I knew You'd understand, Harmony. He did say today that he has read the sheets of instructions several times so I think he will adhere to them. DS-R was upset with him last night because someone had called him yesterday and asked him to open their RV today & he said he would. Well.....I guess DS-R and possibly DS-A will open it up -probably won't take 20 minutes and is fairly simple/easy. Dh said he's walking w/out crutches indoors but is using them outside. I could hear dgs2 jabbering in the background saying plain as day, "You're talking to Grandma?!" He did say hi but doesn't like talking on the phone himself. Dh was going to the fire department with DS-A and sitting and selling tickets for a raffle. Then DS was taking him to the campground, but is repossessing his truck. Guess the Mercury will be ready for dh in a few days -he can't drive before then anyway. Sure it was part of the "plan". But dh doesn't sound like he would try to drive before he's supposed to.Dee, you know I understand about your DH. I don't think they understand what worry they cause us...mine just thinks I shouldn't worry. Yeah.

Re: Sunny Saturday
Helia, an earthquake?! My goodness.
I was cutting landscaping fabric with utility knife, trying to get it out of the ground so I could dig out bush roots. I was angry about the fabric being there and the extra work...I'd asked DH not to put it down and he insisted (not wanting to weed) ...and because it was there around this bush I couldn't chop down and keep the roots from growing everywhere... so I was irked and sliced real hard through the fabric and into my knee. Now have an l-shaped gash...bled like crazy. Had to come in and wash and disinfect and I closed it with steri-strips and patch over top, then mop the kitchen floor of all the blood..
Sheesh. Don't work with tools if you're angry!
Whole back of house and the side landscaping redone. Trimmed, weeded, bush removed, about 4 hours work.
I guess I'll go look at my capris and see how badly they are sliced. I shouldn't have been wearing such good ones for this work, but I didn't think I'd be doing such heavy work. I should have figured when I had to go back for the pick ax...I did come in and change my shoes.
Off to the shower and then rebandage knee.

Re: Sunny Saturday
Congratulations to Twins ds.
Harmony, you did an excellent job on those windows.
Hope everything is alright at helia's after the earthquake in her area.
RunKitty, I hope you have a great day at work.
Speaking of great days, I hope lucylee has a special day at the local festival.
Kathryn, the balcony looks great.
Dee, I am sure that your ds's will stay on top of their ddad.
Hi blessed.
This morning I went to the 2 little girls soccer games. Dgd4 just walked around and looked at the ceiling, or her fingernails or came to the railing to talk to us. Dd2 decided that she won't waste time going to their last games tomorrow. Dgd5's coach has only came to 2 games. The boys have an out of town baseball tournament this weekend, so they will go to those games tomorrow.
Not going to games tomorrow frees up some time for me. I need to clean today and can't get started. Everything is in it's place, so it is just cleaning and not picking up stuff too. I will need to mow either tonight or tomorrow. Dh's having a time with that right knee, so I will probably end up washing the SUV.
Since we haven't seen Ramblin Rose for several days, I am guessing that she is busy getting ready for her annual Kentucky Derby Party.
My hair must not look as bad as I thought because dd2 told me it looks nice. Believe me, she doesn't tell you that unless she means it.
I am going to attempt to get something done.
The 2 older granddaughters graduate HS 2 weeks from today. In between now and then we will be dealing with dh's surgery. I hope we are able to head home next Saturday or Sunday at the latest.
Get busy, get busy, get busy.................
(((Harmony))) ow, ow, ouch

Re: Sunny Saturday
Oooh, ouch, Nancy. It's the day for injuries, I guess.
Soaked in tub for a bit; redid all the bandages and iced knee. It is now dark green around it, about the size of a nickle. Tried icing it but that didn't seem to help. Knees are aching badly from all the up and down in the truck last night anyway, this just seemed to make it all worse. DH's truck is 2 deep high steps up to the inside, so a lot of up and down but with heavy tools and with my bad arm I can't use the handhold (learned my lesson the first time I did, it pulled the shoulder). I guess I won't be on my elliptical anytime soon.
Helped DH get all the paint off of his arms where he couldn't reach. Whata mess.
Was thinking about RRose when I saw the horse race. Hope she is having fun today.
We discussed having less of a veggie garden next season. I put way more money into it than I get out... and by sheer determination and grit I get the durn thing planted then can't seem to take care of it much... at first DH was skeptical but then he agreed. It's a raised bed with wood around. I told him I'd shovel the excess dirt (we have places that need dirt) if he'd help with the wood. Simplify my life - I'm trying.
Congratulations to Lilac's 2 DGD and twins DSon.

Re: Sunny Saturday
Yes, Nancy, the royal baby news was on our morning newscast here. I'm happy it is a girl. It's about time we had more girls in the royal family!
I got the bank accounts reconciled. So now I know how much money we have on hand.
Was doing more shredding when it occurred to me I failed to claim my preaching income. Most of the time it is $25 per week and that barely covers gas (just checked and it doesn't now that I've moved, my net is -$2.54 each week after I deduct mileage.)
Considering each service takes 10 hours of time, the pay is obviously lousy and to have to pay income tax on it adds to the insult (my net pay after mileage for 2014 is $800 or $3 an hour.) The only reason it is that high is half the year the mileage was shorter and I was also preaching at least monthly at our own church which pays $125 per week.
To give up 1/3 to half of that pittance to taxes is really annoying. Sigh.... Not only that, I have to wait until I get a notice from the government saying they accepted the tax return I submitted, so even though I discovered the error before the tax deadline, I still have to wait until later and be hit with interest penalties on the $300+ I'll probably owe.
Off to do my floor exercises now.
