Re: Clean your Floor Wednesday PWYC
Dh and I went fishing this morning. Put it this way... we aren't having fish for supper tonight. On my way to the grocery store but I thought I would pop in and say hello.

Re: Clean your Floor Wednesday PWYC
Hello. Thank you for suggestions about keeping passwords. I've seen those little log books a couple places. It seems that we are always changing passwords for one reason or another, so I wonder if they would work. The little 3x5 file box, I've thought about that also. Wonder if one or two of those would be terribly in the way here at the desk? DH is still using the big swivel-around old-school card file. I could put a tab after the a-z and put his passwords there. Only problem with that is those little cards that snap into the frame are unavailable now. We have used up just about all the rolodex cards that fit in there. I've even taken old ones and whited out old info and used it for new. I know they're old school but so helpful. For instance, DH can look up tires under T and find phone numbers for all the places he calls for prices. Remember, he has no smart phone.
I guess I will just have to think about this a bit more. I could trace around and cut out more cards...I wonder if I could get the 2 slits cut out properly...hmmmm
I'm not getting lots done, but some things. I've cleaned up the office and there are some clear spaces now. Looking lots better. 2 projects to do back here still need done.
I guess I should start with that now. At least I'm keeping up dailies.
Cathy, what kind of fish are you catching?

Taking a mental break. Raising a teenager can be a challenge on the best of days.
I mentored DD11 how to use the combination of broom & leaf blower to clear dirt/leaves from door mats and porch/walkway. She was proud of her efforts.
I delegated weedeating around the edge of driveway & walkways to DS13. Note to self...you should have had DS13 weedeat before DD11 did her effort to clear the area. Ohs well.
I have caught up on my DFF class. Hunger training week is over and I feel like it was well worth the time & effort I put into it. This week is using the chart showing time of our past BGlucose readings to help establish a time for Main Meal of the day. It depends on individual lifestyle & schedule so everyone will be different. Establishing consistent circadian rhythm of meals, sleep, activity, and sun exposure is helpful. It will never be followed exactly but the goal is to have a general plan. They suggest eating the Main Meal during daylight hours with lunchtime as preferred if you don't have an evening family meal. They do not suggest OMAD because it is difficult to get all the nutrition needed in a single meal. They lean toward a Main Meal and smaller meal if needed for BGlucose.
DH came home from DMIL's to take DS13 to look at a couple used dirt bikes for sale. DS13 counted his money (savings) before they left and is hoping to upgrade from his current 100cc bike. He has verbally sold his dirt bike for $850 which is more than he paid for it.
I prepared a BGS with diced chicken for lunch. I have diced potatoes roasting in the air fryer now for the family.

I moved 14 piles! Not really but might be moved 7 piles maybe most of them twice bc I was
switching things around.
Half of the creativity room is done in no order and you cannot really tell but I did sort some thing in there.

Note to self....covid funds that paid for everyone school meals that last 2 years are no more. I need to add a routine monthly card to pay for DD11 meals at the first of every month. I will be around $80 a month for D11 to eat at school so not too bad considering the awesome cooks.
I started to work on DS13 bedroom but immediately ran into a roadblock. I had the tape and paper supplies together in one spot. They are no longer there. I am waiting for DS13 to arrive home and show me where he moved them.

Oh, I see Cathy didn't catch any fish. Bummer!
I am working in the office. I have one project just about all sorted and filed properly.
Started in the closet. Didn't mean to start that, but was looking at just one spot. You know how that goes. Right next to it needs decluttered, then the next shelf, and I need a binder but they're all over the place...I think I need to empty most of that closet and redo it. Hopefully get rid of some stuff.
Stopped to prep dinner. Have dinner simmering lightly. Potatoes peeled for whipping when the meat etc. is done.

Harmony we were willing to take whatever type of fish we could catch, but we don't seem to have any luck in this spot. Our other spot was at the bottom of a steep hill and neither one of us is willing to o that spot any more. We used to catch catfish there. Dh had a heck of a time with a very slight dip in the landscape today. He also ha one heck of a time getting up out of his chair. He has also been having that issue at home no matter where he is seated.

Re: Clean your Floor Wednesday PWYC
I like Watermelon Day, definitely. I have already accomplished that one!
Question: Am I the only one who noticed the connection between "Watermelon Day" and "Clean Your Floors Day"? To me, it is obvious.
I had a quick visit from DangerBoy today. His dmother's van drove up and it is very generic, so I wasn't sure who. Glad to see it was he and no one selling anything. He is reacting like I do when he encounters a lot of traffic at the mailbox. I have done the same thing more than once - gone to his house to wait until there is breathing room, especially from walkers/dogs/strollers and conversing neighbors I don't want to disturb. He was trying to pick up all our overturned trash cans (usual Wed. upset by the big truck) and at the same time, not disturb our mail carrier, who was spending time there today organizing packages. He said, "I don't want to bother anyone." Yep, he gets that from me.
I brought him in and was able to give him 4 tomatoes. That makes me feel virtuous today. That will probably not even make enough sandwiches for one each for those boys, though. He says if it's not, he'll eat another kind of sandwich.
To have been a real rounder of a toddler-to-4-year-old, he is the sweetest heart now. Well, toward me. He is a tough big brother sometimes.
