Re: Make your Thursday PWYC
Thanks for starting us off, Twins!
I am trying once again to get myself kick-started. Yesterday I got sucked into watching DC play the video game they got from DD for their birthday. I can't let that happen again. I will clean up breakfast then go upstairs to clean my CPAP, which I forgot to do before I came downstairs, and tidy the bathroom. Then I will either start a load of wash or read some of the next section of payroll.
I can't think of a "TH" that applies... maybe "third time's the charm"?

Re: Make your Thursday PWYC
I'm trying to get ready to leave here by noon/12:30. Think my perm appointment isn't until 1:30 but will try to be there by 1.
Dh went down to work this morning. However he was just opening the giant overhead door just as his boss came in. Dh was completely out of breath just doing that. His boss noticed and they decided between the 2 of them that he's not working today. He really hasn't been feeling well the last several days. I'm really hesitant about going away today. At least it's only a little over 1/2 hour away and there is a hospital there. (Dreaded thought). I've been thinking about his Metoprolol that his GP doubled when he was there the 19th. I looked it up and his cardiologist lowered it from 25mg a day to 12.5mg last October. Seems he was having quite a few of the same symptoms. I will let him continue the 25 until Tuesday when he sees his GP again. Going to ask if he can try the 12.5 again for a bit. His cardiologist gets really bent out of shape when the GP's office prescribes something different that's heart related and I get that. I may just arbitrarily (again) put him back on the 12.5 and not tell the GP.
He doesn't see his cardiologist until August 30th. A whole month+ away. I hate this messing with his meds.
Think I'm about packed. Just finished doing up the dishes. Was tempted to leave them but glad they're done. And I still have plenty of time.
DD texted us about 7:30 and she was at the PA welcome center. I think she's going the western route -down 77 through Charlotte. She made reservations in Walterboro, SC for tonight & she'll go the rest of the way tomorrow.
DS-R returned from FL yesterday. Suggested that dh and I might think about staying with Dbil now and then this winter. Not sure I want to do that. Dbil is very hard for me to be around very long. True we don't have cigarette smoke to contend with any more. Dbil has asked DD to see if Dsonil would take one of his sister-in-law's dds to the Tampa airport later. She took an Uber from Tampa to Lakeland about 40-45 miles & it cost her $135. We're all hoping that these 2 daughters will decide their Mom has to go home with one of them. Her home is in front of dbil's house and getting run down. Plus she needs care herself and certainly dbil can no longer do it.

Re: Make your Thursday PWYC
Thinking of Dee & DH on their 64th Anniversary adventure today.
Thankful for a good night's sleep and waking up ready to get started on the day.
My eating window is being shifted to earlier in the day. Day #3 of Hunger Training shows that my BGlucose is in eating range around 9am. When i was doing IF by the clock my eating window was Noon to 8pm. Yesterday I ate my final meal at 4pm and was not hungry the rest of the night. I even attended a Birthday party last night with cake & punch, but I wasn't the slightest bit interested in eating anything. It wasn't that I ignored the treats, but I just honestly didn't want any of it. I was taking care of 3 one year olds so I was busy feeding them bites of cake while chatting with DFriends.
I made a 6 egg omelet this morning with ham and loads of vegetables. I ate 1/3 of it, DH ate until he was full and there was a small amount leftover.
Todays plans include -
** Get the platepay bogus charge taken care of.
** Take DD11 to the farm to spend time playing, loving on and caring for baby animals. This is so good for her physically, mentally, and emotionally.
** Quick trip to the city. Get SWilliams paint and my c19 booster. I was going to get everyone booster at the same time, but I want to make sure there is an adult available that isn't having a reaction. Worst case scenario - I can go to bed for a couple of days if needed and DH can take care of kids & furkids. DH will get his booster on Saturday.
** After booster shot then switch into sitting mode. There are hours of effort needed on the 1st semester of homeschool daily lesson plans. English 1, Algebra, Oklahoma History, Spanish 1, Earth Science, and Computer Technology are all in process of being planned and assignments added to DS13 daily calendar.
** Meals for family - Jambalaya Rice with hamburger meat. There are several leftovers available.
** Nutritional Dense meals for me - BGS with multiple vegetables & roasted chicken. Tilapia fish on bed of cauliflower rice, sauteed zucchini with white cheese.

Re: Make your Thursday PWYC
(Dee). You have a lot of worry.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO YOU BOTH!
LadyM, I was thinking, maybe we should all have number limits on our stuff. No more than so many tops to wear, socks in the drawer, pens and pencils, you-name-it! I could do this with a lot of my things. Not wheels or journals...but don't we all have things that we collect!
I noticed when I was in the book store the other day they have half a wall of the most beautiful journals, calendars, appointment books. I looked at them all and had to force myself to walk away. I do not need any more of them.
I went outside and enjoyed looking at all the work I did yesterday outside. I will do those light fixtures today, they are gross. How wasps and bugs get up inside the closed glass squares, I have no clue. But they do, and they either leave nests or they die up there. Ugg.
So, I have a list omm of things I want to do today. Lets see how far I get.

Re: Make your Thursday PWYC
dd older woke me at 4:30 am and was in a lot of pain - she had that all afternoon - I went back to sleep and slept to 9
dog tried hard to get me going.
I made a list, on post it's under:
1. What I want to do, what I think I should do, and what I think I can do - I listed everything that I think I should do: way way too much
2. What I think I can actually do: I only put two things on that.
3. what I did
There is no way I can keep up the work schedule that I want to do or think I should do. It's not possible for me. I have to stop thinking that other women can do it all. My goal is maintenance not what I am doing now. No wonder I feel stress lately. (My expectations are way above my abilities) Those days of working 5 am to 10 pm is no longer something I can do.
Starting late: 10:47 am. Saying a prayer to give myself grace and patience.
my your day be blessed!!!

Re: Make your Thursday PWYC
I am the same way Harmony. I'm using the ring type notebook that you can add pages to and take them out but I still love the accessory pages for it. And journals...I looked at them all and had to force myself to walk away. I do not need any more of them.
The people to measure the countertops have come and gone. I stayed downstairs while he was here. Trouble focusing here, the project manager came by earlier, too. Jerome and Joshua today putting cabinets together downstairs and installing some of the uppers.
I'm stuck on a citation. I know that's why I'm procrastinating because I'm not sure what to do with it. Currently checking another book on citations.
I had to reboot my computer. I sudden got a bunch of pop ups about a virus and needing to call Microsoft. I immediately shut it down and when I started it back up was fine.

Re: Make your Thursday PWYC
I am not doing well with getting DD11 moving toward waking up earlier. She would sleep until noon if she could. I didn't have a schedule for her sleep during summer but now she needs to be switching to her school schedule. In less than 2 weeks she will need to be ready for school by 7:30am. I had to wake DD11 up twice this morning because she turned over and went back to sleep. I'm currently waiting for DD11 to get out of the shower....it will be close to noon before she is dressed and ready for the day. That is a 5 hour difference that needs to happen in the next 2 weeks! Eeek! This effort needs more attention from me.
Meal thoughts...
** The Jambalaya rice/hamburger mixture was spicier than I expected. I added a can of beans to it and that helped tone the spiciness down.
** I changed my mind and switched from cauliflower to asparagus for my later meal today.
** Salad ingredients are available and ready to assemble.
** I'm done cooking for the day.
I find myself getting excited about Twins kitchen renovation starting to come together.
