Wrap up the week Friday PWYC
Wrap it up! Let's wrap up the week in style, finish the tasks, get the projects landed on the ground! Whatever comparisons you're using, we're on the path to the finish line!

Re: Wrap up the week Friday PWYC
My cleaning lady just showed up, so now I can take it easy for a couple of hours. Just spent the last 2 hours tidying up so she can clean.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

Re: Wrap up the week Friday PWYC
Ahhh.....a good night's sleep -how wonderful that feels!
Trying to wrap my head around end of year things I need to do here to ready for the trip north. DD has vascillating feelings about going north. Dsonil has to go to a neurosurgeon June 6th for his back and she's nervous about where that might lead. Then she's worried about dbil being all alone all summer -well he'll have a couple of neighbors but that's about it. She's asked dsonil if he would go over there about once a week just to check on him and see if he needs anything. But I have my doubts he'll do it unless she pushes him.
Asked dh last night how he was doing. "Okay". Asked him again and he admitted he has his moments -no doubt! Other than his nieces and nephew on the west coast that's all the family dh has left.
I'll be so glad to be a week out from this extraction. I can start lightly rinsing with salt water later today (48 hours). Have to go back for a light cleaning and check up in 2 weeks.
Okay, I'm off to see what damage control I can do and wrap up my week.

RR, but failed to wish you a Happy Birthday on April 30th. So a very belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU. Guess I've been pretty preoccupied.
Belated greetings to
Ken & Kathryn a Happy Anniversary yesterday. Hope you had a special day!
Less stiff today trying to get limber again. Moving kinda slow.
Qt & planning done.
Bfast next.
Went to plant sale. Got a few to plant.
Cooked up meat for a hand pie and I am cooking up veg. in the crock pot.
Walked the ddog between showers.

Re: Wrap up the week Friday PWYC
House is clean and sparkly. Now I can put away the clean dishes and the clean laundry from the dryer and go to knitting.
Dh is freaking out because the chest freezer is almost empty. I have those large reusable shopping bags in the bottom. One for beef, one for chicken and one for pork. The chicken and pork ones are empty. Dh said he doesn't want to just have ground beef in the freezer. Tonight we are having the last package of pork chops. Unfortunately the only thing on sale where we buy our meat is ground beef. Maybe I should go out there and take a look. I might even see if the freezer needs the glaciers knocked off it's inner walls aka "defrosted". I do know that there is at least 1 pack of ribs and some sausage, because they live in the 2 baskets.
Tonight's supper is shake and bake pork chops as requested by dh.

Re: Wrap up the week Friday PWYC
My morning has been smooth and productive. I woke up at 6:30am feeling well rested and ready to get started. 5.5 hours later I am stopping to take a break. I was surprised to see I've accumulated 5k steps this morning because it seems hard to collect steps while doing things inside the house.
DH is with his DMom.
DS13 is working.
DD10 is feeding her rabbits and finishing cleaning her bedroom.
We did team cleaning this morning, so the house is as clean as it gets.
This afternoon we have our last 2 medical appts of the week. Both are with our family doctor. DS13 has appt at 1pm for acne and my appt is at 1:30pm to discuss blood test results. My blood test results are posted on the lab website, so I've been able to compare the results to my past few years of blood test. Everything looks great except for cholesterol still too high. I have tried several statins and other meds to reduce cholesterol but all of them make my muscles ache. I am willing to try again if they can find something that will lower cholesterol without painful side effects.
Yesterday we all went to the dentist and 3 out of 4 of us had no cavities. DH will return in June to have a cavity filled.

Re: Wrap up the week Friday PWYC
I didn't have time to post earlier - I was to meet dfriend for dress shopping for Z's wedding at 10 at the mall - as it turned out, the store we were going to now doesn't open until eleven. So she ran errands and I did a little looking around in Home Goods and World Market. Didn't take long to find an acceptable dress - I told her it didn't have to be the perfect dress, just something that fits and looks nice. And this one doesn't need altering at all. This is the dress I ended up with in navy... https://www.dillards.com/p/s.l.-fashion ... /506306439 Wondering now if I should order in the royal blue and return the navy. I have silver shoes and an evening purse that will work with the dress.
While out, I also got "bra fitted" and got a black bra to go under the dress - one that fits my current size. So that's squared away. We come home from the beach on 19 May and leave for the wedding on 2 June, two weeks later. So I'm set.
I also gassed up the car while out. I need to go to the grocery but now have the guys from the builder here. We found an outlet that doesn't work, one light doesn't work, and the there's some issue with the door that dh has been wound up about.
I don't know what's for supper. I need a trip to the grocery and was planning to figure out supper while I was there, then the builder guy called about coming today.
Dh is home now and supposed to be telling them what needs doing.
Updated: dh is going back to work, I thought he was home for the day, so I have to stay here until the guys finish. I took meat loaf out of the freezer to thaw for our supper.

We have a T-storm going through right now, I feel a little uneasy upstairs in this house. Tornado watch (meaning "conditions are right for the formation...") until 8 p.m. this evening.
Minutes later, it's calmer now. I hope things are okay for Lucylee. Now there's a severe T storm watch, but maybe it's the one coming through right now? Geez.

Whining alert....feel free to pass on by
Home from the 2 doctor appts. Mine was not what I expected. I am feeling a bit shell shocked because I wasn't prepared. I was expecting the cholesterol talk but they were more concerned that I spectacularly flunked my bone density test. There was a huge change since my last bd test in 2019. They said I am too young to have this substantial risk for fracture so will start monthly infusion therapy at the hospital for the next 12 months. Then I will switch to taking bi-annual treatment. By the time they got to the cholesterol discussion I was feeling about 150 years old, and it just got worse. She said "I've never seen anyone with cholesterol this high. You have the highest of any of my patients". Well. Great. If this was a contest, I really am not proud to be the winner. Now I'm feeling about 300 years old. Anyway, I went into this appointment taking one prescription (weekly vit d) and left the appointment with 6 prescriptions. I am going for carotid arteries test next week. Let's see if that body part is falling apart too.
