I started with a rough night's sleep, including a nightmare about my dh contracting Covid. I don't think I'm going to thrive today.

Dh has another appointment today. We might go out for supper. No idea.

I did get some paperwork shifted to different storage areas yesterday and this morning. It meant moving stuff around and out of my library yesterday. Today I moved 3 filing boxes out of the library and into the pantry. Now the doorway to the former closet in the library (which used to be a bedroom) looks much better. I have managed to empty 3 clear filing bins. Dh wants to hang on to them, so he will put them out in the garage. Our pantry has one 6 shelf rack (from Cstco) that is for all the "office/paperwork" stuff and these 3 full bins went on the bottom shelf, so they aren't taking up room on the floor.
Dishes never stop.
Laundry never stops.
Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

Love it, bw2! You're up and about early today! And thriving, blooming and flourishing too!

I need to run errands but I think I'm not. Tomorrow we're going to ATL for the weekend. Dh is pushing to leave elevenish and I'd rather leave a little later. I'm thinking I'm not going to have that much time tomorrow a.m. if he's chomping at the bit, but OTOH, if I'm away for three days perhaps I should do what I want today? And OTOH I need to start unloading the kitchen, staying out of the way, of course, because he's putting up the undercabinet lights.

Whoops, Tar-jay insists that I come today, so I guess I will. I should also drop off the paper recycle that's in my car. In ATL we're going to some of the fancy home outlets to look for counter height bar stools.

Need to get moving. So many OMM things with this kitchen.

Hoping you can get a nap Cathy or do some other self-care today.

hi d cathy! I am so sorry you had such a rough night sleep last night - hope it is better tonight!
It must feel wonderful for the area to look and feel better! well done!

I think I heard Tar jet calling you d twins!
I hope you have a wonderful time in AT LANTA!!!
I hope you are able to have some time for you before heading out!

hello d everyone.

I wish you all a blessed day!!!

The dogs and I will be going outside after the landscapers finish with the grass. These guys are miracle workers!!! They don't do the beds but I am always thrilled after the grass is cut bc it makes it look neat again.

My hope today: is to get the curtain rods up in 3 season room and hang the curtains after ironing them.
I have to pull the corn and freeze it or give away. :D
I need to go through the fridge - not clean it but say goodby to the things I didn't use.
pay one bill :D
order waterproof rug for under cat litter
pull hammock and put away for next year
write the lady that did a basic drawing for me in the back - they don't charge for it but I do give her something.

I can't believe it but I am beginning to think about fall and even Christmas  ;)

Well, I was going to have a tomato sandwich for lunch. However when dh was in a few minutes ago he said he wanted something he could eat on the fly. Asked if he'd like a tomato sandwich and he said that would be ideal. Won't tell him we only have 1 tomato so maybe I can eek a half sandwich out of that for me. I'm almost out of bread too. I really need to go to the bakery and buy some. I like this one kind we've been buying at the grocery store but it's just too thick, but good!

I've done practically nothing today -except discover I left my coffee I made last night on the coffee brewer. So I put it in the freezer for half hour or so and am now sipping that. I never went to sleep until somewhere around 3 or 4 -again-

I do have to get at the dishes. Was going to do them last night and simply ran out of time and steam. So that'll be up next.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Good morning!

My energy level continues to be low. I am in fake it mode while I continue to do normal routines and activities.

I am seeing a difference in DD11 attitude toward life and wonder if it has anything to do with her 1.5 intense meeting with counselor this week. Regardless of where this attitude change is coming from, I am happy for her.

Homeschool is done for the day and week. Our homeschool schedule is not participating in the virtual days that our public school has been forced to do. They are only doing them 7 Fridays a semester (14 days the entire school year). This fulfills the state requirement to not have 4 days school week. DD11 is having her first virtual school day tomorrow but from the documentation I've seen it is close to being a farce. Instructions are similar to "If you have access to IXL then do a lesson, if you don't have access to IXL then don't worry about it".

I have cooked a meal for today. Tamales, fried beans, Spanish rice and green salad. I doubled the amount with the hope there will be leftovers.

I got my first monarch caterpillar! tickled pink.

Pulled the rest of the corn - some was older than it should be so I put it in back for the squirrels or deer.
I am leaving the stalks up until fall. (using them so the dogs don't knock down the sunflowers.
I also have 25+ little pumpkins (decorative type).
I will donate them to the neighborhood kids to pick

I am sorry your energy is low. I know that fake mode - it''s hard. I had that yesterday and I ended up with a migraine.
hope you feel better.

I am glad the counseling helped your sweet dd
glad you are free from home school for this week d lady.

hi d Nancy glad you had a nice sleep!
your work always inspires me to do better in my day.

hello sweet dee - tomato sandwich ... mmm mmm good!
oh my goodness - I will send the the fairy to your house to spread restful magic over to help you sleep gently and deeply.

hi d everyone. time to make something with the corn I picked. dogs are chasing each other with the over ripe corn and stalks. silly dogs.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

I'm coming back through. I went on to Tarjay and then through the grocery. I don't want a lot in the refrigerator since we'll be away, but don't want to have to go to the grocery first thing on Monday a.m.

The postman was stopped talking to someone way down on the street leading to our area, and I could see the fan for range hood in the back of his truck, so I stopped and gave him ID and picked it up.
