Well happy Friday -

for me it is:
Little bear, little bear what do you see?
I see a lot of work looking at me!

How did it get this way?
It must be that I frolicked and played through my days and didn't put the mess away!!!

There is visual clutter all through the house!
There is stuff all over that I need to denounce!!!

The family room, the halls, the garage and so much more
It doesn't belong here or there and needs to get off the floor!

I will cheer myself on with a rah rah rah
until I can look around and give you a list of my ta da's

I hope to be cheerful in spirit
as I work hard on my home to definitely clear it.

- sorry bad rhyme.

first things first. putting timer on:
dd older is off of work today and is taking all the laundry to the laundry mat - thrilled that I don't have to go.
water outside before the heat gets the better of me.

Wishing you a wonderful day

Morning…

I don’t know Harriet sounded good to me :D

I’ve been up since early this morning and already been to the grocery store. Came home reorganized my refrigerator and freezer, have the laundry going and about to attack another box. I did one yesterday amount other things and am determined to put a dent in the other boxes today if I’m not side tracked by Sweetie.

He’s still fussing with putting up my butterfly boxes. To be honest it can be complicated because some days I’m working with a genius mind and others a toddlers. I know this is a pride thing for him because in the past hanging these three boxes would be a no brainer. He’s started and stalled for 2.5 days now and it wouldn’t be a problem if I didn’t have other things I need him to do for me.

I finally gave my suggestions to him to help him get out of his confusion and I think it helped. Fingers crossed.

In the meantime I’m taking a break and finishing my first cup of coffee.

LadyM … glad you found a counselor that can work with your DD.

Waving to y’all… my coffee’s gone and so am I :D

I have arrived without a problem, blessed.

blessed, your poem is great - I smiled the whole way through. You used "denounce" in a poem! That's downright literary.

A success in helping a cousin find info on our great-great uncle. I found an article about his death that was 3 columns in his work-city newspaper, beginning as front-page news. I'm convinced my parents did not know the article or it would have been among their clippings. But my ddad was 16 when the gentleman died, so not a decision-maker or one who was given clippings. Extraordinarily interesting life, holding several offices, having so many friends. He had been a huge influence on my ddad.

He lost a leg as a young adult but managed to do so much with his prosthetic. Possibly because he had only one leg, he never married. I suppose that's one reason we had a hard time learning about him, with no direct line to keep memories.

I have a day off, and because it was a surprise I don't know what to do with it. I cooked last evening. Went to dd's this a.m. to pick up our part of a grocery order.

Have been working on kitchen but it still looks so needy.

spent the morning watering as well as picking up the overturned grass - I can't get to everything bc the sun was getting to the dogs.

in 15 minutes move the hose

After lunch:
pick up d mom's mail and mail it to my d brother as he has covid (just a bit of a cold type thing - thank goodness!!!)

dd older is still at the laundry mat.

what needs doing after dropping the mail at ups store:
wash the rest of the children's (wood) kitchen set and dropping it off at the donation place
All the stuff I put out at the curb was picked up by the garbage man - I gave him a tip and a thank you as it was so much more than he should have to do. He is a really nice man.

I left the house within an hour of waking up this morning. 6 hours later I am home again. While in the city I accomplished -
** I had 3 Heart tests. (Echocardiogram, EKG, and Carotid ultrasound) All of them are super simple with just relaxing while they do the tests.
** Filled up with gas ($3.74 gallon)
** Shopped for summer shorts for me. I discovered my shorts from last year have holes. I prefer longer shorts (9+ inches) which can be a challenge to find sometimes. I found 2 pair so I'm good to go.
** Picked up curb side dog/cat food/litter order.
** Met DGS25 at a newly opened store and shopped with him. He found one thing, but I didn't find anything of interest.
** ate lunch with DGS25 at Golden Corral
** bought 20 bags of soil and two types of compost. DGS25 loaded them for me. He picks up 50 lb bags and easily tosses them as if they weigh the same as a paper towel. I am thankful for his desire to help and am quite willing to watch with fascination as he does this.

While I was gone the metal fencing material we ordered for the new fence was delivered. Apparently, the equipment they were using to deliver couldn't get the long pieces into the back yard so DH told them to put it in the front yard and he would carry it to the back yard. When DS13 came home for lunch he called me in a panic demanding that I tell DH to stop working. He was afraid DH was going to overheat. ANYway......all is well that ends well. I got home and got DH cooled down.
