What can you do today? Not what you think you should do today?
Yesterday I realized I had fallen into the trap of seeing the mountain of work - all of the work that would take me a couple weeks - as having to be done in one day. I was looking at the broad picture - the mountain - and not seeing the path right in front of me that was doable.
How about you?
The old saying "your eyes being bigger than your stomach" tells me I am doing the same thing with my work. My eyes are seeing everything and thinking I have to do everything.
Today is a day of "Do what you can - and do it simply" - Doing one little thing is good enough!
How will you stay on your path without looking at the mountain and wishing you could get there - now. The path, step by step, will get you to where you want to go. Enjoy the path instead. Enjoy the view instead of panicking that you haven't reached the mountain yet.
Tuesday - are you getting stuck - are you looking at the mountain instead of the path

That probably can apply to a lot of things, Blessed. Thanks for those wise words.
Today my path takes me to Atlanta. (Literally, LOL!)
I will focus on being with dh and relaxing, away from the obligations of home.
Hope you all have a great day!

My path ....
Two Frogs worst things first.
1.Took trash to curb.
2. Gutter by deck to clean in a bit.
Other tasks floors & chores BWP.
I Learned on Sun. after I had been with pastor briefly chatting no hugs she got a pos. c-19 test.
I had been around dd & dgd hugged them.
So... waiting and not going off the property much the next couple of days.
I looked at on hand food I am good.
Meat pies & froz. pizza & soup veg. froz & canned & juice v-8 & diet cranberry.
Meat in freezer hb patties, chicken strips for one meal.
Meat pouches tuna, chicken, & pork.
The good news is that I have packages coming to look forward to coming this week.
One came yesterday. I made a stay-cation list that is fun to think about.
My gold hp cover is set up came yesterday. Book on the way and 2 guided journals one for goals, the other be happy I think.
A new journal I got last mo. that I have not used yet.
Rainbow yarn project to begin. Cotton yarn cone of cotton for dishcloths on hand as well as a blue granny sq. project.
To seam up dragonfly fabric.
New color of iris is opening up this week a lite yellow color fun to watch this progress.
Sat outside a while today & enjoyed the yard.
Mowed the front after dinner so it will not be as much to do tomorrow hopefully.
It is sunny today.

Yes! I must frequently remind myself to just do the next thing.step by step
Blessed - Thanks for the encouraging words to start today.
((((Nancy)))) Do you have a c19 home testing kit?
I've been up for several hours and have completed several of the daily routines. Today is trash day so that weekly task has been taken care of.
Then I fell down the rabbit hole chasing nutritional information to tweak the analysis of what I'm eating, and the 34 micronutrients being tracked. I was surprised to see that Dr Campbell is starting a similar program to learn about his personal nutrition, microbiome, blood sugar, and health. Interesting. The programs we are doing are not the same, but both are very similar and chasing the same outcome.
I set up and filled DH new medication containers for the month. I switched my meds to these containers a few days ago and am really liking it. So, I bought the containers to use on DH meds. I like everything about these containers. They have 31 days with extra one container. I use that extra container for Monday & Wednesday med that we take only on those days. I like that turning the daily container upside down after meds are taken for the day gives a visual cue. ANYway, they fit us and our needs.
Yesterday when i was walking the aisle in the big box store, I didn't buy a single thing. However, I saw something that I thought DH might like. I came home and did the research on brand/style/etc. I am going to call it his Father's Day gift but in reality, I would have bought it for him regardless. It is a portable evaporated air cooler for the shop. While I was researching the best brand and size for his needs, I was surprised at the price difference. I bought the exact same model from A-river for $80 less than the big box store. It should arrive tomorrow.
DD11 and I will leave at 11am for her afternoon 3d class. I still can't get over how awesome this class and vo-tech program are. IMHO, it is educational & life skill training that is underused. There are only 4 students in DD11 class. The cost of the week's class is minimum ($50). Enrollment in the class includes a daily free lunch and a T-shirt. The equipment and software they are using are first rate.

I'm still not feeling well. Either a cold or COVID, no fever, but runny nose, headache and sore throat. I slept off and on until close to 10 a.m. and the garbage truck had already come and gone. (Neighbors were on front porch with grandkids and let me know I was too late!) Anyway, it's raining here and I'm sure that contributes to my sleeping in.
I'll do another COVID test later today.
Baby steps today.

Re: Tuesday - are you getting stuck - are you looking at the mountain instead of the path
YEP! You're absolutely right, Blessed. I, too, have been looking at that mountain. So today I started with "one thing at a time". The top of the stand next to dh's recliner was really 'bugging' me. I put a 16"x16: decorated box that I really didn't like where it was -on top of his stand (once I cleaned everything off). I was able to put a lot in this box and it's all divided so he can easily find things (I think -but then we all know how a man looks).Yesterday I realized I had fallen into the trap of seeing the mountain of work - all of the work that would take me a couple weeks - as having to be done in one day. I was looking at the broad picture - the mountain - and not seeing the path right in front of me that was doable.
Put away the dishes that I washed last night -sure do miss that dishwasher at DD's.
Have to look at that medicine container, Lady M. Been wanting to do something different with our meds. I do have containers right now but it seems like they're too much sometimes.
Also have to look at that portable AC. Keep wondering about one similar for inside our RV -trying to decide if it would be cheaper than the 2 rooftop AC units.
Want to go grocery shopping this afternoon but right now it's raining and very windy. Also have 4 checks from my health insurance refunds to be deposited. Since the drive thru bank is right next to the grocery plaza I can combine the trips. Then I'll stop on the way back to pick up our mail. Try to combine as much driving as we can. Friday I'll drive dd's car to go pick her up at the airport in the A.M. She wants to stop at A ldi's on the way back (which I am sure is going to be a struggle since that whole road between the airport and there is under construction).
Tried a new pillow last night that came for DD. She has one in FL and had ordered this one as she wasn't sleeping well with the change. Told me to try it. I did notice that probably for the first time in forever, I didn't constantly move, fluff or reposition my pillow at all during the night. Told her to go ahead and order one for me (well actually I'll keep this one & the new one will be hers -comes Thursday). There's a 100-day trial anyway. She had mentioned the difference it had made with her neck and shoulders. Know my neck (and shoulders too) are both bothering me a lot. We shall see.
Thinking about calling S outhwest next week. I had cancelled my flight from Tampa on May 28th figuring I could rebook for this fall. Now when I try to do that it tells me the credit runs out July 7th. What?! We're talking $286 (one way) here. It's at least worth a try to see if I can get them to extend it. Can't believe I would just lose that much. We shall see. Hmmm....seems like I'm waiting to 'see' on more than one thing.
Feel better, Twins -hoping it's NOT covid. I'm probably not being as careful as I should be at this point. So, maybe, I will once again mask up when I go grocery shopping -since shopping seems to be a very easy place to pick up most any germ.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

What is the name of the pillow, Dee?
I have a “Nanopillow” ordered — I think that’s the name of it. I never got an email confirmation though, so I’m hoping it arrives.

We are having a quiet day here. I just wanted to say hello to everyone! The sun is shining, though I see some white fluffy clouds forming.
Dsis has been working at her desk, dbil is setting up his new phone and I have read my daily devotion, put some clothes away, etc. I suppose I should start thinking about my packing soon.
Twins', hope you feel better soon.
Cathy, hope you are doing better also.
