Well. In the case of One Thing Leads to Another...
* water plant -- DONE -- AND pulled out a BUNCH of dead vines, leaves, etc... threw that out in the pasture...

* wipe out refrigerator shelves -- DONE -- AND restocked dh's Supple from utility room closet (online drink that is supposed to help arthritis)

* vacuum crumbs dgs left behind in their bedroom -- DONE -- AND vacuumed around the baseboards of the entire (large) room, which was obviously needed. I had intended for this week's zone to be the computer room, but I believe it is going to be this bedroom... I feel motivated to do a LOT of decluttering and organizing in there... shaking my head... I didn't do the whole floor, just around the edges for now... taking a break for cheese & crackers and water...
This room is absolutely ridiculous... it has stuff from ds's high school days, plus stuff he brought home from college, plus stuff he & ddil left after they moved out, plus stuff dh brought home when we cleaned out dmil's house. Added to all THAT... stuff I brought out of storage from ds's childhood for dgrands to play with! It's insane. And of course, I can't just go in there and start tossing things willy-nilly because dh AND ds would both freak out.

* clean out purse -- DONE

* clean bathrooms -- not done yet, but surprisingly, this will be the easiest task on the list, LOL.

I also have to iron dh's clothes tonight, but I am almost looking forward to it. Almost two hours, I estimate, when I will have quiet time to watch crime shows on tv. ;)
Tomorrow is another day.

You're right, Harriet, it is complicated. Just need to get through the next couple of weeks without an incident (so hoping and praying here). Once Cardiologist knows what's going on with the bleeding he might be able to proceed with the Cardioversion (finally looked up the term). It's shocking the heart back into rhythm. Meantime we have to avoid anything that could cause blood clots going into a stroke so we're anything but 'home free' for sure. Dh has been napping most of the afternoon off and on -in between bathroom trips. I think his fluid pills are working overtime this afternoon. Probably because he's been in the recliner with his feet up most of the afternoon.

Dh did talk w/DS-A and he's going to try to get dh a truck AND driver to go to Brockport (about 20/25 miles from here to pick up 100 gallons of RV antifreeze. He's still hoping to be able to winterize campers this year. :? Then he has a lot recycling to be taken in. DS-R called us from Myrtle Beach. Asked him when they were coming home. HIs reply, " I hope never". Asked him to please not say that, but I know what he means. I know they're having a very good vacation and very much deserved. Talked w/DD some. She's feeling pretty 'crappy' but think how much worse she'd be without the meds. So have talked with all the dks today.

I actually pulled together Shepherd's pie for dinner. Only thing was after I got it pretty well mixed up realized I don't have a casserole. But I do have a smaller size crockpot and we put it all in that and will eat in an hour or so. It was all hot when I put it in there. Potatoes just won't brown on top but that's okay. Think it's going to taste good to us. The potatoes are some that DD and I actually brought up with us from FL as we knew her dh wouldn't cook them. They were still very good though I had a time getting them to cook thoroughly and mash well. There might be a few lumps but they'll be okay.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

If you're getting the type that doesn't have a handle and just opens when you push against the door, have you thought about keeping it clean? Hands will always be on your doors getting them to open and close. I'm thinking the finish will wear out with that much use. I try to use just the handles here and keep my hand off the surfaces.
Yep, I quite agree Harmony but this is what dh wants. And he's been so whinny about how I've made all the decisions and his don't count, that I'll willing to let him try it. But my patience is wearing thin on it. bw2, no, it was that we could have the hardware here by Friday if we went back to the normal handles that I chose instead of dh wanting this closure that is pressed to open.

Lucylee, I've given up on makeup unless it's an "occasion."

I am tired today and my focus is really off. The two Js left around three and I took a 1.5 hr nap.

bbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbb
The laptop worked fine for 5 hours and then without anything different it started the b tantrum again. Out of the blue, it randomly starts typing repeating b's until I hit esc key to stop it. However, it won't type a b when I hit the key on the keyboard. I must do a cut/paste to type a b.

wait an hour and then the b key starts working again.

Bathrooms -- 2/3 done...
Dusted in dgrands' room...
We've also eaten supper and straightened up the kitchen. (Supper was from KFC. Apparently I have given up cooking along with make-up, LOL. DH requested pot pies from KFC.)
OH -- and dh laid out his medicine for tomorrow and in the process, discovered that the last time he did this, he misplaced the TRAMADOL bottle. Oh my goodness... much concern over this... finally discovered it with the other bottles on the counter.

DH has a very Sheldon-like way of doing his medicines.
There are several bottles on the counter by the sink. These he has to take every day.
There are two more, aside from these, that he only takes during gout flare-ups.
Above this counter, in the cabinet, are the cold medicines, cough medicines, my meds/supplements, etc. etc. and this is where he keeps the Tramadol. He is trying to go as long as possible without it because he fears the doctor will stop prescribing it if he thinks dh is taking it too often.
THEN, on the other side of the kitchen, he has a weekly pill container with day/night pills. He keeps this full, but does not use from it. This is for MY benefit, in case he is ever bedridden and cannot go through this weekly/twice weekly process of the final step: laying out the pills in little piles.
All along this counter, he has his cereal bowls, spoons, juice glasses, and apples -- breakfast fixings for the week. Beside each bowl is the little pile of pills, one for morning, one for evening.
Believe me, I truly thank God that neither of the dgrands have ever shown ANY interest in messing with this system. 1. I think ddil instilled great fear in them if they touched Granddaddy's medicine... and 2. I think they know Granddaddy is particular about some things and this is one of them.

And we wonder that sometimes I tend to look back and romanticize my early teenage years when Other Guy brought his perfect self into my life every other Friday?

I, too, choose happiness over frustration, LadyM. ;) However, in your situation, I fear my choice might be to throw that laptop out the door! (((HUGS)))

hello dear ones. happy evening to you.

I found out I lost 2 of the packages of brackets - not sure how - I must have counted wrong.
did a quick vacuum and surface rinse
moved bottom of hutch over to wall - I need my brother to help with the top of the hutch
hung up the remaining 2 bottom curtains. I need to wait for the valances.
tomorrow I will go to a different home de pot to see if they have hardware.

I have the cleaning ladies coming Thursday so I should sand the floor in one area tomorrow.

I never got to my other work which means I either over-goaled or over slowed - I think the over slowed was more my speed. ;)

hello d Lucy - you are a powerhouse!
don't worry - my dh is exactly the same - he likes consistency - he may not be physically aware of cleaning but he is very aware of where his things are inside the house. (not so much in the garage).

hi d lady - can you take it in and see how much a diagnostic would be compared to a new computer?

hi d twins I am so sorry - I thought you could get the ones you wanted!
I am glad you got a nice nap!
May you have a gentle and relaxing evening!

hi d dee.
praying for good things re: the cardiologist and your dh.
also praying someone else offers to take on the job of winterizing the campers.
(((your sweet dd)))
I love shepherds pie - I wish I could come over for great company and a great dinner.

good night everyone.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Dee, I am happy you've at least got some medical help for DH that might help things. Thinking about him trying to do all that weatherizing... I know you must worry about him. I've got the same thing here.

LadyM, laptop woes...my goodness. That's the sort of stuff that drives me nuts because I simply have no idea how to go about fixing stuff like that. Sometimes I just google the problem and get pages of people saying I did this or that and I try what they say. Long long time ago my old Dell computer got stuck on the Speech program and I couldn't understand why the thing would begin typing when I was not on the keyboard and it typed gibberish. Someone on our old SHE site told me to check the Speech program and it kept turning on by itself and would pick up sound from the little tv sitting right next to it. I finally figured out how to get it turned off.

I was beginning to put DH's bed together and asked him to help with the dust ruffle. He came in and decided to take the mattress off the bed even though I said not to. He's all banged up from going up the ladder to look at the roof...which is why we hired this job out so he wouldn't have to go up there...but he did and his shin is all skinned and his elbow so naturally he got blood all over the ruffle so I had to rewash and dry it. After I had him all bandaged up I thought ok I'm going to do this myself so he won't make any more trouble and I did get the bed back together. ....sigh....

And I am tired from working so hard all day and he got the TV/Satellite all messed up and I had to call the company and get them to talk me through how to reset it to get the signal. It was all on the right channel and the HDMI1 thing but apparently we have to hit that HD... button on the TV remote too even though it shows it's set right.... so I wrote instructions and information on the front of the folder for next time (this has happened before)...

Lucylee, I'd be a bit unnerved with piles of pills all over the place like your DH has. DH wouldn't even know how to do that. I set up his boxes and just remind him every day to take them. At least he gets the right AM and PM ones.... and if there's anything different when something else is going on I just put them in a little pill plastic and hand then to him. It is a lot of work for me and nothing works if I forget too.

I did some more decluttering along with my work. The bin is full again.

Twins, the reason why I thought about your cabinets is we have the same problem in our master. Cherry wood in there and our pulls on the chest of drawers and dresser are little round wood knobs. Our fingers hit the wood around the knobs because they are so small and the finish is wearing off around them. I'd hate to see that happen to your new cabinets. I guess they are wood? Not like you have a lot of choice anyway if your DH is set on this...
