Sunday in our village PWYC
It's a quiet morning here in the village but our households are up and about. What's happening in your little corner of our village? There's painting, visiting, caretaking, yard work (or yard fun!) and more going on today.
Do tell!
Do tell!

Re: Sunday in our village PWYC
Expecting visits from 3 of the children today, plus some grands. So trying to get the household in order.
"Attended" an online service last evening. Don't know if we'll be able to be "present" for usual 11 service, but of course it's recorded.
HRH will be called into automobile knowledge-mode when dd23 arrives because she has some suspicions about her Ranger. If either of her brothers is here as well, I predict an outdoor confab for them.
That may be welcome for dd because she seldom feels comfortable coming in the house anyway after meeting so many new people all the time.
I spiffed the master bath this morning and have more to do for the kitchen. A load of sheets is tumbling.

Re: Sunday in our village PWYC
A good start to my day here. So, why do I feel like we are running behind? Hum...DD11 is in the shower, and we will be leaving in 12 minutes. She often chooses to walk instead of ride so she might do that.
The next 3 days are full so I'm glad I took a slower day yesterday. Today's schedule -
** 9:45 Small group. I'll check to make sure Heather shows up to take care of nursery.
** 10:45 Worship with church family. Before that starts I'll check to make sure Marissa, Fiona and Grace show up to take care of nursery.
** lunch. We might go out to eat since we need to drive to the city, but I REALLY hope that we don't.
** 1:30 - DD11 graduation program from her camp last week. Followed by snacks and finger foods.
** 6:00pm - All church volleyball tournament, potluck and socializing outside. I'm not playing volleyball but will be on the sidelines cheering for DS13, DD11 and friends. The church is providing fried chicken for the potluck with others bringing sides and desserts. I'm going to make a bowl of macaroni salad in my spare time this afternoon.
We are choosing to live life while ignoring the 109 temperatures and high covid spread. DBIL typically stays with DMIL on Sunday morning while DH attends church. DBRIL called this morning and said "I was at the lake this weekend and a friend tested positive so I can't do my 3 hours this week". DBiL doesn't help much in DMIL care and leaves 99% of the care up to DH and DSisIL. That is his choice, but it means others do his part.

Re: Sunday in our village PWYC
Covid's on the rise here too, Lady M. Doing my best to avoid it. Evidently we dodged that bullet after being with DGD's dh a little over week ago and he tested positive about 24 hours later. When I was sick 2 or 3 days ago I was a bit fearful but guess I'm ok. Today I feel like CARP! Slept very little last night. Overate yesterday for DDIL-R's birthday but then my blood sugar was only 71 this morning. Exercised very little yesterday as well. Go figure! Let's just say I have almost as many steps already when I got up as I had all day yesterday!
We didn't go to church this morning. I knew yesterday that dh was not going to be up to it and as the night and morning wore on I sure wasn't either. Church at our Lakeland one was cancelled today because of Covid. Both the pastor and music director have it. Music director never vaccinated, Pastor has had 3.
I never got to the dishes yesterday and do I have a stack this morning. Water's hot so I should get at them!

Relaxing morning here. We were due to be meeting ds at 10 so I can see his new townhouse. Dh set it up and I think ds and I may have both been relieved that ds cancelled.
I'm in kind of a wasteland where I know I need to do things but can't get to them, or focus, or something. Like the mosquito quote from the other day!
I've done some of a.m. routine. I need a shower next.

It would be nice to pack up some more things from DR so we have a little more room to move in there, and room to set things down too. Also nice to work on garage some.“I am rather like a mosquito in a nudist camp; I know what I want to do, but I don’t know where to begin.”

Re: Sunday in our village PWYC
Hope you can have a relaxing day, Twins.
Dcamp"owner" just called Dh. Seems a camper is stuck on one of the yellow pile-ons at the dumping station. Guess a tow truck has been called. Interesting.
Meant to mention that I just put a prayer request in J&C. Interesting that it's been all the way to 17 days this month before anything was posted there. Not sure if that's good or bad.

d twins - I am sure the things going on in the kitchen is making you feel that way because of the visual, of it all, is overwhelming your senses.
oh wonder what new adventure you can come up with for yourself that feeds your soul. Nothing big but something outside your usual routine. Praying this week brings you a spark of the new and fun to lift you past the current feeling!
hi d dee Oh I am so so sorry you feel awful - low blood sugar is hard. Hope you feel better!!!
hard to believe that covid is on the rise again - so frustrating.
cheering you on through your dishes!
hi d lady - I think if you could stay home you might not feel like you're running behind. you have a big day ahead and that may make you feel that way. I am singing to you "let it go.... let it go" walk out the door and let the worry of the house go behind you. just enjoy the day!!!
109 wow! praying for a cool breeze and a gentle rain to cool down your temps.
hello everyone!!!

Re: Sunday in our village PWYC
My neighbor asked me to water her outside plants but I think her husband turned off the outside water.
I ended up getting buckets of water (from our house) for each pot - thank goodness she only had 10 pots.
I am thinking I will bring them to my house as there is supposed to be dry and in the 90's.
I don't know what I will do re: her dying bushes. I wish I had a water tank lol
I haven't had heart flips in a long long time - I have had them since I was a kid. It tends to go in mini spaces of time - a couple days and then totally go away. Ekg picks it up when I have it. I will keep on eye on this.
feeling hungry even if I should not be: having strawberries

Re: Sunday in our village PWYC
So, dh is putting in a call to his GP at the moment. We'll see what he says. Our 'favorite paramedic' is quite sure that dh has internal bleeding. Here we go again. I really didn't want him waiting for another day and I certainly hesitate to give him his Xarelto tonight.
EDITING: We were afraid we'd have to make another trip to the hospital but Dr's advice for right now is: DO NOT TAKE XARELTO tonight and stop taking aspirin. Both of which makes me nervous. I know the dangers of stroke. He sees both his cardiologist (7:30am Tues) and his GP at 9:45am. Dr is sure he's bleeding in his stomach.
