dh is not happy with the house; I can tell.

I must say I'm not happy with ours either. Especially when dh said that when he went inside our dneighbors place to watch the pre-season Buffalo Bills game, "It looks like house beautiful". And gracious neighbor said, "Well we only are here once in a while and YOU live in yours full time." Seems like I'm cleaning non-stop. It doesn't really necessarily looked 'lived in', but we have stuff that has to be out in order to be in use. And we even have a good amount of kitchen storage space, but hard to get at sometimes. I need to figure out better ways -this after living in it for this is the 12th season. Not very happy with my organizational skills right now.

Just sent a prayer request for dh off to our church up here. After service as secretary there for nearly 30 years, I still am finding it difficult to figure out how to send a prayer request. So, hopefully it'll reach the pastor and get put on.

Have to go do the next step of my orange creamsicle salad. >>>>>so now it's in the fridge chilling for another 20 minutes. Then to add the rest of the ingredients & hope it's thoroughly chilled by 5:30 or so.

CI... in no particular order. . .
I went to church got to see my son at the store on the way home he was grabbing some electrolyte water stuff on his break.
I got things for a few days here.
The bed has clean sheets on it, bathed the dog, load #2 is going now.

Made a do over cheese cake pie / with a lg pk of sug free orange jello that should have been a small one for dream cycle flavor.
nope going to have to toss it. I did find a cherry flavor mix so hoping I or someone will make that for me for my bday.

I did some stretching exercise.

Dog's towels are drying on the deck.
I mopped the bathroom cleaned tub out too.
Ddog is resting inside not interested in going outside to dry off the rest of the way.
I have a plan for dinner.
Laundry is done except dog towels I hung on the line in the basement.Yea!

I had thought of not going to church this morning but my DFriend called and said if I wanted, she'd bring some avocados from her tree. So, ok, I didn't fuss too much over clothes or hair, etc. and I did go. Glad I did, it was just what I needed to hear. Very moving song that really touched me.

Stopped on the way home in a couple stores, still looking for a set of sheets. Finally settled on a set I found, hoping it fits ok and is as nice as I think. I don't really care for the ones on the bed right now. Happy to have these. Walked to the car in a rainstorm. Got tired of waiting.

Had a nap later on. Then I got those pineapples cut up and all the hard stuff from that in the garbage as I gathered it up for pickup. Cooked a nice dinner and cleaned that up. Dishwasher is running. Changed the sheets in the master and those others are washing. So today was a success and I feel more able to cope around here.

Ballots are done and DH and I will go vote tomorrow, early voting. It's in the county library. Maybe I'll bring home a book or two since I finished the last chapter this morning before church and I dropped off my last 2 books in the bin on the way home.

Cleaned up a mess in the laundry room. I was getting the soap bin down off the shelf for those sheets and it slipped out of my hand (had just put cream on so they were slippery) so I had to clean up the powder soap.

So, I feel like I have a good start for the week ahead. It's about time.

Harmony, you are reading an interesting book. Pineapples are a lot of work - well, more messy than work, but it does take some serious cutting.

lucylee, I remember Dark Shadows tv program - yes, the moon was a constant visual for that.

"Attended" virtually both the prayer service last evening (no trolls this time!) and morning worship today.

Picked up grocery order.

Ds got here right after arriving home from their trip this afternoon and mowed our lawn. He had been trying to mow for so long. We enjoyed his brief visit inside.

Dd23 called. She has survived her move from the apt to the boarder situation in her friend R's and mother's house. Dstepson helped with the move-in and gives a thumbs-up to the place. I asked how things were. She says "it's a house, a real house. There's a dog." It's closer to the Gallery and cheaper than the apt had been. Her bedroom is no bigger than her old one, but the space in every other room is larger, with private yard, no more two flights of stairs to her door. The mother is much happier that her daughter found someone she already knew rather than going through a real estate renting company.

A thought-provoking topic question today. I'll have to think about that!

I was looking forward to hearing 3 generations of my men singing together in church this morning. Ddil played the bass, ds played the guitar and he, dh, and dgs sang.
They did not disappoint, of course, so that was a proud mama-moment.

I did NOT look forward to having a dead battery (at home, thank goodness!)
Nor being told by AAA that they would only install batteries purchased from them,
Nor finding out after the tech arrived that no, they don’t provide batteries except in major cities,
Nor rushing to the Auto Zone store in Next Town with only 8 minutes to spare before they closed. (Ours had closed 1 hour earlier, after AAA gave bad info.)
BUT— I am VERY thankful for the tech who stayed late to install the battery and would only accept $20 for his trouble.
What. A. Night.

Tomorrow is another busy day.
#1 on the list: dental check-up. Ugh. Not my favorite thing.

Thinking of all of you tonight, but especially Dee and Mr. Dee.
