April cleaning focus

It is interesting how all our kids are different isn't it - I could see ur daughter being such a good kind person bc u are that way d Harriet!

Dd younger worries me re not getting rid of anything- to the point where we had all kind of stuff kept in the basement crawl space bc even when young she couldn't let go - really bad - we ended up having to toss everything back mice got into that stuff-she says she doesn't have enough room - but hers stuff is more than clutter- she will eat in her room when studying and doesn't bring it down - eventually but a week later - I have to figure this out - how to handle it

thats why I cleaned up the basement- dd older is going to help her decide what to get rid of cloths wise - bc thats dd you gets Achilles heel -

Dd older has been good about letting go - I also have noticed bc of her work as an organizer - she doesn't keep a lot - she sees so much - her apartment bedroom is streamlined and clean.

Basement and desk area - dh and I worked hard in this area
3 big bags tossed - my paperwork craft art area looks good again - it's dejunked and in order

The rug and stairs are vacuumed and the cob webs gone
Dh taped shut the Christmas and thanksgiving boxes and put them away.

What left - for another time:
Wash the walls
Clean the mirrors on the one wall - it made the room look bigger
Get the rug cleaned
One day paint again

I'm actually excited about this weeks focus - the closets and I'm adding the garage - I have so much to let go of - hope I can make decisions

I did the entrance to the house from the garage - not a large area but it looks better - dh wasn't thrilled at all that I was cleaning in the garage bc he didn't want to do it and it's his area - he didn't say anything but I heard a couple hems and haws as I started

Cleaned out then washed front hall closet and door
Tossed some things from garage
Put summer pots outside for future planting

I did a put away and de- junk and toss out of large closet upstairs - I don't know how my dd older does it - for her job- I find going through stuff frustrating- too many decisions

Last for this week:

Go in My closet and donate or toss - nothing else

Next week is supposed to b laundry area - I have another project this week so I think the only thing I'll do is de-junk and paint the door to the garage

De-junked laundry room of my stuff - I need dh to go through his car cleaning stuff he stores there in the winter - yay it's going outside again soon
