Blessed, I was frustrated because DH brought in a very old used plant stand and put it in the family room. Our pickup for garbage in this area is Monday mornings and in the weekends people put out old stuff they are decluttering. Sometimes - too often - DH brings stuff home.
Harriet, you are having a similar day to me. Too bad. Glad you got home safely. No, I thought of the plant stand, but there's nowhere to put it outside. Porch is too crowded as it is and every other spot would get rained on.
So we got the mattress back on the bed together, DH and I. My arms are sore, I can feel those muscles. But the dust ruffle turned out to fit and look nice on the bed and the new sheets are fine and look crisp and clean and very white. While we were in there (I did it all except lift the mattress back on) I showed DH the baseboard which is slightly out from the wall. He suggested calk but we agree it needs a couple nails to secure it better, must have gotten missed during construction. Ok, he said he'd do it. I said whenever he didn't need to do it now, but he said while he had the tool truck here it's a good time.
Does he bring in a hammer and a couple nails? NO he brings in the air compressor, the air hose, and nail guns, all very loud hurt-your-ears stuff. Compressor dripped oil in the hallway (thank goodness no carpet here) and the nail gun wouldn't work and he tried 2nd nail gun, didn't work either. Test it out in garage, 2nd try and finally got it working. Took out the nails that were sticking out of the trim.... calk.... roll up air hose, put away.... me cleaning up oil spills with mineral spirits, then mop and soap water then rinse all the while watching him to not walk in area.... and then more calk...
I will have to paint that section of board. Easiest part of this project for sure.
I'm a bit frustrated all over again.
