Checking In....
I slept well hard enough to dream but I do not remember it was up at 4 bs was kinda low took care of that and stayed up.
Made pizza dough, cooking one and had it ready for after church. Did it in the morning while it was cool. Cleaned up the kitchen.
Walked & s2s happened.

I made it to church with a new Hawaiian print shirt I had not worn yet so was glad to have it today to wear!
Felt SO much better than last week that made my day. Took the pens that were not the ones I wanted and too small unders for a teacher elders wife today is a teacher at one of the schools can use that type stuff. [Jr. Hi. aged girls especially.] Pens with black ink would be a hot commodity I would think as well. Had a spare bag said she could keep it and she was delighted!

Working on some paper crafting now getting papers ready for my journal jar for my personal writing retreat later in the week / month.

More dishes after lunch.
I rested and watered this evening in the front yd.

Nancy - BWTG! You get so much accomplish.

I asked the kids to give me 2 hours to relax. DD11 has no problem doing this but it seems to be beyond DS14 ability.
ANYway, I had a couple of hours with only a half dozen time of DS14 coming to me asking questions, so I'll take it and be happy.

It is Sunday at 5pm which has been my traditional time for many years to put the weekend mode away and gear up for the upcoming week. Looking at the big rocks for this week.
** 5 days of public school. 4 days are IRL and 1 is virtual. Prep = snacks for Wednesday.
** 4 days of homeschool. 7 subjects = 28 assignments that are planned in detail. No prep needed.
** 5 activities at church.
** 2 hair appts. DS14 is getting another perm (!) and take DMIL to her weekly appt.
** 1 medical appt = DD11 with counselor/therapist.
** Vote on Tuesday. Prep needed - I have printed sample ballot and marked the ones I am sure. However Iam unsure who to vote for on 2 offices.
** Project = Hand Pies
** Meals this week =
Pinto Beans & Ham
Spaghetti & Meat Sauce
Subway or Sonic
Taco Bowls
Meatball Sliders
Rasty's BBQ
Tamales, refried beans, Spanish rice
Chicken & Noodles
Stay curious. Challenge assumptions. Success loves persistence.

LadyM it was always 6 pm for us. TV goes off, video games put away, start evening routines!

Program at temple was entertaining. It was the play “Becoming Dr. Ruth.” Enjoyable, it was sponsored by a local family that is related to the Atlanta actress and raised some funding for a kindertransport chapel that the temple is doing. (Dr Ruth was a kindertransport child whose parents died in the Holocaust.)

We went to dinner following, we always enjoy these friends.

I remember those busy days when DH worked every day. Sunday eve. I would start desk chores, tidying kitchen to make ready for coolers etc. Sunday evenings it felt like the coming week had already started. But if I didn't do these things, what a mess on Monday morning!

Today was church and I got groceries on the way home. It was so hot I was miserable by the time I got home.

Garbage gathered, refrigerator cleaned out. Kitchen picked up.

DH is nervous about his upcoming stress test tomorrow. I found him standing at the counter reading the paper of Dr. instructions for his prep, which he is already doing. He never checks on things like this, he just does what I tell him to do. Like NO CAFFEINE! Anyway, it's another early early morning and I'll have at least 2 hrs. to wait. I'm not sitting in that waiting room with a mask on. Thinking I'll go up to the hamburger place 1 block away and sit there for a while. Too hot to sit in the car. Fabric store a block the other way isn't open that early, drat!

On that note, I finished the project with the dust ruffle and came up with another one in my head to do. The pillow cases that came with the set are just a tad too short. I am going to sew a pretty edging, cover the hemmed edge which is 4" and double it so it is also on the inside, finished nicely but make it an inch or two longer. Sheets are plain white so I have all my material out looking and I have some pretty white eyelet stuff and some pink and white print. The set came with 4 pillow cases. My pillow are regular standard size, so these cases shouldn't have been so skimpy. I didn't pay a skimpy price, after all.

Looking at my week not sure we are having my first Ladies Bible study, granny duty instead of the other one I already let them know I was booked.
With the 1st week of school starting on Wed. here it has everyone in jitters, and a bit edgy.
So if my schedule is open I will do laundry and some of my class I have the papers cut for my writing prompts for the journal jar project I am doing.
That is fun and exciting!
Summer heat continues here this next week.
I need yeast so I can make up dough for rolls will freeze the dough for that when I get it yeast maybe make it when dgd is here the grands like to bake at gmas place.

Events I am not doing car show weekend, and walk around the reservoir with lunch at a pie shop 35 apx. mi. north of us in the woods.
