I am trying to eat healthy, but it is very challenging when eating out so much.
today - eat out because kitchen sink is out of commission.
tomorrow - eat out with ladies group
Tuesday - eat out lunch with elderberry group
Tuesday - eat out dinner because DD11 appt in the city.
Wed - eat with church family
Ugh...Eating out 5 times in 4 days. How do people eat out frequently and not gain weight? I feel like I don't have a fighting chance unless I can figure out a way to combine eating out with healthy eating.
My blood glucose just crashed, which is rare for me, but it makes sense since I had a high carb lunch (72 net carbs). I grabbed a can of tuna fish and quickly ate it to get BG turned around & headed back into normal zone. I have utmost admiration for those who must monitor & deal with BG on an hourly/daily basis.

I am feeling tired chunky and cranky
I have to eat healthier!
hi d lady it is hard to eat out so much.
hope you feel better - crashes are hard and makes one feel physically awful. praying for normalized sugar!
I am trying to consider what I want to do next. I drank reg. coffee until 3 pm and I know it might not go well tonight.

Re: SPECIAL SUNDAY
Well, as you all know, we eat out too much, and I am gaining weight. This morning was particularly upsetting on the scales.
But just now we ate at Arby’s and I had the turkey - bacon - ranch sandwich, with no ranch! No sauce of any kind, so surely that wasn’t too high-calorie. Of course, BEFORE we left I was having a really weak, shaky feeling, so I ate a banana, pack of pb crackers, and a Kind bar. Sigh.
I’ve also started taking some rx cough med we had left over from some time before. If I am not better by Wednesday, I think I am going to try to see the doctor. This is getting tiresome.

LadyM, restaurants have "permission" to add salt, sugar and fat quantities that we would never expect to find in the recipes in our own recipe boxes, our cookbooks (old and new), or even the magazines we might buy in a checkout lane. Well, they don't really have "permission" so much as they have the chance to get away with it, don't they? You're quite right to be surprised anyone can eat out often and not affect health. This is why, on a cruise, in which the great majority of meals are in the ship's restaurants or buffets, and there's no chance to "eat at home", people come back heavier. Maybe the church meal you attend won't be so bad.
I'm sorry there is upset in the church.
We've been asked for lunch tomorrow at dstepson's.
The banana sounds wise, lucylee. That would be HRH's advice.
Hope you keep feeling well, blessed. Buying bulbs sounds fun.

Re: SPECIAL SUNDAY
Hello, I see Sunny here and wonder why she is up so late. Me too. I should be in bed. I napped a couple times today so wasn't sleepy earlier.
I came back here to type a letter to a friend. She just had eye surgery and was having trouble seeing so I typed it in a bigger font to make it easier for her. So I've been up a while.
I hear everybody about their eating choices. It's hard enough while at home. We eat out so seldom I usually feel oh it's ok it's just this one time. But that's a slippery slope. Lots of butter in restaurants.
Tomorrow is a visit to DH's dr. and I will go along. We'll see how that goes. He wants to go to the beach tomorrow but NO I'm not putting on my suit in their restroom. If we come home I will change and we'll go to the little local one. He's afraid the water might be getting cooler, it might be a bit with all the rain we've had recently, but I thought it was too hot the last time anyway.
I painted the last bit of white on the porch. We need to check that calking and then I need to touch up the main color and we are done with all that. Just have the floor to do then.
Ok, off to bed!
