WTG with the weight loss, Sadie!
I think I'm living in parallel with you today, Twins, as we're preparing for dd17's bday dinner and "guests" tonight of R, S, and baby J. This is our third dinner event in a row, which is why I'm not keen on doing much tomorrow night.
More done:
- finished lunch
- got lost doing more decluttering of my inbox
- tidied the kitchen
- prepped the turkey breast for the oven and put it in
- cleaned the kitchen again
I got out the potatoes and sweet potatoes.
I was going to go for a jog, but I've just now decided not to. Time has gotten away from me. I will go with dh tomorrow a.m. S, R, and baby J will be here around 6:15, and I still need to make mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, green beans (sautéed in butter w/ fresh chopped garlic and fresh squeezed lemon juice), and a choc. mousse pie. .. . Because of baby J's bedtime, it's best if we don't start too late so we can end at a decent time. Dh and dd17 will help me.
Festive Friday

Yes, helia, we are parallels today! Also with engineering sons...
Still haven't done up the kitchen table, but need a fresh spurt of inspiration:
-kitchen table clean up
-fruit for dessert
-clean out the microwave - had an explosion in there earlier
-straighten MBR
-set up cheese, crackers, grapes, et al

Re: Festive Friday
Got the dishes ran through.
Laundry is in the dryer.
Sinks are spiffy.
10 mi. On ex. Bike done.
I have watered toms. Got some fresh ones for lunch from ours.
Hens were happily hanging out under the tree in the shade. I am just collecting the light colored eggs letting the hens set on the darkest ones.
103* we are supposed to dine out tonight but it is SO hot may just do a rain check on it. H is napping a good thing to do in this heat we have a heat advisory up until tonight.

Re: Festive Friday
Can I PLEASE have a do-over on this day???
Gosh... to say things are NOT "festive" around here is the understatement of the YEAR.
I TOLD dh last night that I wished we were back in Atlanta...
and I TOLD him this morning that we should wait till tomorrow to swap trucks back w/ds & dmom... but nooooo...
First, everything started out okay, got the car back from the transmission place, to the tune of $928... but we already knew to expect that b/c he called us while we were on our trip. And he's closed today, but he told us to call him on his cell phone and he'd meet us whatever time we wanted, so that was wonderful news.
I better put this in J&C...

Re: Festive Friday
Well, I have NOT gotten my do-over... bumper has not magically repaired itself... other person in our life has not called to say anything that would cheer up dh... I haven't even s2s today and I haven't started the declutter plan or anything else. I've just sat around and felt sorry for myself.
* sheesh *
Is it too late to salvage this day/night? I am thinking maybe I should exercise, drink some water, s2s so maybe I'd sleep better and get a head start on tomorrow -- or maybe just promise myself to s2s FIRST THING tomorrow to start the day fresh.
