Harriet - That is sad to have property destroyed! When I was reading it I had the same thought as the police - probably teenagers. Hopefully a home or business nearby will have cameras that can identify potential suspects.

Home from a quick trip to the city. I picked up my new prescriptions and DD10 picked out five summer shirts, summer PJ and slippers. I need to verify it, but she should have enough clothes for camp now.

DH and I are teaming up to make breakfast for supper (bacon, pancakes, and scrambled eggs). I'm cooking bacon and eggs. He is cooking pancakes.

We are having another triple digit day of heat. This is unusual this early in the season. Our low temperature at night (74) is our normal high temperature at this time of the year.

I'm wondering if everyone is having slowed response on our site?

Yes, Mystery. "End of Grade". Dd42's 4 children are in our state's public school through the online program/system. All of those students have in-person EOG testing at just a few testing sites around the state. We're actually lucky because dd's hybrid in-person work office is in the same town as the one to which the kids are assigned, so she has somewhere constructive to be while they test for hours.

I know IXL - youngest here is using it, too, LadyM.

My plans for mixing and spraying for the garden/outdoors and for dd's plants are all sidelined today. I'm genuinely tuckered out and will think about this again tomorrow.

I got home to find that HRH had ordered pizza, which shows how sidelined his plans became, as well.

I need to go to my car trunk and complete the rescue of a few things from the house break-in escapade. All those of us present today agreed that I would take home the tableware utensils that match my dmother's, which I still use here. I must be careful of glass shards. Also, there were 3 church books, each genuinely harmed overnight in the weather (thrown out of the garage closet as if nothing and then rained upon). I want to see if there is any hope.

Yet another cousin is scheduling a walk-through with a larger group of us. I dread the upcoming decisions, dollars. A man comes tomorrow morning to board up all the broken windows.

I'm posting from my phone. Site has been very slow loading pages, or not at all, so posting while I can get in.

Lucy, I hope your dh will get some help from doctor appointment tomorrow.

Harriet, I'm sorry about the break-in of dcousin's house. Scary to think it happened and no one saw or heard anything.

It was a quiet day yesterday. I texted with all three dsons and ddils, talked with dgrdaughter-H, also dson-T.

Today has been a quiet day of R & R... reading and relaxing. The temperature reached 90° today and lots of sun. Waving hello to everyone!

I had a hard time getting on our site for the most of the day.

I made huge headway in the garage. My side of the garage is almost done - I want to go up in the attic (in the garage and empty what few things are there) - I am shocked at how much room dh and I have after the mower, tiller, trimmer, gas cans, weed wack-er is gone.

dh also let me get rid of one of the bikes! - there is only one bike left. dd younger has hers.

I was able to move dd older desk against the wall! (she saved herself $518 by not having the movers take it).
The garage is looking so much better.

hi d sunny!
I am so glad you had a quiet day today and yesterday - so relaxing!!!
it's so odd to hear it so warm when a girl from Idaho sent a picture of snow.
---------------------
I am sure the kiddos will love being done with testing d harriet
I am glad you are taking the time to rest and put off until later the outside work! all kaput! let it go let it go so you can go and rest! (you hear me singing specially to you)

I am so sorry to hear about the break in - that's terrible! Why can't some people choose to do good instead of hurting other people. so sorry this happened. to be honest it really sounds more like people looking for things to sell than just teens.

one time a woman who I had sat for (dd younger was in school) had her home used as a party house when they went away for 2 weeks on vacation -it's a huge huge house -(he was a developer) - it was horrible what they did. It was a bunch of teenagers.

Again I am so sorry d harriet!

------------------
hi d Lucy I will be thinking of your dh tomorrow!

------------------

hi d lady - you have been very busy!
ooo I love breakfast for super!
too hot - glad your dd was able to stay home!

----------------------------------------
hi d mystery! lol I had swept out and really vacuumed the fireplace not to long ago - there was only wood and kindling - they LOVED the kindling. I have no idea what goes through the pups mind. she is still in a chewing phase and I thought it would be done by now ;) :D

that was really wonderful of you to bring communion to your elderly friend! I know she hears you when you talk even if she can't talk back. when my aunt - at a young age - had a stroke she could understand everything and hear everything but couldn't respond.

I am so glad you had time with d friends - I love playing games. It's always nice to have time with d friends.

----------------------------------------

I hope I didn't miss anyone - I can only go back so far.

what I should do: empty the dw
what I will do: put the mail in my bill bin
put my feet up - maybe
I also need to empty the dw of clean dishes
I feel like continuing to work but maybe it is best to not over do.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

I took DD10 to the farm and stayed 30 minutes visiting with Rachael. I came back home and cleaned out the refrigerator and wiped the containers down. Then I returned to the farm and brought DD10 home. It still amazes me how much DD10 loves being surrounded by animals and all that comes with that. This is the same girl that I found sleeping in the living room a couple of nights ago because there was a fly in her bedroom. She is terrified of a fly being in her bedroom but doesn't seem to notice all the flies at the farm.

I still need 1.4k steps to meet my daily goal. It is too hot to mow so I think I will just walk around outside. I haven't gathered asparagus yet today, so I need to do that. There is always an abundance of sticks to be gathered.

Got a mower blade.
Made cookies, and she fixed a drawer.
Got plans for the gate project drew up and prices for that.

Another time ya'll will wonder how many cousins I can possibly have.

On the other side of my family, heard from much older dcousin who is moving several states away to spend golden years, he says. He is the one in the family who was given the typewriter of our great-great uncle who was something of a man of letters, a state rep. Before he moves, cousin would like to give it to me to keep it close here among more family, and I think that's really lovely of him. Cousin and I are comparing notes on everything we each know about this ancestor. The keepsake I had inherited was his gavel.

Tomorrow I would like to
do the spraying I put off today
correspond further with dcousin
maybe go with HRH and carpenter

Wednesday dd23 comes by and I also take care of grandboys Wed through Fri for some of the hours of each day.

Thank you to Sunny for noticing lucylee's post - I had missed that her dh will get to see dr tomorrow.
