Good evening!

We've been having medical adventures here. Tuesday, I had my mammogram -- almost a year to the day since the last one! But I got a call from my PA towards the end of the day saying they wanted to do a follow-up ultrasound. Wednesday, they called back, saying, "We've scheduled your ultrasound for tomorrow at 11:30 downtown." I got the message late enough in the day that by the time I called back there was no one there. Fortunately (or maybe not) they called back first thing this morning to make sure I got the message, and I was able to ask just where downtown. The main campus (which is not actually downtown) is a very large place. So, they gave me the spot, which was not where I was expecting. I thought it would be in the women's health pavilion, but they told me to go to main radiology, on the other side of the hospital. So I got to the hospital, schlepped all the way to radiology... where I was told I needed to go to the women's health pavilion. Thank heavens for the woman doing intake, who called for someone to wheel me over. I don't know that I had the trip in me. Fortunately, the ultrasound went well -- a couple of small cysts were clustered together, making them look like a lump. I'll go back in six months just to be sure all is well.

Meanwhile, DD came home from school -- her Wednesday afternoon class was cancelled, and she didn't have anything else till Friday evening, and she wanted to stop home and pick up a few things. She's staying till tomorrow, when we will drive to her apartment, pick up her roommate, and drive back even further east of here -- her poor roommate dropped something on her foot the other night and ended up in emergency with stitches in all her toes on one foot, so we will be taking her to her follow-up appointment, which they scheduled out this way. She said Lyft fare would have been about $150. After the appointment, I will take them both back to the apartment.

While I was waiting for the wheelchair this morning, I got a text from one of my coworkers. When I got back to him after my appointment, he told me he had two chapters ready for me to work on and expects to have a third done by Tuesday. Meanwhile, I'm still finishing the last project.... Alas.

I have been trying to CUOP each day, but I have not been doing so well that I could comment on anything except that I'm keeping Dee's DBIL and DSisIL in my prayers.

Sweet dreams to everyone!

Mystery, I'm so relieved to read your test turned out ok.

Busy day. Helped DH over at his job... old lady who needs a lot of help with things. The work was up over our heads and my arm and twitching hand did not like that one bit. Seems not to be any worse tonight, but I wouldn't have done that if I had any other choice. Also up a ladder to clean her 2 light fixtures on her entry porch. Fun times!

Sunny got stuck taking care of our garage door repairman because he called and wanted to come early and we weren't back yet. But the doors are done now and as I hadn't left a check for them thinking I would be here, I stopped at their shop to pay the bill. Glad that's done now.

Went to the supermarket after that ...to buy fruit for the fruit salad I was making for tomorrow's brunch at our study.... and ended up with a cartload of food. We aren't going to starve around here that's for sure!

Finished making dinner and the chili was pretty good. We didn't get any other rain but it sure seemed like something was coming, black clouds and windy, but must have passed by us. I'm sure the plants appreciated whatever we did get this morning.

Just got out of shower. Time for bed. Nancy, why are you cutting down your rose bush?

This day has been something of a wash. I was delayed in every way, it seemed. I wanted a morning shower and HRH asked me to wait since he wasn't feeling well, which was fine, as long as we were alone here. I just hung out longer in housecoat. He turned out to be okay. But then some of his extended family emailed or texted and said they wanted to come by. I raced to get dressed and gave up on the shower. He got the message to them that he was not feeling well today, so they postponed until tomorrow.

Then dd42 called and literally said, "I'm having the day from hades." So I dropped everything, stayed dressed (!) and helped her out in the few ways I could.

This was a bad day for a box of upcoming church treasurer work to arrive from the denomination at dd42's house. She was so irritated that this is still going on after these years of me (and current treasurer, I hope) trying to get them to publish the info correctly. I called the office and they were out to lunch, then called again and was sent by a receptionist to the voice mail of someone she said was only away from desk briefly and would get right back to me. But no. I waited and because of waiting didn't get out to pharmacy 2 to get my script, which was one of the few things that was rather important for the afternoon.

HRH insisted he could tell a caller about the package if he was alone when a call came, but that isn't enough. The person who has been giving the info changes all along and knows who they've talked to (me) needs to be here. I no longer have access to the printed directory and will need to ask the person to read the current entry to me so that I can either point out the (2 years of) non-updating, or point out that someone is using old info to mail these large expensive packages, which is bound to be causing more trouble than just this.

I did finally get S2Sed. I know ya'll are relieved.
