FABULOUS FRIDAY

Post by DeeClutter »

Seems fabulous to me today after a good night's sleep. I know I dreamt quite a bit through the night though (thinking of Blessed here). Realized one of my dreams was that I finally realized I was completely bald on the top of my head. Had to check this morning. Whew! Still have hair albeit it somewhat thin. Though I do believe my hair is finally thickening a bit -I seemed to shed a very lot in the months after my fall last December. Still feeling the effects of all that in my mouth (oh how I wish those teeth/gums would heal!) and in my wrist/hand. But it is what it is and I'll live with it.

Dh is outside puttering. He's actually taking dd's car to take in a load of cans/bottles later this morning. The guy who bought the recycling business from dh back in the early 90's is finally retiring and has stopped using his major business. He's kept one recycling store but dh is taking his things to his warehouse this morning. The most he can take is 5 big bags at a time now. He figured close to $70 today. We've actually prepared a screen for the back part of our deck (to hide it) so he can do his recycling there. Since the campground has been sold dcampowner (former but still in charge for a few years) can no longer do the recycling he did. Know he always had dh sorting cans/bottles for him toward his fireworks show each 4th of July -of course that hasn't been held now in 3 years. The plan was to do the show last Labor Day but Covid still prevailed. So, finally, the show is on in a couple of weeks. We're left wondering if he will do it in the future. It's the 25th year in 2022. People line up on the surrounding roads (it's a mile square) to watch every year. Do know that this winter they're putting in a new swimming pool along with a 'pool bar'. So they're extending our rec hall for that. Then they're taking down the store/office and another storage building plus one beautiful tree and building a new store/office. Things are a'changing. Our fear is it will become a 'resort' rather than just a family campground. We shall see won't we! Know dh and I aren't going anywhere for as long as we can stay here. Next step would be assisted living and we're hoping that won't be for several years if ever.

Harriet, what were you still doing up at 1am for goodness sake? Sunny, hope your trip back to your dson's today is uneventful. Know you will miss seeing your dsis every day. Life is full of adjustments isn't it!

Morning…

Dashing through because my morning is busy…

Mom made it through her half hip replacement … whatever that is… with no problems. She a tough old broad for 94 :D

Folding laundry and then will spent part of this hot, humid day out in my lanai spraying my pavers with a bleach mixture for the black mold that has showed up.

Want to vacuum part of my home today and then get some exercise in. I’m sort of on granny duty watch. My dil was sick yesterday but I was unavailable to help due to my mom and all the phone calls I had to make. My dil is feeling better today, but I told her not to hesitate if she needs anything, even if it’s a quick run to the grocery store….

FABULOUS FRIDAY

Post by CathyS »

I was able to "sleep in" kind of. I set a very late alarm, but I woke up before the alarm. Got dressed. Washed the one dirty pot that I could have done yesterday, made the bed and the house is ready for the cleaning lady.

We are having spaghetti and meat sauce tonight.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

LOL with you, RR!

Dh and I are going over to DD's in about 1/2 hour for breakfast. Taking our coffee and she bought a really good sounding coffee cake at a nearby bakery yesterday.

Took our cable box back yesterday as we're able to stream on our R O K U. FRUSTRATING! But not as frustrating as it was for the clerk. He found it impossible for us to return the box when he'd just done it for someone on Wednesday. Went through all sorts of gyrations but nothing. Talking with 'center' it was decided that it can no longer be done unless we bought A pple TV. So we ended up bringing it back home -he couldn't even accept it though we won't use it. He did end up 'giving us
3 years' of triple strength internet. Not that I've ever noticed our internet was slow at all. So we're still paying $10/month for the box but getting $20/month (free) for additional internet. Realized this morning we never took the cable box remote with us but guess it doesn't matter.

Off to accomplish something. Guess I'll get out my list for 'surface cleaning' and get some of that done. Oops, there's dd texting me. We can go whenever we're ready. OK then, that would be now probably. Have to check with dh.

FABULOUS FRIDAY

Post by blessedw2 »

d lady I have to say I laughed so so hard at the conversations with your d children!!!! So dog gone cute!

also thank you d harriet - you made me feel better. (you always do!) I was overwhelmed yesterday.

hello to everyone....
yesterday I struggled and it's from everyone me-(I tend to leave things out thinking I will get to the work I want to do), dh, dd older (still have stuff from dd younger to put away). (and animals) leaving things out (dogs chewing on things - pup chewing on things I mean - she got my checkbook this morning) and seeing all the work that needs to be done in the yard (unfortunately I keep thinking I have to do everything at once. ;) I HAVE TO CHANGE THIS ATTITUDE RIGHT NOW TO SOMETHING POSITIVE! 8-) 8-) 8-) PUTTING ON MY COOL GLASSES TO ADJUST MY DISPOSITION. :D

dh is feeling better today - he was very depressed yesterday by not being able to go to Kentucky.

I woke up to stuff still out. I know that my brain has something to do with it: I have a really low visual clutter threshold.
What's out. that I will do first so I can feel some peace.

I keep wanting to make a dinner and leave the non-perishable items out on the counter - 3 days and I haven't made the dinner.
things that need to be put away in the basement
things piled up to go upstairs and put away.
just a few crystal candlesticks that need to be washed, dried and put out.
one paint can to put cat litter so that I can toss it.
MAKE THE DINNER OR PUT IT AWAY
I am sure once these things are put away, the visual clutter that stresses me out, it will make me feel better.

The weather finally broke - I can be outside again

I am trying hard to get back to Daily and Weekly chores.

wishing you all great answers to all your questions- thanks for the beginning d dee.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

FABULOUS FRIDAY

Post by Twins' Mom »

Thank you Dee for starting us out! I've been out walking and it is hot already! (Same story, different day.) That got me nearly 4K steps. I am setting my alarm earlier but didn't get up until 7:30 this a.m. We may be getting strong storms later, and we're supposed to cool down a little for the weekend. I think tomorrow in the afternoon we'll see our friends who have the river house and go out on their boat, have dinner and hang out.

I should get some groceries today.

bw2, visual clutter stresses me out too.
