Friday PWYC
It's Friday, be sure to come by the village and check in! The street are freshly swept and cleaned, the yards nicely manicured, and the sun is shining - always in our little village.

Re: Friday PWYC
We were out of the house until almost 11 last night and then I stayed up reading a while too. The musical was good - but overlong and loud. The music of the Temptations was wonderful tho and there was a lot of singing along. Talked with a couple sitting behind us - turned out he was the one black kid who integrated my elementary school when we were in the third grade I think. After all these years I still remember his name. Went to the same junior high school and high school but never knew each other. Different times for sure.
Today I have lectures/webinars that I'll watch upstairs. I might try to get in a little work in between and along with. I need to straighten up from last night - we left in a hurry to get there.

Re: Friday PWYC
We have our Thanksgiving long weekend with numerous fall fairs starting today. I'm not going to any because they are just too crowded for me.
Cleaning lady is here. Bed is made. I'm dressed. Dishes are completely done and there is a load of laundry going. Now I am going to sit and stitch until she leaves and then I need to go for groceries. Milk and cat food and whatever else I think I need.
Very windy and cold here today but the sun is shining. Leaves haven't really started to change yet, but they are flying off the trees.

Litter boxes never stop.
Paper never stops.

Re: Friday PWYC
Good morning! I always think of Lynnlee when I write that because she is going to bed instead of waking up.
I had a good long sleep (10 hours) but woke up feeling groggy and in need of coffee. FB says I spent most of my time in light sleep instead of deep/rem sleep. This is different from my normal sleep pattern.
We have our first Saturday without DMIL hair appointment. At the beginning of each month, we always get cash out of the bank to cover routine expenses. We have a stack of cash in an envelope set aside to pay DMIL weekly hair appts that won't be needed. There are so many little things that we won't be doing anymore.
We have a modified schedule & lifestyle now and it will take time to adjust. Everything we did for DMIL was done out of love and we chose to put her needs in front of ours. Now our schedule is more open, and we have time available to be filled with different options. I want to travel some and be more spontaneous. We do still have the kids and their activities that limit when that can happen, but they are mobile and can go with us or stay with friends.
Sooo...I find myself staring at today's blank calendar slots and wondering.....what do I want to do today? I am clueless.

(LM)
I have slept well again 3rd day in a row yea!
Symptoms continue to ease up yea! I am still on the mend however.
I have a meal plan or several...
mowing this weekend is on my mind for some exercise.
My dsis was bemoaning the fact that her dance class is on hold for a while I reminded her that moving wood is exercise!
She said she was going to get some, a lady relative was learning how to use her new chain saw and giving the wood to my sis.
I got a great idea for herb bread I added it to the roll on top!
Some crafting is out for me to do later on today.
-----
CI 9:00 a. m.
two loads going in the washer twins.
had bfast.
need to do bujo & planning
journal done.
s2s.
-----

On the menu /
Stuffed acorn squash
split pea soup with pork not ham.
Laundry is clean dry and folded most is put away now too!
Napped.
Make ahead majic meat balls are done & in the freezer.
Meatloaf is prepped for stuffed acorn squash this weekend. Yea!

Re: Friday PWYC
Good morning!
My thoughts are with Lord and LadyM. Hugs to you and your family.
I’ve got my work cut out for me and a serious case of the Idonwannas. I’ve been avoiding housework the past couple of days while DH has been gone, and it looks it.
My team is in the playoffs today! Nobody expected it at the beginning of the season — the Guardians are not only younger than the rest of the teams in the major leagues, but they’re also younger (average age of the players) than any of the AAA teams. At the beginning of the season, I thought we should be grateful if they got to .500, and they managed to win the division! Anyhow, since neither Cleveland nor Tampa Bay are large-market teams, they’re scheduled for a 12:07 game, so I may be cleaning with the game on the radio.
Need to be done by the time I have to pick DH up from school. Based on previous retreats, that’ll probably be around 2:30. I’m not sure whether to get the washer going, then get the dishwasher going while that runs or vice versa. Anyhow, I should start with one or the other, then sweep after I’ve done those.

Nancy - I'm glad you are feeling better and have a plan in place.
Mystery - would a TA-DA list help? No need to decide which task to do first, but just start with something and have the feedback feeling of accomplishment. I think that is what I need today. I'm struggling to make a plan so I will pivot to using a TA-DA of things I have accomplished.
Happy Thanksgiving Weekend for Canada SHE's. I read the history of Thanksgiving in Canada and the selection of the date. I found it interesting!

Re: Friday PWYC
One of my favorite parts of the day is checking in with all of you!
Happy thanksgiving weekend to our Canada she's!
d lady I am glad the suggestions yesterday made you smile after having some rough visitors. I loved d Kathryn's suggestions. It made me laugh and I am sure would make those people run!
I am thinking of you and your dear family!
you must have needed to shut down that you slept 10 hours. Hoping tonight you have a better sleep.
It takes time to get to a new schedule - you and your dh rose to the schedule you needed before. Extremely busy. It's hard to suddenly adapt plus dealing with grief. Take your time.
hello d mystery good morning
have fun listening to the game!
d Nancy. I am so happy your symptoms are beginning to ease and that you slept well!
the herb bread sounds wonderful!
d Cathy So happy you are being blessed by cleaning lady!
enjoy stitching!
happy thanksgiving weekend!
d twins
I hope you have a good day with your lectures and webinars.
thank you for starting us.

Re: Friday PWYC
Here I am somehow. If I turn off wyfi I get here thru cell data I guess.
I got one call out this morning to elect Co just for a heads up what their schedule looks like. Shortly thereafter a bunch of guys came and looked at our line and then they went away and did nothing. Neighbors gave up and left. DH went out for more gas. I don't understand the generator, so much effort and we get some outlets working but not enough power to run anything. Couldn't charge hearing aids or phone or run coffee pot. Sigh..... I know my limit now. 10 days.
I want to be one of those cheery optimistic people who deals easily with every situation. I. Want. To. Be.
Big clean of my bedroom. Getting smoke smell out. Relatives we're all smokers, smoked outside but I think it stayed on their clothes. Vacuumed and mopped.
I'm too tired to do the other 100 things that need done.
Having problems with my phone, things I don't understand and service is so poor.
Sorry I'm so whiny.
(LadyM) wish I could cope like you are doing.

Harmony— if ANYONE has a right to whine, it’s all of y’all in the hurricane area! Not that I took your comments as whining. Just stating the situation.
LadyM… continuing to keep you all in prayer as you find a new normal.
Happy Canadian Thanksgiving to all our Canadian SHEs!
I think I have caught the dgrands’ stomach virus. DS has it too. Neither of us is REALLY sick, just uncomfortable… and I’m sure neither of us will really be excited about taking dgrands to a birthday party tonight. But I’ll do it if he doesn’t want to; they are spending the night with us tonight and then will both be at other grandparents tomorrow night.
