Sunday - what inspiration would you like to hear? pwyc

Post by blessedw2 »

What is the inspiration that would make you feel would energize you this week?

Imagining yourself, with all of your friends here, listening to a speaker that would touch your heart and inspire you! To give you all the good vibes that you walk away being confident and walk the walk you want to do. What would the topic be for you?

What does this week look like for you? How can you be your own cheerleader without over goal-ing!
it is always a joy to be here with you!

I need "Inspiration" for sure this morning. I'm feeling really 'down' and trying to revamp my attitude. Dh came in and told me we'd had a complaint -that someone was driving his cart with a dog and driving recklessly. I immediately burst into tears. Dh then said, "Come on....you should know by now I'm kidding." Neighbors across the street were teasing him evidently about me driving with DBiscuit last night. I just seem to be very tense and easily startled, etc -or take things wrong. Found myself wishing this morning that I could just stay in FL.

I do have motivation however -I've been cleaning things out. Fortunately I did a pre-check-in for dh with his gastro Dr tomorrow afternoon. When I reached the end it stated his appointment as "Telehome with Dr. U". He had a televisit in December and had no idea this was not an in person visit. So have a note for him to call the office in the morning to check it out. I'm pretty sure he's due either/or both for endoscopy/colonoscopy this year. Glad I called as that will save at least 60 miles on our gas tank if the televisit is the case.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Had my best ever night's sleep in 2 1/2 years (according to Fitbit) Two Tylenol 3's must have had something to do with that, plus I have gotten into the habit of nothing to drink after supper for quite some time now.

Lower half of face is swollen, but today I am up and doing stuff, like laundry. All clean laundry is away. Dh just cut the grass. At some point today he will go to a local store and get me some stuff to put on my lips, there are 2 tiny cuts in one corner. I don't know if that's from the surgery or if I did it. Plus my lips are really dry and getting cracked a bit. (Details regarding this paragraph are in J & C.)

Had chocolate ice cream, apple sauce and jello yesterday. Dh made me some scrambled eggs, but they were too hard for me, and VERY greasy.

Dh did some dishes yesterday, but there is a bunch beside the sink. I want to do them, but dh said he would.

I've been doing a lot of napping, cross stitching and reading. Also texting with my dd. Plus lots of internet.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

No needed inspiration for me at the moment...

I spent the morning watching the French Open while folding my laundry. I just finished paying my bills and am in no rush to do much of anything. Think I'm going to go down the rabbit hole for a while....haven't done that in some time.

My office still needs some work, but I'm at the point where I just want to relax and do something fun for me. It will all be here when I'm ready.

I wonder if your hormones are off d dee. I am so sorry you feel on edge and teary eyed. This happens to me and there is no explanation - I tell everyone in the family; if they haven't figured it out already. I have a good cry sometimes once - sometimes a couple times that day. The nice thing is that it doesn't go on forever. I give myself the gift to know I am weepy and don't fight it. I also have to stay away from noise as I also startle easily. Rarely is there a reason. I hope you feel better soon!

hello d Cathy - how wonderful to have such a lovely night sleep! wonderful!!!!
I am sorry your face is swollen! hope that goes away fast!
I am glad you are relaxing!!!

hello d Nancy!
I love that you are learning as you go! good for you!!!!
I know today when I was at home de pot - I thought I would like to learn how to tile and carpentry. right now I am too busy but I think that will be my goal for winter. Thanks for being such a good role model.

oooo the French open - how fun!!!! enjoy the rabbit hole! good for you!!! waving at you too, d rose!

hello d everyone!

I am very tired but it is probably the hours of working outside yesterday. I think instead of working in the veg garden like I planned that I will clean up the mess in the garage I made.
maybe Work inside straightening and do the floor or just putz -
water the morning glories.

Yesterday I listened to taming of the shrew and finished it.. I always loved Shakespeare's comedies. (I loved the Taming of the shrew with Elizabeth Taylor).
it is always a joy to be here with you!

I am living with a 13 year old male. I'm reminding myself that crazy is normal.

A month ago, I asked DS13 - Do you want to go to camp this year? He said absolutely no.
A couple weeks ago I asked DS13 - Do you want to go to camp this year? He said absolutely no.
Last week I asked DS13 - Do you want to go to camp this year? He said absolutely no.
Yesterday when I was paying for DD11 camp I asked DS13 again - Are you sure you don't want to go to camp this year? He said No. I do not want to go.

This morning DH and I kept the nursery during Sunday School and then went to the sanctuary for worship service. We sat down and exhaled after caring for the little ones. I had about 3 minutes of calm before DS13 came up and said "I want to go to camp. Ben said it isn't too late to sign up." My jaw dropped and I responded, "But they are leaving in an hour!" DS13 reminded me that he washed all his clothes yesterday, so everything is clean and ready for the week. I took a deep breath and agreed to him going. DS13 called his boss and asked if he could have the week off. His boss was not happy about it but said "Yes, go to camp". DS13 and I had to make a quick trip to local $ store for a few items. Then it was a flurry of activity while we gathered everything and packed it. I heard there are 19 high school (9th-12th grade) youth going and at least 3 sponsors. .

My week has just become simple with only 1 child. On second thought.....Not really. DD11 is in a 3D animation class this week in the city. I will be driving her to that and waiting 4 hours each day for her to get out of class. That will be taking 24 hours out of my week Ohs well.

Oh, I hope Cathy keeps feeling better and better! I agree that I can't stand an egg cooked with too much fat, but it was a good idea for him to try an egg for you. Maybe one scrambled with milk and cooked in a tiny bit of butter? hugs to you.

Dee, more hugs for you. You don't have to feel chipper all the time. Sometimes things strike you "wrong" and your mind naturally explores that for a while. If we didn't feel down sometimes, we wouldn't know when we feel up! Teasing that's fun most of the time can feel harsh when the other person didn't know we actually needed comfort. I hope that appt is the convenient kind.

LadyM, I don't know what to say, lol. Maybe there's a blessing in there somewhere! At least you won't be hours away from one of the children yet responsible if needed. That would have made for a tougher week for you. I can hear HRH's frequent parenting quote though: "Lack of prior planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Something in what blessed posted to begin made me remember that I wrote down inspiration from a lecture I heard last night (from 2001) about having many interests.
I want your loves to be multiple. I don't want you to be a snob about anything.
I want you to envy me my joy. Get out of here tonight and ask, "am I joyful?"
It's got to be with a great sense of fun. Writer's block? You're being warned.
Your subconscious is saying, "I don't like you any more". (crowd laughs)
