Clean your Floor Wednesday PWYC
Would you believe that today is National Clean your Floors Day? or would you prefer National Watermelon Day?

Re: Clean your Floor Wednesday PWYC
My dcleaning lady will be here tomorrow so I'm deferring to her to clean my floors. What a mess I have going here! Workers already here and I'm wanting to flee upstairs but need to (should) do some things first. Maybe I'll try for three at a time to get through a.m. routine and a little more.
-take out recycling to street
-make the bed
-clean up dishes in powder room sink, wipe table in DR that we use for prep
And done. Took longer than it needed to because I spilled coffee in the DR while getting a refill.
I think I need a fresh plastic table cover for the buffet side table that we're using for coffee, microwave and toaster oven. And then I got distracted looking online for a vinyl (not disposable) table cover that would work on the buffet. What I'm using is disposable doubled up.
Next round:
-fold laundry (two loads?) and start a load
-quick shower
-straighten MBR and bath
-take out recycling to street
-make the bed
-clean up dishes in powder room sink, wipe table in DR that we use for prep
And done. Took longer than it needed to because I spilled coffee in the DR while getting a refill.

Re: Clean your Floor Wednesday PWYC
Trying to get myself moving this morning. Spent a lot of time during the night thinking about dh's condition and what's in the future. Know he talked to DS-R for quite a while last night and said DS is very concerned about him. Can't seem to get my head together this morning. Maybe I'll start off with some exercise and perhaps that'll help clear my head.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
NO floor cleaning here today though they all need it.

Re: Clean your Floor Wednesday PWYC
Good morning!
LucyLee - I would love for you to be DS13 English teacher IRL! English is my worst subject and the one that I struggle with the most in homeschooling DS13. There is NO WAY I would attempt it without using lesson plans that are clearly defined with others teaching (video). I do a combination of curriculums and tweak them for DS13. Here is aquick Romeo & Juliet quiz.
Twins - thanks for the start.
I'm struggling because of DS13 taking up so much of my time. I can't get my things done because of his needs while his boss is on vacation. DS13 not being old enough to drive is a major factor. Typically, DS13 boss takes him to worksites, or he drives tractor or backhoe. However, those aren't available. The tractor broke (hydraulic fluid leak). The roofing crew is using the backhoe. That leaves DS13 driving his boss one-ton truck or his own pickup around town on dozens of trips by himself. My response is absolutely NO. So.....I am riding with DS13 as he is going from one worksite to another. On the positive side - I am enjoying seeing exactly what DS13 does. Instead of sitting in the hot pickup, I went with him into a dozen homes/worksites yesterday as he took care of a slew of details. Instead of being frustrated because I'm not accomplishing what I have on my to-do list, I'm going to choose to enjoy this unique time with DS13. His boss returns Friday so it is only for 2 more days.

Re: Clean your Floor Wednesday PWYC
Good morning ladies yes cleaning floor is on my bujo list ...
but first I am decluttering some areas shifting around planners out of living room bookcase
and replacing them with books from the spare room. Kids and grands are not using that room and desk is available with a shelf on it.
So I am taking advantage of it.
Dining room zone work is 98% done. Yea for that progress!
Journal brain dump really helped me with my perspective today!
P & P said it first for me I think that you cannot clean around clutter.
Or words to that effect.
One thing I have been doing is setting a place for me using my pretty dishes Pioneer Woman ones that I love.
I try to eat at the table at least one meal a day.
This helps me to remember to pray before I eat.
Waving to all I really enjoy reading your posts!

Re: Clean your Floor Wednesday PWYC
I do understand, LadyM. I was looking back at my google calendar several years ago and had added getting ds to work and then picking him up a couple of summers. Oy, all summer long!
Two calls from contractor, his project manager is off this week. And another call I need to return re: cemetery.
I'm heading upstairs away from the talk....

Home from first trip with Ds13. He (we) went to ...
** house #1 to care for blind poodle that is kept inside (water, food, taken outside to potty, pet/cuddle and talk with dog).
** House #2 to care for outside flowers and water new grass around pond
** House #3 to care for Australia shepherd dog kept inside (give water, food, taken outside to potty and play ball with dog) and water flower gardens.
** House #4 to take 3 buckets of dirt and spread it in a hole in their back yard.
I'm back home while DS13 is on the zero-turn mower to mow the funeral home, the bank, the apartments, and a couple rent homes.
The nurse just called and is on her way to DMIL home, so DH just left to meet her.
DD11 is taking a shower and washing her hair.
My BGlucose just hit 102 so I can eat.

Re: Clean your Floor Wednesday PWYC
My stress level that I felt for weeks, (maybe a month), has now gone away - I don't know what I did but I am no longer freaking out (for now
) about all the stuff I have to do.Everything looked so big!
I think my focusing on working on one area at a time and trying to keep up with most of my routines each day and week has been paying off. having the basement emptied really helped me. I still think it must have been a huge ADHD/anxiety issue biologically. It was a rough one and I am glad for now to have relief.
dd older told me that she thinks her goal from now on is to stay as a minimalist as having big visual clutter makes her anxious.
I just know that clutter has a tendency to build when we aren't looking
I don't know if anyone saw the movie where Harry Potter enters one of the vault where all the things doubled - tripled etc. every time someone touched the item to the point where it was burying them alive. To me that is what clutter is.
I noticed my newer peonies I planted had wilted. I thought the rain would have kept it alive. I am watering that area even though we are supposed to have rain this afternoon. My potted plants have been needed more and more water than usual.
hi d lady - such a sweet dog!
how empowered your ds must feel to be depended on like this. It is really hard to stop and start the day when it comes to driving d kids around. I love your thinking - it is a nice opportunity to have this time with him. I am sure he is proud to show you.
praying for your d mil - does she have a camera inside her home so that you can see how she is doing. it was wonderful for all of us.
yes it would be lovely to have our d Lucy as your children's teacher - I would love to have her!!
hi d twins waving at you!
hi d Nancy - yay on getting so much done in the dining room and other places
hi d dee I am praying for both of you! it's so hard worrying. take your baby steps into your day. much love to you.
May all of you be blessed today!

Re: Clean your Floor Wednesday PWYC
dh has a tendency to want things done when he thinks of them (he tends to super focus on things that really don't need focusing on right this minute - but it is important to him
). He wanted to call this one company to put our outside doors on again - I have that planned putting the doors up at the end of August or beginning of September with my brother. The company he wants to call would charge us more than one thousand dollars for a simple job. They wanted to charge us almost 5k for caulking our windows. He said he doesn't care and he wants it done now. I know it's because he is worried about being cold in winter.
I told him that because I care for him that he knows that I will get it done.
I also told him that I couldn't make my brother do it last time he was here bc he was fixing our piping. Hoping that satisfies him for awhile.
I have my brother coming back to help me fix the wood on the outside of the house.
