Happy Birthday Elizabeth!!

Sunny - I enjoyed the graduations pictures - especially the ones with you and DH with DGChildren. Priceless! Congratulations to your DGD!

I have been interrupted so many times that I'm about at the point that I am almost afraid to start again. I need to expect interruptions instead of becoming frustrated by them.

We had spontaneous lunch out today. It was unexpected but enjoyable.

It has rained almost an inch today. The chances of the ball fields drying up enough to play on is slim. I don't know what this rain will do to LO ball tournament schedule.

My nerves have gone jangled about dd's trip. At temple on Friday night, someone asked if I was getting nervous and I had no idea what she was asking about. This afternoon, I do. I'd feel much better if dd had done a better job of preparation. She put off going to the bank for a secured credit so long it hasn't come yet, if indeed it is to do so. I just put money in to her bank account and hope she will be able to use her debit card. Am also sending cash with her, and when/if credit card comes we will send it on to her securely I hope. So I am quite worried about the finances. She put it back on dh to get her a travel converter, since until this morning he has maintained that he owns one.

Anyway, I am heading upstairs to help out with dd.

Happy birthday to Elizabeth!

Upstairs with dd. I think her lack of preparedness just sets off my anxiety more. It makes me crazy to be dealing with this today.

I just finished a long payroll task, checked it in, and wrote it up. Taking a break before taking on the next one. I have planned my evenings tasks:
  • Get new XM radio (sigh)
  • Dinner with friends
  • Send last month's minutes to someone accidentally taken off the distribution list
  • Take pictures of my latest crochet finished object
  • Post pictures to Ravelry and Arts Crafts & Needlework
  • Get together the final ingredients for an almost finished object
  • Move leftovers from fridge to freezer
I have an appointment this weekend with the x, because he needs to have permission from me notarized to take DD13 out of the country for a cruise. I have no problem with him doing this, I think it will be fun for her, and I am glad she gets to go. I do wish the paperwork weren't such a pain. I am also getting him to sign and notarize the child support documents, which he confessed he has not even looked at. During our marriage, he never looked at paperwork, just signing where I told him. Now, the other woman takes care of all that for him. I hope she is not appropriating DD's funds, but I have no way of knowing. They will probably divorce and she will take him for everything. I am pretty sure that some of the things that turned up in our divorce paperwork that were different from what we had discussed came from her. She miscalculated though, I never sign anything without reading real closely.

I'm feeling SO sleepy. I think I haven't been sleeping enough at night, and naps are never an option for me. I don't usually have time - and my body just doesn't do naps well.

((Twins)) I'd feel nervous too. Your financial plan for her sounds good.
I hope your dd is having a good time with the program on the campus, Harriet!! Dd17 wasn't interested in any of the summer art/design type programs at the big U here - or elsewhere. A program in Chicago was strongly recommended to her as helpful - but she said "no thanks."
I couldn't see thephotos either, Sunny. Or maybe I needed to login to fb.
The ex's new dwife sounds charming, Elizabeth. (That was sarcasm which I know gets lost in translation in writing. . . )
Hello to the rest of you!!!

Main accomplishments today:
- 2 lols finished, from wash to put away by 11:30 a.m. (and I tutored from 10 - 11)
- tutored R 10 - 11-ish
- helped dh with last minute gathering; said good bye to him and dd19. They're on a plan en route to Japan right now. Direct flight. Oh my!
- lunch
- tidied kitchen
- finished groc. list and menu plan
- groc. store
- put everything away
- ordered restaurant gift card for ddad for father's day. It is being mailed directly to him. :)
- relaxed for a bit

My plans to go for a jog after the groc. store were drowned out - literally. It rained pretty hard for a while. It has stopped raining, so I'll think about going this evening if the sky remains rain-less. I can't say "dry" because it most certainly is not dry out there.

I've started rice in the rice cooker. Dd17 and I will have leftover pork chops with the cream-wine sauce. She'll go to drumline practice at 7 pm.

I'm not sure if I'm meeting with the new moms group steering committee chair tomorrow morning or not. We keep exchanging emails, and she keeps returning them the day of a proposed meeting. . . . . Wondering if she was a good choice after all. I might call her tonight - voice to voice conversation might be better than umpteen emails back and forth. If we're meeting tomorrow, I need to spend some time tonight typing up schedule notes, in terms of what I do which time of the year, and collating handouts, sign up sheets., etc. that I have. Although the papers could all be sent to her electronically.

I've watered the plants and had my dinner. Also washed up the dishes and started the third load of laundry for the day.

The area around my bed smells of pot. Not exactly sure why (the windows are open but closer to the windows doesn't smell, neither do the bathrooms with vents.) Hope it clears by bedtime.

No rain has come so walking club will be on at 7. I need to change into something less ugly (still in my physio shorts) and get ready to go.

Oww, owww, owww. Need prayer but not going to that page right this minute. I took a nasty fall down our steps from our RV carrying a dish of baked beans. I saved the beans though I have some in my hair. Have a huge lump on my right elbow, scrape on my right hand, scraped left knee which is very swollen, a scraped up left shin and both ankles are too stiff to walk very much. I ended up calling the eye surgeon office at 6 and they cancelled my appointment for tomorrow morning. Just getting ready to elevate my legs and put ice on my knee. Been icing my elbow. I really don't feel like I broke anything for which I'm very thankful. Took 3 people to get me up. Went to pot luck but I really didn't eat -for some reason I had no appetite. Hoping things improve through the night but have a feeling I'll be looking for that 'truck'.

Just had to get up for a "P" break. It's very hard getting up. My left ankle doesn't move well and the right one is swollen as well. I'm having a very hard time with my shin stinging and zinging unbelievably. I only am sure I didn't break anything but I'm sure in rough shape. Going to take more t ylenol shortly. Can't take A dvil because of my kidneys. Been in tears much of the night. Just know there's nothing that could be gained by going to urgent care. Have to get my shoes off shortly. Wondering what will happen then. Thanks, Lady M. Just sat down here for a rest on the way to the recliner.

Oh, (((Dee)))! So glad it wasn't worse. Hoping the night lets you get some rest.

Twins' Mom, this is such an exciting time for your dd. I can imagine the feelings you are having, when you know this isn't a situation in which Dad could just pop over next week to take her something she forgot. But she is going to learn so much. I hope it is a wonderful experience for her. Will you be able to Skype or something?

Dd16 finally called and we chatted a good while. I certainly miss her, yes. She is enjoying a lot of the experience, and says they are keeping the dorms cool through this heat wave, which is so helpful. She says she was able to get a good first night's sleep. Her main complaints are, strangely, the "gossip" among the girls. I couldn't figure that one out. After she explained, what I gather is that some have tended to blurt out recent troubles from home as conversation starters, which morphs into negative talk about family, friends, etc. So I think her real complaint is that no one wants to talk about their sketching or the projects, but are bonding over shared unhappy or shocking experiences.

She says she's only met one other person from our area. She believes the girl of Japanese descent could remain a friend, but is from quite a distance, though in U.S. Doesn't get to talk to the boys much and wonders if they would be more pleasant - one likes Dr. Who, she says. (that's an hour's conversation right there) She is enjoying the teaching assistants, who really know their stuff. Lots of walking and just "okay" food make her think she will lose weight this week!
