What are you looking forward to on Sunday PWYC
Do you have a vacation planned?
A holiday happening?
A project you want to do?
A family gathering?
A shopping trip?
A good book?
What brings you joy when you think about a future event?
This morning I saw that we only have 3 more triple digit days and then our temperatures will drop into the 90's. I am definitely looking forward to that happening!
>>>edit<<<
I created the daily journal pages for the next week. I noticed it is Daddy's birthday on Friday, so I sent an invite to DBro and DSis about meeting for lunch on that day. Hopefully, we can share some good memories and stories about our Dad.

Re: What are you looking forward to on Sunday PWYC
I am up at 5 today is was not really lite outside. Had a charlie horse leg cramp in the nite. I drank water.
I have been limbering up and picked up some twigs out front looking forward to getting back in better shape.
We have one or two more days of nice weather then very hot temps are back at the end of the week so I am not looking forward to those.
I have some sewing will be looking forward to that.
Fall temps. are something I am looking forward to.
Getting a new office chair... there is a story there I took the arms off the one I had bc they would not fit under any of the desks or table
here. The back came off too!
So now i have a nice stool on rollers I like stools. I did keep the parts. But it was not working for me
before. Hoping I can find one that is assembled.

Re: What are you looking forward to on Sunday PWYC
We're going to the river to friends house there. Taking brunch eggs et al and fruit for omelets and mimosas. I'm hoping we can get back home at a reasonable time today. She has a 3 p.m. meeting elsewhere this afternoon.
Dinner out with other friends was enjoyable. Too much food. Although we were on the patio of the restaurant, it was roofed and the noise level was very high. Stopped off for another glass of wine at their house on the way home - I did not intent to have one but dh had poured for me without asking.
I'm feeling tired today. I've done some clean up here at home - did a load of laundry to hang to dry, folded a load from last week, cleaned up out dirty dishes in the powder room sink. I think they're invisible because dh never does them.

I must say that I'm really looking forward to some good answers from the medical field and dh getting better. Today is definitely not that day. I will be calling his cardiologist's office first thing tomorrow and hoping (praying) that he can get in soon to see this Dr. Supposed to call his GP's office but I'm thinking since it was cardiology that first put him on Xarel to that this is who I should call. I just saw a mug on FB and that immediately had me crying. Trying hard not to.

I went and did the grocery shopping in Niagara Falls by myself this morning. Dh had 2 customers this morning while I was gone. I also stopped and bought 4 lights for the kitchen because 2 had burned out.
All laundry is clean and put away. I did a load of dishes in the dishwasher last night. I need to empty the dishwasher at some point this afternoon.
Left over spaghetti and meat sauce for supper tonight.

Re: What are you looking forward to on Sunday PWYC
Saw this quote this morning and thought it could be meaningful to someone:
Got my hair cut this morning. Dh slept the whole time I was gone (about 45 minutes or so). Says he feels like he's "walking on air" again and that could be either the internal bleeding and/or the Afib. Have to admit I had been having a difficult time 'holding it together' this morning.
I'm leaving shortly to go pick up a few things to put together an orange dreamsicle salad for a get-together this afternoon. Dfriend had his company picnic/clambake yesterday. He was owner of this company and has 'retired'. They said they ordered 1/2 of what they've had in other years and there were no clams left over. About 4:30 he called dh to say that the other owner called to say, "I'll meet you at 490 with 41 dozen clams that we found & didn't know we had." So we're having a clambake. Meantime dh is resting, resting, resting.
Dneighbor came over to 'help' dh do 2 things this morning. One was to replace our flag on our flagpole at the top of the berm. Ours had caught and the bottom stripe is torn. So he'd gotten the 'new' flag out of our deck bin. When dfriend opened it -uhoh- it was the former old flag. So ordered a new one this morning. Then #2 she took down the rest of the ceiling fan for dh. When she put the new remote up there 2nd uhoh, won't fit. So she said, "Well, that's two things I haven't been able to help you do today."
Need to make out shopping list and get to that so I can get back here and put this salad together so it can chill through the afternoon.
It actually is for me.Knowing is not enough; we must apply. Willing is not enough; we must do.

Re: What are you looking forward to on Sunday PWYC
Good afternoon!
I’m looking forward to visiting my Mom shortly. I got there later than I usually do last week, and she was pretty much asleep during our visit. This week, I’m going to aim for a little earlier than usual, so I’m back in time for the beginning of the Zoom call with DH’s family.
Not sure what we’ll do after.
Hoping things go well with Dee’s DH.

Re: What are you looking forward to on Sunday PWYC
Lunch was Grilled Cheese sandwiches with Tomato Soup. This meal was requested by DS14.
Church wasn't our favorite today. We had a missionary from Thailand speak for both services plus Sunday School. We stayed for one hour of his speaking and was ready to leave. It was low attendance today with half of the normal attendance. I don't know if it was because of the missionary speaking or covid. Last week our Senior pastor had covid. This week our Lead Pastor, 2 deacons and a couple friends have covid. Everyone has a mild case with the most challenging part being to isolate for 5 days.
If the low attendance is from covid then the start of school is going to be interesting. DH and I agree with our amount of preparedness so now we just wait and see what happens.
I have declared next Sunday (August 21) at 5pm to be the deadline to finish DS14 bedroom project. Hopefully having a hard deadline will keep us moving forward on this project this week. We shook hands in agreement. DS14 has a lot of sorting of STUFF to do. I have a lot of painting to accomplish. Yesterday while I was at the summer bash, DH and DS14 managed to hang the TV in his bedroom. The wall mount didn't fit the TV that was planned for his bedroom so they switched and took the TV from the living room because it would fit the wall mount. IMHO that 65" TV is too big for the size of his bedroom and purpose. However, no one uses the living room TV and it almost never gets turned on, so I guess being used is better than just sitting there.

Re: What are you looking forward to on Sunday PWYC
I have been having trouble signing in today. It's okay bc I am here now!!!
I finished all the weeding in the outside garden! I am watering even though it is drizzling on and off. The soil is so dry.
Our area has had such odd weather lately - it feels like late September. I am sure it will get super hot again but it is nice to have a reprieve. my pumpkins are turning orange already (as I had mentioned before).
I am going to go outside and finish what I can in the inside garden.
My goal is to work on the 3 season room and family room this week.
dh is not happy with the house; I can tell. He has done dishes and picked up some things from the dogs
