Tuesday PWYC
I'll be running out the door in a minute but I wanted to throw open the doors and windows of the village for business today! I guess today is "out of the house" for me. I'm getting body work, then to the library, to temple and to vote, and then groceries and drugstore.
It's still hot and humid today but tempered slightly by clouds.

Re: Tuesday PWYC
Good morning -it's actually pretty cool here today too. It was only 52 out this morning & 65 in when I had to submit and turn on the heat for a while.
Been working on the computer for the last hour or so. Now it's time for meds, breakfast, s2s (no, I'm not there yet!), make bed, wash my hair and get on with my day. Think we're going into our hometown for dinner tonight. Know we're going away Thursday but dh decided he wanted to do dinner tonight besides. Need to make packing a priority today.
Dh heard from his Gastro Dr finally yesterday and I guess they're setting up an appointment for him to have his scan soon. Dr asked him how he 'knew' he had internal bleeding and Dh gave him all his symptoms.
Plus his doctors had agreed with all his tests that this was going on. So hoping for dh's sake that it's not Thursday.
Been spending a bunch of time on filling out dh's pocket calendars with all our dates. People are starting to make dates for him to do winterizations and he doesn't want to double book anything. Found I hated the calendar he has and I just spent some time on A-river ordering a different one that has the daily slots. This one only has the monthly calendars and definitely not enough room for more than 1 entry. Should be here tomorrow. Just dawned on me that I never entered the dates for the winterizing dates he has so far -just mostly medical appointments. Guess I better do that while I'm thinking of it. Then I'll just copy over when the new book arrives.

Re: Tuesday PWYC
Good morning!
Twins - thanks for opening today's door in SHE village
I woke up naturally before the alarm went off and immediately got started on routines. Most days they take me 2 hours to accomplish the basics. That sounds like a lot of time to me. I don't time the cards or routines. My goal isn't to get faster, but to be consistent in getting the basic daily cards accomplished.
DD11 bedroom project is officially completed. **big sigh of relief** DD11 told me several times yesterday that she hopes her room doesn't get away from her again. She wants to keep it clean. DD11 did 100% of decision where to return her wanted things in her room and organizing them. Her shelves, drawers, closet, desk, and chest of drawers are all well used. She asked for drawer dividers (!) and has everything just how she wants it.
Results of the cleanout - Three 50 gallon bags and 2 boxes filled with clothes & stuff to be given to our favorite charity. Two 50 gallon bag filled with trash & things not worth giving away.
A surprise to me......At the beginning of the bedroom cleanout, I got a 50 gallon black bag and DD11 put all her stuffed animals in it so they wouldn't get dirty during this project. I know these stuffies are very precious to her, so I wanted to make sure nothing happened to them. Guess what? The stuffies are still in that big bag which is currently stored in her closet. I am 100% sure she doesn't want to get rid of them, but I am starting to suspect she might be ready to not have them surrounding her all the time.
Today we start on DS13 bedroom cleanout. I would like to take a break before starting another big project, but we are 10 days away from school starting (Meet the Teacher). It seems unreal that we will soon be back in school mode.

Re: Tuesday PWYC
School 'mode' begins next week for dd, Lady M. Summer seems so short. She'll leave here around 3a.m. Thursday morning. This week she's spending Mon-Wed at "Welding summer camp" at our BOCES. DGS17 is helping with the class this week. He absolutely loves welding and I'm pretty certain that will be his life's career. No college for him for sure -he hates school.
I'm finally s2s, bed made and in the process of taking my meds. I've turned on the water heater for about 1/2 hour to get the water hot. How I wish these RV's had a 'point of contact' water heater. DD's thinking seriously of putting probably 3 in their house. Their water heater was there when they bought the house over 20 years ago and probably there a good 10 before that. Can't be terribly efficient at this point and it takes forever for us to get hot water to our bathroom from the garage.

Trash is dumped and at the curb.
Hat to change up my qt a bit.
Some journaling done not all.
I have put out seeds for garden flowers next year.
Pruned a bit more on the apple tree it was too dark to complete that task last evening.
Did some reading.

Re: Tuesday PWYC
blessed - we shared what information we had in J&C
CathyS - WOW! You did awesome gathering all that data and putting it into the format needed. BWTG!
I apologized in advance to DH this morning because I might be cranky here and there the next few days as I go through this course. After doing 3 days of baselining, today starts 7 days of Hunger Training. I signed myself up to do the class knowing this was part of it, but I can say the daily assignments are a PITA. The next 7 days is learning WHEN to eat. I've done Intermittent Fasting many times in the past, but Hunger Training doesn't depend on the clock or number of hours since I last ate. It is all about waiting until I reach a personalized BGlucose # before eating. I am in full on learning mode and genuinely enjoying challenging myself.....but I can't say I won't have some cranky moments as I get through it.
I went through 2 boxes of things that we moved to this house 7 years ago. They have been sitting on a shelf untouched since then. I put 95% of the items into the charity pile.

Re: Tuesday PWYC
Hello everybody. Blessed, I hope your Dr. had good things to say.
LadyM, I can't imagine how much stuff your DD must have had in her bedroom. Will DSon's be as much work? Is he still going to do all that carpentry work in there?
I don't know why my daily stuff today took this long, there just seemed to be a lot to do. I found my coffee cup swarming with those little ghost ants. AK! I haven't had them for months and months. Successfully got rid of them with my little ant baits all over the place. My cup wasn't 100% clean
it had had milk in it and some evidence of that at the bottom. Evidently those ants went after it. A lot of spraying / cleaning this morning and fresh bait there. Haven't seen any since. I will have to be more careful now.
2 LOL done, 2nd is in the dryer, 1st is hanging up. Yesterday's sheets still need folded up. I changed DH's bed yesterday.
There was a lot of desk chores. QT was sorta long too. Prayer to journal and my reading...I usually stop so that the next day I begin at the first chapter which starts at the beginning of the page. That way I don't get confused where to start. I just put a bookmark. I am reading through once again. But today one chapter I was reading was 4 whole pages! Interesting, but took a while.
I stopped for a rest and came here. Yesterday was busy too. DH and I went out together to make good use of the gas in the car. I mailed 2 birthday gifts at the post office, then he dropped me at the library while he went off to the recycle place and hardware store to return something. The BIG huge bag of crushed soda cans and some glass yielded $10.00! Hardly worth it, but he wants to do this. And this took at least a year to accumulate that much.
At the library I brought home 6 books I am excited to read. Plus on the "friends" shelf I found one that I'd been wanting to read but couldn't find and bought it for $.25. Thrilled to find that one. I had checked the library catalog and they didn't carry that one or I'd have read it a long time ago.
Cathy, that is a huge accomplishment! Good for you. Reminding me I need to check spreadsheets, they're probably behind.
