Tuesday Mulligan PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

A mulligan is a do over - most commonly used in golf to take another shot when the first went awry. https://golfbit.com/what-is-a-mulligan-in-golf

For me, today feels like a do over of yesterday because I rescheduled my body work to this a.m., and then my portfolio mentor rescheduled our discussion that was to be yesterday at 2 to today at two. Her internet was down yesterday - not sure why she couldn't email via cellular to let me know but whatever! So today, for me at least is a rewind of yesterday.

So I'm unilaterally granting the village a mulligan - a do over on whatever is needed. It can be used today, or saved until needed! Use it wisely!

The good news for me is that even tho I have two events on my calendar, dh is still out tonight bowling so I have the p.m. free. I also have a Zoom at 7 with my peer group. Don't know if that will happen, there were only two of us to begin the last one, then another showed up for part of discussion. I'm actually getting less and less out of the group so it won't bother me if we don't meet.

I need to get moving, as usual!

Good Morning!

I came here earlier and was met with an error -
General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]
MySQL server has gone away [2006]
Thankfully after waiting a few minutes the SHE board is back! Thank you, Kathryn & Ken!

My day is off to a good start. I made a conscious consistent effort yesterday to do my best in whatever I was doing. It was empowering, enjoyable, and a bit addicting. I want to repeat the same mindset today.

Routines #1 through #5 are completed well. Homeschool is #6 and it is underway.

I'd like a "mulligan" day today. Yesterday was so productive, so hoping for a 2-peat.

So nice to see Sunny and know that you're still visiting with Harmony. Wishing there was some way to get together, but know that's just not going to happen (not this year anyway -and then we have RR not too far away).

It was very interesting watching across the street (not spying mind you -just in my line of vision). They brought in at least 12 big loads of topsoil and spread it in what has always been a pasture. We really wonder what they're going to put in there. But, at any rate, one of those trucks evidently had backed up to dump his load and I thought to my self, "Self, it looks like that truck is leaning". And it kept leaning more. Went out to get the mail a little later and one of the guys asked me if there had been a house or possibly a septic tank there at one time. I definitely had no idea. They had to get a big tow truck to pull him out -but only after they dumped that load in the hole. :? (We certainly hope it was an old building/septic tank and not a sink hole).

Dh said about 50% of the permanent members came in and opened up their RV's yesterday. They had beautiful weather Sunday & yesterday. That is until the winds started up to 70mph and tornado warnings to boot. It's going downhill from there. Snow is forecast (REALLY???) for tomorrow. Hopefully dh will be able to take a day off. He's been working overtime but supposedly is only allowed up to 30 hours per week. Sure they don't want to be paying overtime.

Today I have 2 closet inserts being brought in today (one is being put in on Thursday and one on Saturday).

Morning…

Taking my first break.

This morning Sweetie and I moved all the unpacked boxes into my office. Crowded but doable to work around it. Then we rearranged the garage to accommodate Sweeties car which is being stored in my sons garage. This was all my idea so that Sweetie could get his car here.

Then we spent time and energy rearranging Sweeties office. I mopped and vacuumed a bit around the house.

After my break we are heading to WM. I hope to find some things I need to keep organizing around the house. Yesterday I emptied 6 boxes that all went into the kitchen. I worked till 4 and called it a day.

To day is my birthing day! 41 years ago at this moment I was 36 hours into miserable labor with 6 more hours to go. I never tell pregnant women my story when asked.

However for the first time in 26 years I get to eat birthday cake with my son. This make this mom happy!!!

Happy birthing day, RR. So glad you can finally share it with your DS! Great work on the settling taking place down there!

Yes, Sunny, those last 2 Lightning games were ultra exciting. Glad they were on their game when I went Thursday. But then I couldn't sleep most of the night as I 'was chasing pucks all night' I did sleep off and on last night but ended up with over 9 hours. I'd gotten up around 8 and figured I'd lay back down just for 'a little while' uh hour and 40 minutes later I finally woke up. Even then I wasn't ready to get up but finally did. It would be nice if the Lightning's play is up to those 2 games when playoffs start. But the chances of them doing a 3-peat are pretty slim. I'll be waiting on the results of the first few games to see if DD will be going north the end of May -or will she still be working? If they're still in the playoffs I have a reservation to fly north out of Tampa on May 28th. I can cancel it and use credit toward my flight next fall if she's going home then. All remains to be seen. She's supposed to go back to school to settle her classroom on May 31st -day after Memorial Day. Why the school board does that is anyone's guess. Kids are out on May 26th. They're done for goodness sake! I imagine it has to do with the # of days.

DD was hoping to get one of the 'mock up' championship rings but they weren't allowed. She noted that some people (and they gave them to everyone in attendance this one particular night) are selling them online for as much as $250! She'd just like one for her hockey collection and she has quite a bit as it is. Her brothers say, "Well, at least one of us made it to the N H L." So I guess all those $$$$ we spent while our boys were growing up had a good outcome for at least one of our offspring! :D It's paying for her vacation home up north for the summers.

Actually dsonil was out in his shop (for the first time in who knows how long) by the time I got out to the kitchen.

I feel like a car that's been tuned up and tires aligned.

I forgot I needed to go to Tar jay after body work, so I'm heading back out. Like bw2 at Pottery Barn and C and B I might walk through Target while I'm there.

And.....I decided I can go tomorrow. I'm going out to get a pedicure. And our street out to the main road is closed off for some kind of road work and I have to go way around and it's inconvenient. While just coming back, I passed a neighbor who flagged me down and was lost. She followed me back to our street.

I got the same error earlier, Dee. I think the board is running slow. I've doubled posted twice and had to delete one.

I think I'm running slow too. Can't get started. Need to finish a.m. routine at least. I've had two productive days and need to keep up the trend.
