Thanks for opening up the village for us, LadyM. It's a new month, too!

I'm going to s2s and then head upstairs. I think my dh said he was doing something today but what's on the Google calendar isn't what he said he was doing, if that makes any sense at all. I can't get him to consistently use the calendar, unfortuantley.

I'm feeling fine this a.m.

I hit the ground running today.

I've done 2 loads of laundry and it's all put away. Dishwasher is 10 minutes away from finishing. I had enough space to put the lids from 4 decorative blue cornflower casserole dishes. (I have 3 huge ones on display on one of my flower racks in a kitchen window.)

I have started a large pot of cauliflower soup, it's been boiling for a while to cook the potatoes. After the potatoes are soft enough, the immersion blender goes into the veggies to make the "base" for the rest of the soup. I will add another can of white beans, more onion and single carrot. Then it can simmer for the rest of the day.

Dh has put my winter tires on, and done 2 oil changes for customers. His apprentice is here doing most of the work.

I will be washing some blankets after I hit submit. I also have to clear off my desk because it's that time of year when the ants come it. They haven't come in yet, but I really need to wipe the surface of the desk under all the paper.

Hello d lady - thank you for starting us!
it's a lovely fall day here - cold which still shocks me after having so many months of hot!

hi d twins! my dh won't use the calendar either - he has his own pocket version.
I am so happy your are feeling fine again!

hi d cathy
As you start your day running - may I wish a great day.
well done on all you have done already!

Hello d everyone!!!
I looked in the garage we cleaned - not perfect but good enough- it's wonderful.

dd younger is buying cloths (target is open!) for the man that is staying with them - he has been in the same cloths since the flood. she said that d mom and gentleman are both very needy. My mom is not emotional at all vs and emotional gentleman. both have dementia - he not so much but his ms affects him. God bless dd for dealing with it all. No electricity yet which means the shutters are still closed. They are truly blessed to be safe. The mayor has asked restaurants, that didn't get hurt, to stay open.

Goal: hopeful
pick pumpkins
put together leaf mulch-er

bulbs came in
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Good morning!

(((Dee))) Thank goodness everyone is all right! Cars can be replaced.

blessed, I think your DD will need a break once things settle down. God bless her for all she’s doing!

Glad you’re feeling better, Twins!

Cathy, we get ants in the spring. Never thought about somebody getting them in the fall. Now I’m imagining a bunch of migratory ants! You really have been busy!

Speaking of being busy, no wonder you were tired even without the steps yesterday, LadyM. Just because your running around was not on foot doesn’t mean it didn’t take a lot out of you. Thinking of your & your DH’s family essentially keeping vigil.

I overslept this morning. DH wakes naturally, which generally wakes me. Me, on my own, without an alarm, not so much. I’ve had breakfast, listened to my Saturday morning radio show, and had DD talk my ear off. Now it’s to the shower, so I can hit the ground running at the crack of noon! ;)

I am enjoying the cooler weather. We are in the 80's today which causes me to question if I need a sweater. So far, I have resisted the urge to add another layer of clothing and just let my body adjust to the cooler weather.

I pushed the lawn mower to collect grass clippings to compost in the raised beds. That activity has a bonus because it gave me 3k steps.

The group leader called this morning and said DD11 was being difficult and the leader was unsure how to handle it. I talked to DD11 on the phone and she is back on track now (hopefully). I don't know if someone raised their voice to DD11, but I do know that will cause DD11 to immediately react by curling into fetal position and withdraw. The way to get DD11 to response well is with a soft voice and encouraging words.

I have been updating October google calendar with activities from various sources. School activities, church activities, community activities and medical appointments create most of them. Now that google calendar is updated, I can use it to create/generate October spreadsheets

Soup is simmering. Dh declared it better than any cauliflower soup that he has ever made.

I have washed all of the blankets from the living room including the "Roseanne" afghan from the back of the wing chair. (Granny squares connected with black yarn all around.)

Bed has been remade and dh is currently holding it down as he checks his eyelids for light leaks. Zzz...

Dishwasher has been emptied. Desk is getting excavated. There were 4 separate paper piles avalanching into each other.

struggling with doing - I know what to do but not doing it.

I think I will do a 1 x 1 lol until I can momentum.

1. put the utensils in the dw, turn on - clean sink, clean counters - clean cpap - visual put away.
2. bring fall decorations upstairs
3. put away in family room
4. backyard:
A. water animals - birds
B. remove pumpkin plants
C. weed
D. dig holes for bulbs I have for tomorrow's planting
E. build leaf mulcher

ask dd older to help with bringing pumpkins in front
ask dd to grab the big bag of dog food that came in and put it in the garage (after filling the container).

add to do list:
buy card board boxes or garden bags to put over dirt in this area for next spring. (this week put it down).
buy another bag of pea gravel to curtail mud by fence.
it is always a joy to be here with you!
