Absolutely know dKathryn will be singing today. I will be singing as soon as we get to church. Wherever you are, whatever you're doing, may it be a 'singing' day for you!
Dh offered to put our laundry in this morning. So that's twirling away in the laundry room -now I have one just down the road from us. It's really within walking distance but takes less than a minute to cart things down there in the golf cart. Which is probably what I'll do. May walk down to throw things in the dryer twin. Going to like having one this close. Took several minutes to get to the one on the other side of the pond, which really necessitated me staying there while it twirled.
Have to get ready for church so maybe I'll be ready to go fold in another hour or so.
Yesterday I was thrilled to become more productive by tracking accomplishments. I stay busy but so much of the time it seems I don't have much to show for all my busyness. IYKWIM.
After an entire day of back-forth....forth-back...and round and round of txt messages, LO tournament ballgames were cancelled for today. This entire organization is ran by volunteers. No one deserves to be put through that much craziness, especially volunteers.
Since our afternoon & evening hours are now free from ballgames, hopefully we can enjoy a Sabbath and relax a bit. LO personality and care requirements are much different from DGD4. LO needs continual monitoring but not constant hands-on.
Today is community fund raiser so we will support that effort & eat Indian Taco's at the school for lunch. I will eat my Indian Taco without the fry bread to keep it low(er) carb.
I pulled breakfast sandwiches out of the freezer so breakfast is super easy. I am eating the last Low Carb breakfast sandwich from my freezer stash, so making more is being added to menu planning system.
Stay curious. Challenge assumptions. Success loves persistence.
When life gets difficult, learn to sing & dance in the rain.
Ta-da! I'm singing a happy song -laundry is done (hopefully) for the week. Bought enough underwear a couple of years ago to have enough to last over a week here. I'm sure I might have towels/sheets to do in the interim. Have new sheets for our bed. Our good friend who lost her dh earlier this year has been selling lots of his stuff at way less than it's worth just to clear it out. She gave dd one of at least 6 Keu rig coffee makers Friday. She has a mattress topper that we're going to try on our bed. It's unbelievable what this man had -all top of the line but most things he had 3 or 4 of -at least. Money was never an object with him but dh has decided he was a 'hoarder' of sorts. For instance dh found 7 hummingbird feeders in their shade -correction: new owner found 4 more. The most they ever used was 2.
Wayne has been playing Beatles tunes on his computer for almost 2 hours. I am either singing or humming to every single song. Mike played Beatles stuff either on his guitar or on the turntable all the time.
Still too dizzy to do much, but I am trying to get most of the regular stuff done. We are moving sometime in late August, so I have to start packing the small stuff soon. I have a lot less than a few months ago, as I have been doing some of the M arie K ondo stuff. I have less than half the clothes that I used to and most of my shoes are gone. Very little make up and personal care stuff other than my absolute favourites. At some point soon, I will try to do jewellery. I did scarves last week and donated most of them.
Kathryn a former cousin-in-law of mine lives in Ottawa and posted something on F B earlier about a charity shop in Ottawa that is struggling. I was wondering if it was near you. I will edit this post when I track down the name. Ottawa Neighbourhood Services.

Singing a little tune as I putter, plan, pick up & put away today. Writing "putter" always makes me think of our dIndi, as I picked up that term from her. I miss her here, but often feel she is with us in spirit.
I have our guest comforter in the washer thanks to dcat. Every couple of weeks he will vomit a meal but vet says as long as it doesn't happen multiple times not to worry. I wish just once he would choose an easier to clean surface, like a tile floor, to get sick on.
Waving to Dee, Lady M, Nancy, Blessed, & RunKitty. Sending feel better ((hugs)) to Cathy. Oh, there is Kally -- hello!
Off to get a few more things done before lunch. Hope you all have a wonderful day.
Dh has taken Aunt P to the airport and things are quiet here. I love her dearly but she can be very conversational and the socialization wears on me. Has been a good time, however.
On Thursday, dd and I ran errands while she and dh went to a couple of small artsy galleries and had lunch out. We had 8 total for dinner on Thursday - five of us w Aunt P, plus another couple and a neighbor whose dh was out of town. Dh did most of cooking - salmon and summer squash on the grill and other couple brought a green salad.
On Friday we went out in the afternoon to the local art museum and stayed until they closed at 5, then had a snack out and went on to services, with dinner out with the rabbi following. Long day out of the house and felt exhausted.
Yesterday I went to stamp club in the morning and stopped off at grocery while dh and Aunt P went to Torah study and Costco. We had afternoon naps, then another couple for dinner last night, was almost 11 when they left.
I am worn out of being around people but we have one more evening of entertaining here - D and P will be here (they are special friends of dd) and a couple of dd's other friends. Lasagne, green salad, challah, and dd is buying a dessert.
BTW, dh grilled each night - chicken on Wed night w grilled corn and caprese salad, salmon on Thursday, and steaks last night, and I roasted potatoes and made green beans. DD made dessert for Wed and Thurs and we bought a dessert for last night.
DH predicts that I won't speak to anyone for six months after this round is done.
Daunt brought us a mezzuzah with stand that belonged to her and her late dh (who was dh's father's brother) which was made by a famous Israeli artist, and a print that she and her dh has purchased for her son who passed away five years ago. So gracious.
