Tuesday PWYC Parade
What's on your Parade of daily activities today? Cue up the marching bands, baton twirlers, clowns, and floats with flowers (thanks to our gardening folks!) The parade is starting!

Re: Tuesday PWYC Parade
Good morning, Twins! Thanks for starting us off!
I've been AWOL for a week -- fairly busy with payroll. I think I'm finally caught up... which means I no longer have an excuse for making some DPCs.
I tried to CUOP, but a week is a bit much. I gather we are still waiting on some answers for Dee's DH. I hope the ouchies of him and all others who got stung, literally or metaphorically, heal quickly.
Wishing a good day to all who follow!

Re: Tuesday PWYC Parade
I have body work this a.m. - I'm beginning to feel achy so it's good timing. And I need a pick up at Target - perhaps a walk through too for things I didn't know I needed? I realized this a.m. that we need milk and can get at Target - since we'll be away this weekend I may not need a big grocery shopping trip this week.
This afternoon into evening is working on genealogy three generation report. First is mostly done. I'm spending some time on the most recent right now to get it pulled together.
Jerome and Joseph is here this a.m., we may have a functioning sink today!
Hi Mystery! I don't always CUOP if I've been away for awhile. I go back and read a day or two to catch up.

Good morning!
My Draft PODA -
** Done! Public school (DD11 delivered with a happy smile on her face and chatting non-stop as she got out of the vehicle).
** DS14 to his favorite hair stylist. They will team up and do something to his hair that 14-year-old males prefer. I suspect he will stick with the mullet and get another perm. Pick your battles - this is definitely not one of mine!
** Homeschool - 7 subjects
** Pick DD11 up from school and then we will head to the city for her appt with counselor.
DH already received a call this morning to meet the nurse at DMIL home.

Re: Tuesday PWYC Parade
Yet another day with nothing on my to-do !I$+.
When I got home from the knitting group yesterday, I discovered that dh had done all the dirty pots and pans. I almost cried because I was so happy. He hasn't done anything in such a long time. I thanked him for doing them. Before I went to sleep last night, I thanked him again.
Other than surfing around the web, all I've done is put a dozen eggs on to boil. They are now resting in the hot water.
Tuesdays and Wednesdays are almost like a weekend to me. Two days with no plans and no knitting groups to go to. Now dh tells me he wants to take a load up to the metal recycler.

Re: Tuesday PWYC Parade
Cathy reminds me that we should be sure to thank those who notice something with which they can help.
I, too, should probably thank HRH again for ordering me a new casserole dish to replace one I broke last week. I had actually cried over it a bit (scared, for one thing), and it shocked me so much when it broke that he came running when I hollered.
I think he was rather proud to have found another just like it on ebay ("surprise") and I may not have shown enough appreciation. I'm sure dish prices/shopping were sticker shock to him because the shipping was nearly as much as the price! This is the strawberries-on-the-side white type from Shefield, so it's pretty in the red and white kitchen and maybe I was more shook up than necessary because of losing something that matched.
I was asked to join an afternoon phone meeting and said yes, but others have not responded, so it's up in the air. Shouldn't make other plans, though. Hmmm ... .. That kind of thing keeps you from starting projects confidently. It said, "sometime between 1 and 3". So, from 1 to 3 there's just a waiting game and if it falls through, I guess we play again tomorrow.

A correction to be made. The folks at Ancestry DNA say that they've changed their minds
and I have no Ireland DNA after all (?). I had just found out last time they sent info that I did - they thought 11 percent then - and we were discussing it here on St Patrick's Day this year. Was planning on a little extra attention to March 17 in the coming year, lol, but I guess I'm back to just being interested for other's sake. I do not pretend to understand how this works, but they gather in more info from more people as time passes and put it through the computer and realize changes.

Re: Tuesday PWYC Parade
There are several we're missing here that's for sure. I'd start naming them but I'd surely miss someone important (and you all are!) Just know if you peek in that you're missed.
Dh happened to pop in and I had just looked to see when I last did a LOL of 'darks'. Wow! 15 days ago. So I gathered the laundry and had dh help me take them to the laundry twins. He has the company cart he's driving right now. I'll take ours back down later -if it's not raining and walk back. It'll do me good. I should be able to toss them in the dryer a little after 11:30 and go back after I give dh his lunch.
Have to figure something for dinner. Think I'll have to do a grocery run very soon. Need to figure something easy (and good) to do with chicken breasts. Giving dh the rest of the chicken salad for lunch and I'll finish up the pasta/sauce.
One week from today dh will be able to go see our cardiologist -unless they call him with an earlier appointment. Then a slew of appointments begin. I need to work on typing out a list of questions for him -as well as his other Dr appointments.
Our dneighbor is going to help us clean out our 2 cabinets on the deck. One holds all dh's heavier clothing and the other is an assortment of extra dishes, etc. There's never enough room in an RV. And we have more storage space than most -even if some of that is absolutely inaccessible.
This is something dneighbor loves to do -that along with painting. Can't tell you how many people she's helped pack up. She should be earning a living doing this! I'm hoping to change some things around out there. Going to have to get out my measuring stick.

Re: Tuesday PWYC Parade
Good morning!
Harriet, I still believe you have the luck of the Irish! We're told we are Irish on my Mother's side and we know for sure those who came from Northern Ireland to America. But a great grandfather once told DMom that before that (how far?) they came from Scotland! I wish I could document that and see how/when that happened. We still think of ourselves as Irish.
Busy morning. I was up late sewing last evening. I got 2 of those pillow cases extended and 2 more hems cut ready to attach. That is my next chore. I keep peeking in there to look at my pillows that are fixed. DH declared them nice!
I have 1 LOL hanging up. Empties all the hampers around here.
Quiet time caught up with my reading for the month. I want to finish this "book" by the end of the month. Bible Study starts sometime in September. I haven't yet received the email about that but I keep checking. Read a little in my book I brought home from the "free" shelf and it was one I'd read the whole series and enjoyed tremendously. I try not to collect books any more but this was special. I'll find a couple I'm sure to get rid of on the shelf to keep my numbers down.
Have a video to watch and then get busy. This afternoon I stop at the post office and the supermarket where I need to get milk (mine starts to sour) and an Rx I called about this morning. Poor DH had cereal with milk and I mentioned the milk after he had eaten. He lost most of his sense of taste and smell many years back (not covid related) so doesn't know. I think he eats just for texture. He can taste salt and sweet, random things such as chocolate and I notice he wasn't enthused about several recent dishes he used to love. I think that's sad.
Have a nice afternoon!

For all those relying on Ancestry (or other DNA companies) for ethnicity, please read: https://www.legalgenealogist.com/2022/0 ... up-for-us/
Well the issues with the fan for over the stove go on... The one I ordered that we picked up on Sunday won't fit. Note that I ordered one of the ones the contractor suggested, and after a week found out it would be another two weeks. So that order got cancelled and I ordered a second - the only 30 inch one that could be picked up last weekend. Now it goes back.
As I was leaving I got a phone call from the cemetery committee lady and had to walk out and drive talking to her. I don't care when we have a meeting. I don't have a best day or favorite time...just tell me when.
I went to Tar jay and forgot to get the stuff I was picking up. Realized that as I was driving home.
So I treated myself to an iced coffee and donut.
I need to order the fan, he's measuring...
