I need to be out of the house by 9:45ish for the haircut. I've s2s and need to have breakfast and finish a.m. routine. Dh has gone to work for a bit. Our friend who is going with him will be here 10:30ish? Dh asked if I'd be home to see him but I set this appt up a month ago. Trying to keep a hair appt on the books so I don't go too long and it stays looking nicer.

Once he's away I'm giving out a great big sigh and heading upstairs!

I'm off to my substitute-dd job! Just running a 4-boy household on a big school day with a bouncy puppy who has a peeing schedule out in the rain. Piece of cake. Nap at 4:00.

Good Morning1

Harriet - I hope your day goes smoothly.

Twins - I"m curious why you are working upstairs while your DH is gone?

I can't seem to stay in one place. I have a habit of moving from room to room. I like the different perspective and the laptop can be used almost anywhere. OH Wait! I remember you have multiple screens in your office. Never mind.....

What a night! We had 40mph straight winds with gust up to 70mph. The wind did a lot of damage to places. Our town has been without power since 11pm last night. School has been cancelled for today.

Our whole house generator came on instantly, but the UPS system had problems. I was too groggy from sleeping to troubleshoot it so I unplugged it and took it outdoors to remove any possible danger from our home.

Both the kids are sleeping in this morning since they don't have school.

I have an 11am doctor appt because medicare demands a yearly checkup.

LadyM, genealogy desk is upstairs! I have unlimited time and two monitors up there! (Mostly) comfortable desk. Daybed for nap.

Dh and I finally got to the restaurant that we had a gift certificate for. They only do breakfast, and it's a place we had been to once before and we didn't like it then. After we left this morning, we both decided that we still don't like it. Even with a gift card, it still cost $35 plus the tip.

Dh has no customers today, so he is changing my tires back to my summers. YAY!

Dishwasher is going. I also have a couple of pots and pans to wash.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

Taking a break.

Felt a little over whelmed this morning as I have been interrupted many times with phone calls and emails that needed to be dealt with and then trying to help Sweetie with them.

Had to remind myself I have plenty of time before we move to get things done. Didn’t sleep well and am sure much of it had to do with these blessed shingles plus getting every thing done around here.

Gonna take a break and breath :D

Home from doc appt. The interaction with medical staff went well. I will have blood work and bone scan done just to make sure everything is still within normal limits. I'm not a fan of the illogical paperwork medicare wants to be filled out each year. I have two health proxies and they know my desires about Cpr, ventilation, etc. It frustrates me the medicare advance directives want firm yes/no answers to vague questions. I filled out 6 pages of questions and brought 4 more home with me to fill out at my leisure and take them back to the doc office.

I took my frustration to the garden and planted 6 Begonias. Win-Win! Frustration is reduced and flowers are in the ground.

I'm eating lunch using my new-to-me healthy menu plan. It seems to be so much food and takes a long time to eat it. 12 oz of vegetables, 4 oz beans, 3 oz meat, 2 oz avocado.

Dropped off more book donations at the on my way home library.
Had lunch.
Rolled got baked.
Laundry is in the dryer.
