Cleaning lady is here. I finished the pots and pans and sharp knives as she was walking in the door. Bed is made. Dishwasher emptied and refilled.

As soon as she leaves, I need to go to costo and pick up 1 prescription for dh and a vat of potato salad. I also have to go to the bank before I go to knitting.

I think we are having "Latino Fusion" for supper. There is a new restaurant in town and we both think the empanadas look interesting. I know there should be an accent over an a, but I can't get my computer to cooperate.

Good morning!

Cathy - Thanks for the start. The Latino Fusion sounds interesting. I would love to hear your reviews of it.

I've had a late start to my day but once I got started, I have been busy. I have spent much of my time this morning doing daily routines while mentoring DS14 and DD11. I am remaining firm on the kids taking care of their bedrooms before they leave the house. I don't want the role of bedroom inspector because I want them to be responsible for their things. But until that life skill happens I can either mentor them daily or give up and let them fill their bedroom with stuff again. Wondering if there is a different choice?

Last night DH showed me a lump that has appeared. This morning I called our family doctor, and they are working him in at 2pm this afternoon. Lumps are potentially worrisome, but hopefully it will turn out to be nothing serious.

This morning is team cleaning. I need to get started on the floors.

Trusting (with you) that this lump will prove to be 'harmless'.

I've been busy since I got up which was 7:15. I forgot to put on my F itbit last night (it was left in my capris' pocket. I put it in there when I ride my exercycle so my steps get counted.) But I'm pretty sure I got a good number of hours last night. I was rather surprised that I did as I was fairly 'upset' with Dbil. He's sounding more and more like his DMom. She used to call dh while he was in his office. He'd talk to her until she started talking badly about our dks -without reason I might add. He would politely tell her someone had just come in and say good-bye. His DB's main complaint at this point is that "no one calls me. My niece (our DD) who lived with me 2 years comes and brings me cookies and leaves in 5 minutes. I know that's an exaggeration. Then of course there's 5 more nieces/nephew from his other brother. It's constant at this point. I know how lonely and scared he is but I hope he remembers all the good each of them have done. DD for instance bought several medical helps for Dsisil to help him out and on and on. I know she's gone to stay with dsisil different times that Dbil couldn't be there. You get the gist. Okay, vent over. I've heard dh say more than once that he figures he'll go over there every day once we're in FL. I do not believe that even he is up to that. It's a good hour round trip at best. And I definitely don't believe I could do it day in/day out. For one thing dbil is SO VERY NEGATIVE and always has been.

Getting ready to rain, at least it looks that way.

Going to dfriends here at the campground for dinner tomorrow evening. He called last night to say he'd changed the menu to roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and a vegetable. I know he did it for me. I hate the fact that it's so hard for me to eat anything chewy or even to bite something off. Bless his heart. Said I'd bring a dessert. So I'll pick up something today/tomorrow.

Back to work -oh I should say, "Blessing my house" shouldn't I.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

finishing up on Friday - what a great reminder d Cathy! Thank you for starting us!
yay on cleaning lady being there!
yay on your work! have a great day doing errands as well.

hi d lady
I don't know if there is a different choice.
you will figure out what feels right for you re: kiddo's bedrooms
also praying the lump is just a harmless cyst.
oh team cleaning sounds wonderful!

hi d dee praying your d bil that he finds ways to call others if he doesn't feel like people aren't calling enough. It sounds like his time is lonely and doesn't know what to do with his time positively. It's so hard to deal with negativity which may hiding any depression and loneliness. As you know you can't change them; negativity is a bad habit. praying for your d bil to find his way to be happier.

My grandmother - who I adored - used to get upset that my uncle didn't call them - my mom finally said - call him.

I struggle sometimes with this with others. They don't know they can do things for others so that it fills their heart. Even writing letters to soldiers, etc.

I like that -" Blessing my house!"

hi d Nancy
waving to you as well!

Blessed, oooh a skunk! :o Really good that your dogs weren't out in the yard when he/she came ambling by!

I've been doing a big pupa around here. Pink bedroom done. Dining room done. Kitchen done this morning. Well, except for the kitchen table which is DH's domain. I might try to organize it a bit.

Now I am working on the guest bathroom. Wiping out all the drawers. I put a couple sample shampoo bottles into the wall container in Master bath. I'm working on getting rid of all the extra stuff in the house. Presently waiting for the things I wiped in the bathroom vanity to dry. I have a shelf vinyl liner called easy liner to put on the bottom of the cabinet inside. I'd had a container of bleach down there as I used to pre-spot and/or wash hand wash stuff sometimes and the container of bleach leaked and left marks on the laminate. So I am covering it. The liner is the same color as the rest of the wood and speckled so I think it will look better. Here's hoping it goes on easily. I have put the laundry stuff back in the laundry. That bathroom is now a guest bathroom and I don't use it. It's almost dry ready to work in there.

I'm working my way around the house. Another layer of the onion.

d harmony I am grateful d younger dog was afraid and came inside and grateful older dog didn't get sprayed!!!
When my dd older was about to get baptized - we had to go to a meeting at church before hand. that night dh and I came home and let our then dog outside - (there was a skunk living under our stairs that we didn't know about). Our dog got sprayed and oh my gosh - that was awful even after doing what we knew how to do. We had to throw out her collar as every time she got hot - the collar stunk (and she too) to high heaven!

I am putting a couple water bowls outside the fence tonight with a bit of baby powder on the ground to see if I see skunk prints.

yay on pupa work!!! Well done on your work in the bathrooms as well. I love that: Another layer of the onion.

(my problem seems to be that the onion keeps growing layers when I am not looking  )

I am not upset but I have to admit I am going through another: How do other women do this? How do things get a layer of dirt on them.

I am working in my laundry room and there is dirt and dust all over - I moved the washer and dryer and swept and dusted - it looks awful! how?! so fast.
I am going to have to list what I did on my calendar. I am wondering if I am having Time Passage Awareness disorder when it comes to cleaning this area.

Cleaned the top of the washer and dryer
swept side of dryer floor
Swiffer duster walls and spider webs that keep coming.
washing whites.
hand vacuumed laundry room floor

Next:
wash off all smudges from dogs and people
wash trim on floor
I will ask d brother to help me move washer and dryer when he comes in so I can wash it - I am sure the dogs are the main reason there is dirt and dust back there.
the floor in the kitchen is embarrassing - that must be done today.
