I really want to show Thursday I am in charge
I know I am not but I am focusing on feeling like I can make a big difference in my day!

dmom has a stress test today - I have to pick her up at noon as her test is 45 min away ... I have a meeting 6 pm - I was up at 5:30 am and I am just starting my day at 7:10 wow what was I doing. someone else is taking uncle to radiation.
I spent the morning so far at my desk. 2 big things done. I've been procrastinating about another matter I really need to take charge of and I just dread it. There is something worse than having to make that DPC - when they don't give a phone number just a website, and charges are messed up. So much easier to talk with someone. I think I will look at these types of phone calls differently in the future. Oh, gee, I even hate to start in on this. I'll BB after I do this task..

Today's plans are to pick up meals for dmom and see her, and to take dd's car to have it "detailed." It will be used beginning next Wednesday by a young Israeli friend who will be staying with us. Thinking ahead, I should also strip dd's bed and wash those sheets, so dcleaning lady can make it up tomorrow. Should also do some cleaning in dd's room too...
Dh and ds are going to a "men's club" meeting tonight so will have some quiet time tonight also.
Meant to say yesterday that I got upstairs night before last and spent some time cleaning up my stamping area so I can go again. Also decided that I am going to rope ds into helping me with clean up of bonus room - he and dd brought home their stuff from school and dumped it up there. We can organize it more efficiently and separate her stuff from his and probably condense and stack some. That's not today but I gave ds notice about it. Perhaps can rope him into a couple of 25 minute sessions daily...
He hasn't really been looking for a job very hard. Dh sent him so job ads last night that he can apply for. We agreed that we will get started with dd's car around 12 or 12:30...

Good morning! My Thursday has changed radically in a part good, part bad way. The bad: the meeting of the animal org with mayor and city reps tonight is cancelled, due to death in the family of the most needed city rep. The good: this means that DD13 and I can have our usual Girls' Night Out tonight. And more bad: which means that the plans for knit/crochet group and chore list are out. And more good: I didn't have to drive to work today, saving a quarter tank of gas.
Some things I got done yesterday: doctor visit (he was 45 minutes behind!!!), reservation progress, entered glasses prescriptions online but have not chosen glasses yet, filed train reimbursement, pilled cat (getting harder now she knows what's up).
Tonight's plans: Girls' Night Out (no idea what we are doing), reservation work, order glasses, cat bios, planning for next crochet project.
Soon I must pay bills. Tomorrow is pay day, but I am quite sure there will be no money left. The hotels are already on the credit card and must be paid. More travel expenses will be coming, long term care insurance premium is due July, and I need to get plane tickets for brother's wedding in Mobile. By the time I have recovered from all these expenses, it will be Christmas, with more travel to Mobile and more bills. At least I have family accommodations there!
IKWYM with the swimsuits, I am having the same issues with my dance outfit. I am not the largest in the class, but feel HUGE compared to earlier classes. Realistically, I am only a little heavier than before, but am plagued with noticeable abdominal distention due to gastroparesis. In fact, there are times I look more pregnant than when I was pregnant. On a good day, I look 4 to 5 months along. On a bad day (a few times a year), I am bigger than I was at 9 months with DD. (I did carry small with DD though). Not easy to shop for pants.
I have not heard from Briggs' new person, so he is probably getting along well. Stratton was yowling last night, I think he misses his traveling companion. Wish I could make it better. However, given their ages (estimated 6 and 8) and the life expectancy of street cats (7 is old), their time together was limited to begin with.
I have been up a short while let out hens did 1st round of yd wk. Had coffee opened windows, nearky time fir my knitting show. started another hat finished one up yesterday. Did a home pedi. warming up for my next round bam!
Ok, my procrastination item is dealt with. Found the website but the page that came up did not allow me to put in my information, it just gave an example how to fill it in. Grrrrrrrr...but I did find a phone number which got me to technical support which got me to billing. Lady from another country did some and then talked me through filling out 2 forms to get 2 credits (hopefully) on my credit cards. We'll see what happens next. (Y'all be careful with A vast!)
Need to take the memory stick from our digital camera around and try to find someplace to print out a few pictures for county inspector. W-M got new machines and no longer has a slot that takes our size memory stick. WHAT'S UP WITH THAT?? Our camera is only 13 yrs old...only... yeah I know old stuff. They suggested we try the drugstore, I'm crossing my fingers.
Dfs called to cancel lunch with him today since he's got the stomach flu. Glad I biked over and gave him a hug when he was having lunch in the neighbourhood a couple of weeks ago.
I'm s2s but still have wet hair so I think I'll dry and style that next. I did do my nails. Picked up a bottle of nail polish off the giveaway shelf last night but the colour doesn't suit so I'll take it back down today when I go to pick up the mail.
Dh and I are going to go out for lunch on our own. Dh also has a hair appointment later this afternoon and we'll go to a baseball game tonight since the weather is fine. It is a bit cool but there's rain in the forecast for the weekend.
Harmony: can you transfer the pictures from the camera's memory stick to a USB stick to use at WM's machine? I'm assuming the memory stick still works with your computer.
