strong enough so I called ds#2-J who came as soon as he could - took him about a half hour to get here and less than half a minute to pull dh up! He stayed for about an hour and watched the game with us - making sure dh was ok, I guess. Second: Yesterday on our way from downtown to grocery store we were waiting at a traffic light. When the light turned green dh had just put his foot on the gas pedal to start out and we were thumped by the car behind us! It was enough of a jolt to bump our heads on the headrest of our seats. The lady came right up to our window and asked if we were all right. We were ok but somewhat unnerved. As we were talking with her a local police car going the other way pulled over to ask if we were ok and wanted him to call an emt. We all made the left turn and met in a shopping center across the street. There was only a short scratch on the bumper which will probably buff out so we didn't have the officer fill out a police report, even though he asked several times if we wanted him to do it. I think he actually saw what happened by the way he talked. I did ask him to get the car tag number of the lady's car and he wrote it on the paper she put her insurance info on. He did check her driver lic, but never asked for dh's. The really funny thing about this is on our travel from downtown to that intersection we were discussing/remembering all the traffic incidents we had ever seen or been involved in. Was this an omen???

Anyway, that's enough excitement for the rest of the year! I was a little nervous in the car yesterday afterwards and today. There is always so much traffic in our area and especially on Rt 19! I'm glad this is the end of the week, I feel wiped out!

Thinking of you all and wishing you a good evening!

re flossing I still floss sometimes, when nothing else works.
I do use interdental brushes
I was told to use various sizes of the teepee range, Which I still use in the bigger spaces. They are similar to the ones with the coloured handles in this * site.
* http://www.caredent.com.au/dentist/inde ... ental.html

I now use the Interbrush in every space (like I was taught in the 70s to use the wooden interden toothpicks available then by the peridontist who did fairly extensive surgery then.) There are tiny rubber bristles that feel great and massage nicely. I swear they push out little bits that slide under the gum pine. I love to hear the squeaky clean. In the 70s I was told not to floss by that periodontist. Since the 90s periodontists have been on about flossing (using flatter ribbon / tape i/l normal round floss.). While I did it it seemed to me I eventually abraided teeth under 2 fillings when pulling up the tape and ended up needing fillings from the side or back of teeth. Perhaps the infections I noted occurred more often if I flossed before brushing, but anyway , it was a thing for me to deal with to recoop from the infection that may have been a coincidence. It would possibly be a help to floss my bottom front teeth which are crammed too tightly, and the brushes don't fit there.
Anyway I shouldn't lead people astray from healthy habits. Floss. Its helpful generally.
And I was glad the hygienist didn't ask me if I was flossing. ;)
Cost of periodontal hygienist was $230. 6 monthly.

Sunny - It might pay to get the bumper checked. In the old days they were built to last most impacts. Now they are built to absorb them. I hope there are no long term problems for you and dh.
Just begin.
Living this day, today
Take a reality check; Remember to breathe; Do what I am able to do.
Look for the good in all.

Hockey playoffs seem to have the net jammed up this afternoon.
I got the sleeve I was working on knit up today.
Started the 2nd sleeve too.
I got the plants watered that we planted yesterday.
Got the sheets washed and back on the bed.
