Harmony, I do not consider a king an upgrade, but I understand that it has its pluses. I just wouldn't want to start now dealing with a larger mattress, larger sheets, larger JOB of changing the linens. Plus, I'll tell you, in a smaller house you start rethinking a lot. We have a queen and it is lots for this house. After the rest of master bedroom furniture got into the room, after allowing for the heat registers to have space, the two closets to open, a place for the quilt rack, that's obviously enough.

Early this a.m. I actually walked through a still-sleepy grocery store, for the sake of ds' birthday pie. First time in a long time. I believe early-early Fri morning is a good time for it. Got a plum parking spot, too. Happily, they had a few things we're found lacking lately - don't know if it's this store or just better transport happening in general. All aisles full.

I did all on my "tomorrow" post (from last evening) except that HRH's friend S was so sick (from taking long-term antibiotics) he could not come visit after all, and it was really a disappointment for HRH. He had even gotten dressed for a potential lunch out (nice khakis, changed to his best belt - not fancy, but nicer than he looks for family, lol).

Also, the misfit market order was one belonging to someone else and dd evidently got their order and vice-versa. They eat in, shall we say, a different way ( ). So we're sure they are as disappointed as we are, finding a lot of "hamburger" that for some reason is named "impossible", lol. Only one thing - red bell peppers - was the same. We don't know how m.m. handles this sort of thing - never happened before. Lots of the other customer's meats, bacon is waiting in our two fridge/freezers, but surely m.m. can't trust customers to carefully send perishable items back out into the world - I know I wouldn't trust it. Waiting for a call back.

Pie made. Call from tax lady who is happy with my email, happy with my dd42 (very sweet of her to say "thank you " for sending a nice customer her way).

Am I completely out of the loop, or did ya'll know there are graham-style pie crusts out there now that already have either walnuts or pecans in them? I never know if our market area is the first or the last to get new products.

I made progress in the refrigerator deep cleaning but then I stalled out. I don't like doing cold things whether it is inside or outside. #Fact.

Peek into my little corner of the world.....our only gas station in town has run out of gas. They expect to get more gas next week. I've seen reports that WMart gas station in our closest city is also sold out of gas with a wait of several days to get more. Our gas price is around $3.60 a gallon.

Think I heard low of 37 for here on Sunday, Harmony. Sounds like they're preparing for another winter storm up home. Know this one has a 'name', Quinlan. Know it will definitely be warm wear weather for church on Sunday. For some reason I was thinking RR was south of you, Harmony.

LadyM, I'm sorry to hear the effect on your nearby stations. The nearest one to us the price has just gone over the 4 dollar mark. I don't see any that are out of gas when I look online. HRH's favorite convenient one is a few cents more, I notice, probably always that way because of better location.

Watching online as a package delivery heads toward us. Supposedly we are the next stop. Um, no, since this moving target of a delivery has been going hither and yon, driving right past the turn onto our road once. I don't know how they determine that "you're next" status, but it's not because you're next. I wish I had gone on in blissful ignorance rather than check.

Tomorrow, we have a 10:00 delivery for which I'll need to be at the door. Also have things to take to dd and her boys. Then at 6:00 p.m. I take care of ds' children for 2.5 hours.

Next up I need a glass of water, wash the day's dishes after put-away, mop, video I missed this a.m., update healthy habits records.

I'm doing well with the "one good thing a day" sentences for Lent.

Good evening!

I’ve had a productive day (at least semi-productive). Got some work done, got some steps in, played a game “with” DC. (I say “with” because it’s a one player game, but DC was supervising.) I feel like I should have done more — I don’t know where the time went. I was going to make broccoli and cheese soup for supper, because DD loves it, but we were out of broccoli. I had DH pick some up on the way home — and forgot to check our milk situation. We had less than half a gallon, so we’ll be having soup tomorrow. We had salmon Newburg instead. I’m not looking forward to going after milk on a Saturday. Maybe I’ll just go to the drugstore; it’ll cost more, but it’ll be less crowded.

LadyM, I think people may be coming from miles around to buy your gas at those prices! DH paid $4.09 the other day, and when we went out later in the day, it had jumped to $4.29. Of course, gas is always more expensive here than by you. It’s only going to get more expensive with taking Russian oil out of the mix. Glad I’m not driving 80 miles a day any more.

Supply chain issues are weird. We did not have all the things we wanted at the grocery store; DH had to go to two stores to find the aforementioned broccoli. But we didn’t have anyone deliver us the wrong food, either.

Nancy, I think a “creativity room” is definitely worthy to be tackled a bit at a time. Of course, if I were the one tackling it, I’d be sitting in the corner playing with something I’d found. Make sure you give yourself plenty of credit!

I hope all goes well with your DBIL, Dee, and that you and your DH can ease your worries.

I just remembered what else I did with myself today — I had two phone calls from our elderly friend. I think she thought today was Sunday — she wanted to let us know that she wasn’t feeling up to going to church, but did I know what time they were having it on TV? As is more common lately, she rambled on about the same things multiple times. I try to be patient, because I know she’s alone and has no one to talk to in the house. Her dog died a few weeks ago, so she doesn’t even have that companionship.

Drat! I forgot to mention the laundry to DH before he went upstairs, and DC was just down here, and I forgot to mention it to them, too. So I will have to take it up myself. I have trouble because I can’t carry the basket in one hand, so I can’t really hold onto the rail.

Well, I should go do that. Sweet dreams, all!

Dee, you are right, RRose is definitely South of us. I had no idea we were getting this storm so far south. There will be a threat maybe of tornado, so I will have to keep an eye out. Not a good time for this to be happening, Sunny is on a plane tomorrow heading south. I hope they are not delayed. It was quite breezy today. My hair was all over the place blowing hither and yon.

Out this morning for my study. Interesting guest speaker. I dropped off my donations and then stopped at a home store to look for something. Could not make a decision. Went to supermarket next, had several things in my cart; put them back on the shelf, could not make a decision. Looked to buy food, could not make much of a decision and came home with a few little items. I am still moving things around trying to get organized, and simply not sure how to do it all. Wanted to stop at library for something to read but couldn't make up my mind to do that so didn't.

I feel all at odds right now. Even moving to a new house was never this bad. In new houses I put things where I thought they'd work and tweaked as I went along. Here, everything is changed and I'm having a time figuring out another way. Worked on it a bit this evening. It's a bit better.

Wanted to hose off the porch tomorrow, we'll see if I get this done if the weather cooperates. I did one last LOL before I left this morning, and hung it up when I got back home. Earlier this week I washed some things, one was a long flannel bathrobe with a belt. Noticed the belt was still attached in the belt loops and I thought oh that's alright...hung it in the garage...brought it in and the belt is nowhere to be seen. I am puzzled and disappointed. If it doesn't show up, I could maybe make a white one...I don't have any blue fleece.

Used my arms pretty hard this past week and my shoulder is sore and the muscle down into the top of my arm. Twitching going on in my right hand. About 2 or 3 times a minute. Doesn't hurt, but odd and concerning. Felt it at night lying there all relaxed. I hope this goes away.

Gas here is nearly $5.00 a gal. Bc we have state tax. Like $4.75 is is aboy .30 cents less across the river in the next state over.
I got eggs cooked and made deviled eggs.
I got the dishes done.
Zoom study tech. Worked tonite.
They have the books for the next one already in.
