Re: THINKIN' THURSDAY
I am needing to head out but it is pouring down rain. Waiting a little while - radar looks like it might move on through.
I don't know what happens to light bulbs in the upstairs bathroom. Before Aunt P came, I gave ds three light bulbs for the upstairs vanities and told him to replace them. (It's a jack and jill style bathroom, with ds' side opening to the hallway, and dd/guest bedroom side opening to her/guest bedroom.) Today there are two lights out (of three) over dd's vanity and one or two lights out (of four or five?) over ds' vanity. What did he do with them? Need to ck his room later, perhaps he didn't do anything with them. Also found that both bedside lamps in dd's room were unplugged - wish I had checked on those before Aunt P came.

Love the title of today's thread.
I still need to set up the pop up shade thing. Pulled weeds this morning 1st round done. Got some apples thinned for the chickens to peck at. Rounded up laundry.
Journal done.
swept steps & entry way.

Re: THINKIN' THURSDAY
Happy 23rd Birthday to the Twins!
My alarm is set for 7:45 am and it usually takes till 8 o'clock to wake up enough to get up and start my day. It has been quite overcast all morning; although there is no rain predicted for our area, we might get some afternoon sea breeze showers -- typical FL weather.
I have done my Day 2 pantry challenge; 15 minutes to go through canned goods and upper cabinets in kitchen. Everything had been done in April so found nothing outdated so moved some things around to organize a little neater.
Elizabeth, I'm glad your lost wallet was returned!
My 5 by 5 for today:
brush ddogs
load of laundry
walk the treadmill 15 min.
vacuum living room
work on dgs13's quilt
Uh-oh, just heard rumbling in the clouds....need to check it out to see which way it's headed.

Rain is still coming down, may not be as heavy. I'm going to head on out and take my chances...

Re: THINKIN' THURSDAY
Happy Birthday to the Twins!! It's hard to believe they're that old already. I (think I) remember dstwin going to a piano recital and getting sick in the car en route. He must have been in elem. school??
More done:
- QT
- kitchen clean; running dw since we'll need all the space we can get for tonight. Dd17 has invited a friend as well, so there will be 8 adults
- s2s and self-care
- made vet appt. for Pepper
- lunch
- put together test for class
- worked more on decluttering my inbox. Another 1K down!
- class prep is basically done; between reviewing a little for the test, taking the test, one set of discussion Qs to do in small groups w/ whole group sharing for each S, and then making Qs for our guest speaker on Tuesday (dd19!!! We're doing a unit on art. . .), there's not room for much else in our 1 hour 40 minutes of class time. (Ss get a 10 minute break in the middle, basically 2 50 minute sections.)
Next:
- go for a jog
- stop by WF en route home, even though I'll be sweaty and probably a little smelly. . .
- what else can I get done before I head otd to payroll?

Re: THINKIN' THURSDAY
Morning Y'all...
Been working around the house doing a multitude of things. Next up is re-organizing my desk and that' gonna take me a while.
I ran errands yesterday and managed to hit six stores; one of them being C oscos. Of course that meant I had bulk foods to put away so that meant I had to clean and re-arrange my refrig. Check another chore off the 30 day challenge LOL
While a w mart I tried on some sample perfumes by Vera Wang. Put one scent on one arm and another on the other. could decided which one I like best. I had pictures to print so decided to wait before choosing. A store gal past by me and then while I was doing my pictures . She asked me what I was wearing so I told her. Another person in the store did the same thing. Both were drawn to the same arm so that made choosing simple.
Have a staging center set up for items I want to bring on my trip. Its in my guess room. Then as I come across something I want to take other than clothes I place them there for packing. Have a list going as well so I don't forget anything.
Hey Elizabeth...that book you just finished wouldn't be part of the Natchez Burning series by Greg Iies would it??? Same thing happened to me...After reading the first book I waited over a year for the second one. When I found it at the library a few weeks ago I couldn't wait to read it...Something like 1400 pages later...it was in large print...I was hoping to have all the mysteries answered. Then I realized there was still one more book to come ... I'm like you I HATE, HATE, HATE when that happens.
And Lucylee...have you been reading this series set in the Old South??? Its being compared to Gone With The Wind. Don't know if I really want to start it or not. Storm Clouds Rolling In (# 1 in the Bregdan Chronicles Historical Fiction Romance Series) (Volume 1) There are seven books in the series so far. Any thoughts???
Time to eat the elephant that's sitting on my desk...I don't mind doing the work, I just hate taxing my mind making all these decisions.
Y'all have a good day and I'll cy'all later...

Re: THINKIN' THURSDAY
Home the second time. This time to stay (and put my feet up!)
Got off late, arrived just on time for the car appointment thanks to me knowing a parallel road that got me past some major congestion.
The shuttle driver showed up sooner rather than later and I was dropped at my mammogram at 10:40, thirty minutes early. He offered to wait if my appointment was going to be soon but I knew I'd be there until at least 11:40 so he left.
Was out at 11:33 and walked back to the dealership, stopping along the way at thrift stores, still looking for the perfect summer backpack purse. No luck there but got a nice wide black belt. I'm starting to need belts to hold things up or accentuate my reappearing waist. Had lunch at Subway and did my Costco run before picking up the car (same parking lot as Costco.)
Went to Walmart to look for my face lotion (it is always hard to get but this year seems impossible and I'm recalling the last time I bought it was in the US.) Tried two drug stores, no luck. Got the car washed and home.
Dh then wanted to go for a walk!
I filled in my food diary and decided on steak for dinner (I've had way too many carbs so far today) and so we walked over and picked up both steak and milk. Visited with people we ran into along the way. I like that we are getting to know people in the area.
Now to rest for a bit. I'm hungry but dh is anxious to put a bit more time in at work so I'll take a break and watch the remainder of a Nashville episode.
I'm exhausted, but rightfully so. I've already taken almost 12K steps today.

Re: THINKIN' THURSDAY
I have seen those books advertised, Rose, but I haven't read any of them yet. Seven in a series -- so far? Hmmmm... That's quite a commitment, isn't it?
Back at the ballgame.
Heading home when this one is over. Kinda nice to be out of town... Out of stressful situations...sigh.
