PASS OVER - I NEED TO RANT - SO PLEASE IGNORE.

I am really annoyed with dh. He insisted on having a tree arborist (whom I have worked with before) to try to save the birch tree out in front. The man was here and dh didn't even tell me he was here - I saw them when I passed the window.

The bottom half has peeled large chunks and the interior of one trunk collects 4" + of water. You can't help but see the interior truck because the outside is rotted. I suggested we take down the tree as the tree leans over the driveway. Even the man said that if it isn't treated it will be dead by next year. Dh doesn't know the cost that comes with using this company. I could see a mile away that he wanted to let dh pay for trying to save a tree that is literally falling apart - they also charge large amounts of money to cut a tree down. I have someone that does it for a quarter of the cost.

I told dh I spent $700 for their program for spraying the trees during the summer (that should have been taken down). We also had tons of flying bees/insects die one year. I don't know what caused it but I worry about spraying trees to save them. He also doesn't understand the man makes a commission on the spraying program. I could see he was lying. - I trusted the girl who used to come. I don't trust him. It was a good sales ploy. He also offered to sell us a tree - the city does a program where you can get a tree really cheap every spring.

The tree is dying fast and he will not accept it. I am so frustrated that his fear of change is going to cost us lots of money.

sorry I am complaining - I am so frustrated. (actually I feel mad and I don't like feeling angry).

thanks for letting me let it all out!

(((Blessed))) rant away! You are in a safe place.
p.s. IMHO, you have very valid reasons to be upset!

The kitchen helpers are working -
** Egg cooker is hard boiling 14 eggs
** Instant Pot is cooking the potatoes
** Air Fryer is making roasted broccoli

I took some calf liver out of the freezer to defrost a bit. I'll cook liver and onions for my lunch.

That is frustrating bw2. I hate it when dh "takes charge" without consulting me on something like that.

I got porch pillows out and summer ones put away. And boxes put back away - important for dh parking in the garage. What else? Started load of laundry, arranged flowers that I bought yesterday on Instacart when I got groceries. Had a snack too - I needed one. I also checked on my "nicer" plastic plates and ordered more for RH. I know I have plenty of plastic cutlery.

Honestly, I feel terrible.

((d twins))) I am sorry you feel bad! I hope you start feeling better soon!!!

thank you both for allowing me to stamp my feet, growl and be super cranky! I feel better.

I feel for others who always get upset easily - I dislike the feeling so so much that I can't imagine that feeling taking over my body like that on a regular basis. I usually say a prayer for those who loose it. It has to be so so hard physically and emotionally.

yay for your kitchen helpers d lady!

dh wants to go get the lamps and he doesn't want to go on his own - he also wants to get gas for my car. I would love to stay home but this means a lot to him and after my performance I feel I should take care of what he wants done. I told him I needed to be on my own for a bit so that I don't take out my frustrations out on him. I told him I was saving him from me. (he laughed).

I wish you all well!!! (every so often I still feel a low growl coming on  )

(Blessed) I totally get your frustration over things when your DH makes bad decisions and won't listen to reason. I'm in the same boat here. Let me take an oar with you.

I did a bad thing about a tree in the front yard. Somebody gave us a mango tree. First of all, a friend gives us all the mangoes we could ever want. I don't like them and DH doesn't like to bother with them though he'll eat some if I get them ready. Mostly they get pitched out. He planted that tree right in the front lawn. Right beside the driveway which would maybe crack and uplift the concrete some day and drop leaves all over everything and create too much shade to grow grass in the front yard. Same problem we have on the other side of the driveway with our oaks. We had to plant ground cover over there because we can't grow grass in the shade.

Mango trees are huge. Such a bad idea. I kept explaining all this to him. Finally I gave up and started spraying it with round-up. I know, bad me. Couldn't kill it. Then I tried some bleach. The grass all around the bottom instantly died and the tree started to yellow. DH was watching it, saying somebody must have come up here and poisoned my tree. I finally told him: I'm not saying I did or didn't spray this tree...but you do know how bad it would be here don't you? So he just kept watching it as it died. All he was annoyed about was his circle of grass that died.

He never talks about it. I think he knows I did something to it but he doesn't complain. I waited a season and then dug up the yellow grass and put my pretty flower garden in that spot and we both like that a lot.

Don't do what I did, but I thought you would enjoy my story.

Ok, now I put my happy loving cap back on. 8-)

I answered a letter got it out just in time for the mailman. One more letter to do.

Went outside with DH and we made some plans about the stones and edging for the porch. He finished the painting today.

I have been telling him what he's supposed to do for his procedure Thursday. I keep telling him. He keeps getting confused. Sigh... oh well, I will get him through this. He was bothered that today we had a telephone appointment with the Dr. office. He was thinking he couldn't handle this stuff so we got set up in front of the speaker phone in the office. Nurse practitioner called and we got that done. There was some confusion about one of his supplements... apparently CoQ10 doesn't play nice with blood coagulating stuff and it would have been nice if someone had told us before this...so she went away and talked with Dr. and all is still good. Tomorrow he does his prep (glad it isn't me!).

I have some chicken to make broth, will do that next.
Just puttering around doing odds and ends. Thinking I wish I had a library book to take tomorrow to read while I wait. Hmmm what's on my shelf here? Not much I don't think. sigh...

I DID enjoy the story!!!!
oh my gosh, d harmony, I did like it. I also never knew mango trees grow large! I had no idea. Glad you got a nice flower area out of it!

It reminds me of my d FIL. dh was a young teen and his mini bike caught on fire and left a round burn mark between his and his neighbors lawn. My dh told his dad. My d FIL told the neighbor that it was a new kind of beetle that made that mark! My d FIL told the neighbor with a straight face. He did end up replacing that grass circle that was burnt.

how nice to have a painted basement d harmony!.
I will be thinking of your dh tomorrow!

I think I am waiting for motivation to wash my kitchen floor instead of acting on it. I will wash one foot x one foot and that's it. if the spirit moves me then I will do more.

we picked up our lamps
and dh put gas in my car.

Refrigerator staples are replenished.
Lunch was enjoyed twice. The first time when I ate it and then the second time when I entered the food into cronometer and made many of the micronutrition turn green.

Yesterday i picked up most of DH 90 day supply of medications from the pharmacy. There was still one prescription that didn't have approved needed so I'll have to get it later. This afternoon I filled October AM & PM pill containers for DH and then put all remaining medication away. The family doctor changed one of DH prescriptions and it needs to be monitored for the first 2 weeks of October. If his Blood Pressure is above 130 then we add a second pill of his new medication. Otherwise, DH medication containers are good to go until November 1st.

DH just left to spend the night with DMIL. I'll take supper to DH in a couple of hours.

DD11 is home from school and immediately went to her bedroom. I need to find out what has upset her.

I have rested did some knitting new project.
I have a few squash to deal with.
I made a salad to go with dinner as one side.
I tried making sub sandwiches, sort of turned out ok, but could use some improvement.
I did 15 min. in the garden, some minor pruning, got the other branches out in the can ready for next week's pick up.
The dog just barked a bit and I found a yellow jacket in that room! Yellow jacket is dead and out side now.

Dog got a bath and blow dry today.
