Yep, that's about where I was, Twins. No idea whatsoever! So, I waited for someone else to have an 'idea'.

I'm just having my coffee. Had a little bit of last night's mac 'n cheese for breakfast -I know, not the best but I have too many leftovers. DS-R and family treated us to dinner at a nearby favorite restaurant. Their signature dish (and a side is H U G E!) is all kinds of mac 'n cheese. I had mine with a little pulled pork & 3 or 4 onion blossom slices on top. It was so good. And I ate too much and my blood count showed it this morning. Thus I had a very little bit -probably about 1/4-1/3 cup for breakfast. We have pot luck dinner tonight at the rec hall and that's usually pretty carb laden so just have to be careful.

DD and I are going to town in a little bit. She needs to pick up ant remedy. She returned home last night to find a big infestation in her RV. It is so very wet here that I'm not at all surprised. It's drizzling again this morning. Every day we've had storms or at least heavy rain. Lot of areas of NY state have had flooding. Even under a tornado watch on Friday. It's been weird weather.

Have water heater going so I can do up a few dishes. Mostly coffee mugs for dh. Dneighbor brought him a bag of different mugs on Friday -he'd mentioned the weekend before that he'd lost one of his mugs (which he later found and was a tad  by that point.

Think I'll go pick up dd and be on our way. BBL

The PWYC start for today reflects my ambivalence, I guess.

I'm so glad that the week of entertaining is over and things are getting back to normal. This could be a better, relaxing day. OTOH, tomorrow I am getting dd to the airport in ATL early to start her big adventure, and her father is going to make me crazy. This morning he directed me to check everything off her list as she put it into her bag, and I simply am not going to do that. It reflects poorly on her as an adult for us to treat her so, and she must be the "responsible" party.

OTOH, I am starting a list of things that have been put off until today (getting cash, getting a travel converter because dh can't find his, getting her glasses adjusted, etc.)

What I really want to do today is nothing at all. Rest, relax, go back to sleep, take it easy.

Tomorrow I take dd to ATL. Thinking about going on and visiting dsis tomorrow after I see dd off, but OTOH, I just feel too tired right now to even think about it. And I may feel somewhat emotional after getting dd off.

Dee, we're in the same boat with leftovers and I haven't been eating so well anyway. Just had lasagne for breakfast, myself.

I think Harriet asked about the DL teaching (quantum physics type questions) - Today I found this. The first question answered in this report may or may not make sense.. on this different theory. Trying to have my brain open enough to contemplate it. Much later in the talk he urged people to stick to their own belief system. Christian background people to remain Christian, and not to be concerned with the beliefs belonging to another.

I have been doing some morning rounds here, hens are out and fed. I have dumped trash bed needs made. Swept the carport put away some things that were left out after clearing the way for the moving of the new rose arbor.
slept better with a cooler house. ToddlerN will be here a bit early today. Waving to everyone.

I dumped the trash.
Dish washer is loaded.
Laundry is rounded up.
House is a giant hot spot so I am working some rounds to deal with those.

This is a report on one of the public Talk on the Wisdom of Giving & Receiving. Much easier to read and comprehend.
Now I've read that no way will I meet the midnight bedtime, though 11pm would have been so much better.
Just begin.

Good Morning!

I have been up for hours and busy. Not on schedule but just doing the next thing that is immediately in front of me. Laundry, cooking, cleaning, personal care fill the time and it passes quickly.

Dee - you asked about my menu planning system. I would love to share but it is still evolving and is probably going to change. I need to get it to somewhat stable structure then use it for a couple months. I am trying to not add anything to it that isn't immediately useful. About the only structure that hasn't changed in the past couple of months is the breakfast menu planning system. I currently have 28 breakfast meals that we LIKE (important) so we cycle through them. I am still tweaking the ingredients & recipes for many of these breakfast meals to make the protein/carb ratio better for blood glucose stability. My calorie goal it to keep the breakfast meal around 300 calories (for me) and then I add extra items to up the calories for DH & LO.

This morning breakfast was scrambled eggs with Hot link/chopped onion/tomato/peppers mixture. It was 270 calories with Eggs (2),Hot Links (1/2), Rotel (1/4 c), Onion (1/4 c). I added a slice of pepper jack cheese to DH breakfast which added another 80 calories. The protein/carb ratio was 19/7 which is high on protein. I like meals that include vegetables (this one has 3). The menu planning system also tracks Weight Watcher points for each meal - this meal is 7.5 WW points.

There are many aspects of this menu planning sytem that I like, but probably the best to me is lack of thinking and planning required. I only keep meals that we like, so each morning I pull 6+ menu items and put them on wire racks to display them on the counter. While I'm in the kitchen I can easily see upcoming dishes and do prep on them. The little ones like this menu system because it is visual (pictures on each paper).

Lynlee, I thoroughly enjoyed the reading of the first - maybe half - of that first link, and will get back to the rest. You get a sense of the moment. What a responsibility for the person who is trying to transcribe it all into an article, by the way. All this wisdom and how to capture it. My large report when I graduated from high school was on Mao Tse Tung and the revolution, and this point of view (think how important in the grand scheme of things) is something I never found in my research then, of course.

I've been working on the kitchen, recovery mode from quite a weekend.

Dsecondbil came by by surprise yesterday as dd16 and I had spent all our time getting ready to leave, and dd35 and her family had just finished their visit. What a house for him to see! I don't think he'd ever seen our kitchen, for instance, in such a state! Thankfully, he is as non-judgemental a person as I know. He had slimmed down so much and I wanted to ask him about it but had no chance. We left him chatting with HRH, but when I returned HRH had never even asked him about his weight loss!

RunKitty, that's interesting that you work with dogs.

Very strange here without dd around, or expected! I wonder if I will get more or less done? :D
