Re: May the Fourth be with you - PWYC edition
My black cloud has receded I think. At least I'm in a better mood today.
Today is DPC day. I have three to make, on hold on the first already with speaker on phone.
OK, on to second call, on hold now...
I was good with steps yesterday. When I'm done with this DPC, I'll head out to walk this morning. We had a big ole' T storm last night. It was really lovely to get a great rain for the yard.
OK, second call done. And going to walk three laps now.

Re: May the Fourth be with you - PWYC edition
Good Morning!
Twins - Thanks for the start today. It put a smile on my face.
I'm embracing the normal days after the child raising trials of last week. Normal is easy.
Today calendar shows these events
** DH taking DMIL grocery shopping since it is senior day with 5% off everything. She loves the feeling of getting a "good deal".
** 4pm DH starts cooking fish and chicken strips for Fish Fry
** 5pm I start preparing drinks and setting up for Fish Fry
** 5pm DD10 has play practice
** 5:45pm Fish Fry meal with church family
Wednesday is weekly tasks in the kitchen. I'll work on them while making/baking a peach cobbler to take tonight.
Homeschool is underway. It is challenging to stay focused and motivated with homeschool lessons when the public school has stopped doing lessons and are doing extracurricular activities every day. Only 13 more days of school....
My early morning visit to the garden resulted in discovering that something took the bottom off another one of my Tam Jalapeno plants. The plant was about 12" tall but all of it was gone except for the top 2 branches. The rest of the plant was pulled down into a hole. I don't know if these remaining branches can survive but I immediately put them into wet dirt with hopes they can regrow roots. I am 90% sure this damage is the same mole that took 2 other pepper plants a couple days ago. Last time I located their tunnel and flooded it. Today I couldn't find their tunnel leading to this plant so they must have filled it in with dirt. I am not amused to be outsmarted by a mole.

Re: May the Fourth be with you - PWYC edition
my hope for the next couple months is to check in here for most of the day!
I missed you all while all the work was being done.
I have to admit that yesterday I hit my work load threshold ability. (just like my clutter threshold - my work threshold ability is lower as well)
Yesterday I had dirt/compost delivered and they put it behind my dh's side of the garage so that his car is stuck - I have to move 80 bags so that he can get out of the garage.
In other words I can't do all the work I planned - I severely over goal-ed.
I went over my work threshold ability.
right now I am looking at over 50 plants to plant - I have a young man coming on Saturday to help
I have the inside yard to fix that the dogs tore apart this winter when dd's dog came -
My veg and flower Garden is at eeek level.
the landscape architect didn't measure and I found out that I have to reconfigure the drawing and move plants around. I am used to that but it will take an afternoon to fix it.
my fence is falling apart and needs washing too
I have boxes to unpack
I have to finish putting away int the garage
I have dd Youngers bedroom still put with stuff
I have the basement with dd Youngers and older cloths
painting furniture for outside but it's been too cold
painting trim on windows that are already taped but it's been too cold
buy utility sink and have plumbers and city come in.
dogs ate their bed - dh picked up most of it- now my turn
looking at this list makes me realize that no wonder I feel way over my work threshold - NO wonder!!!!
time to break things down to get it under control again.
Junk K ing picked up the old treadmill dd had for years - she didn't want to get rid of it but she has a new machine in the basement - two weeks ago we had talked to her about it and she again didn't use it. It hasn't been used for over 6 months - Dh and I put up a $5.00 bet of when she will notice - I say this weekend and he says a month or more.
dishes done
first meds
first visual clutter - no routines today -
cheering you all on. Rah Rah Rah

(((Blessed))) BWTG on realizing this and Double BWTG in knowing how to break things down into manageable chunks.looking at this list makes me realize that no wonder I feel way over my work threshold - NO wonder!!!!
time to break things down to get it under control again.
I've weedeated around the garden even though it didn't need it. Obviously, I am procrastinating on doing the routine things that are patiently waiting for focus and effort from me.
I'm staying weather alert today. They have predicted 70% chance of tornadoes, 100% chance of thunderstorms with 2" to 7" in rain. The weather guys are running models and watching the weather factors to see if they will all play nicely together or team up to create something unpleasant. The good news is our Burn Ban has been lifted and we are no longer in drought status.

Yes, bw2! I bet if you estimated the time each of those would take, it would add up to a whole whole lot! Cut yourself some slack, do what you can and leave some time for self care and recreation. (Although planting may be recreation, you sound like you're under the gun!)

Re: May the Fourth be with you - PWYC edition
Not even cuop at least for right now. I'm trying hard to eat some vanilla yogurt. Had a tooth pulled (with quite a bit of difficulty) this morning & I barely can open my mouth.
Dh got a new box for cable yesterday and I'm trying to figure out what I need to do for him to set it up. I'm not doing too well at that either.
Had extreme tummy problems when I got to the Dentist this morning. Hygienist said to me later that she wondered if it was the 4 antibiotic capsules I had to take before going in. Don't usually have that problem -but was in the bathroom 3 times while there -once had to get up and go in just before Dr was going to inject the novacaine.
I'd taken an immodium just before I left home this morning.
Think I'll go rest some more and perhaps read for a while. Thinking I'm going to take something soon for a very achy jaw soon. Had no problem with the other extraction I had in March -it's not looking like I might be so lucky this time.

Re: May the Fourth be with you - PWYC edition
Went to costc o and returned something. Other stores could learn from this place how easy a return can be. No fuss, no muss.
Walked allllllll the way back to my car to realize that I needed to pick up 2 things for dh. Much less expensive than that other big box store.
Went and got some groceries. Went to both banks. All the bills are paid for the month! Yay! I always feel good when I do this.
Walburgers was on this morning and Blue Bloods is on this afternoon.
I am trying something new on the BBQ this afternoon. I was looking at a box of shake n bake and there were instructions on how to cook Shake n baked chicken on the BBQ. It involves a foil container, which I have, so I am going to try it.
