I got quite a bit done, in fact, I'll go again. Got the CPAP stuff into cleaner, rings/earrings cleaned, made the bed, rebooted laundry, and folded a load and put away.

Realized I need lemon for salmon tonight and dh didn't take his phone with him. Ugh. I hate it because I always have some things to add when he goes early.

bw2, your cookies sound good!

Nancy, I need to get over to H & F and catch up. Right now I need to at least add my walks back.

Lucylee, you are rested somewhat from those weekends out of town, tho. I know you never really rest on weekends because you often have dgrands, so it's not like it's a high productivity time anyway when you do stay home. I'd be exhausted with your weekends away.

Dh got here with groceries so I stopped and had brunch. Restarting the timer to go to BOTH.

Coming back through, lots still to do this round. I may get outside and get pansies into planters. It's a perfect day for it.

Busy day here…

Got my morning routines done, cleaned my oven and then walked over…1.3 miles… to see my son and his kids. My ddil was out shopping with her mom. Spent 2 hours there, had a great time and then walked home.

Weather is great for walking…warm and sunny with a strong wind blowing. If all goes well I’ll walk another 2 miles with Sweetie tonight

Harmony and Dee… my mosquito mixture is working great. Sprayed around the door areas and then some and haven’t seen hide nor hare of them. None last night before we walked at dusk, none when we came home, none this morning and still none now.

Here’s the mixture 3/1. Three parts water one part vinegar. I used apple cider vinegar and added some of my sportsman insect repellent with 40% Deet. It comes in a pump type spray bottle. I poured some of it into my spray bootle mixture and so far so good. I’m impressed if truth be told. I used the repellent when I was working with the horses to keep the biting flies away.

I am making a list at the moment because I need to go to the grocery store. Once I get home I may sit outside and read

Waving to y’all.

Hello again
groceries put away

all self care is done!
I had a good laugh with both my girls.
My older daughter figured how much I spent on self care - basically nothing. They thought that was hysterical!

dd older and I had a nice long talk with dd younger. dd older is setting up dd Youngers budget on excel as well and they were discussing the categories.

For the November sister gathering: I set up the virtual zoom cooking class for both dd older and dd younger on Friday evening, November 4, 2023. This cooking class is for making Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry with Steamed Rice and Hot and Sour Soup with Tofu. They loved the last class that they did together.

for dd younger and myself I am thinking of her and I taking turns reading a chapter from the Christmas carol on FaceTime during December. Not dd olders or dh's thing.

okey dokey getting to work with out being pokey!

hello d rose! yay on your routines, work and walking and family time.
I can imagine you all having a time with mosquitos after all the water from the hurricane.

yay on your work as well d twins! can you borrow some lemon from a neighbor?
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Same here, Cathy -no wind!

Just went down and switched to LOL to the dryer twins. Came back and talked with dfriends down from us. Dh is winterizing them tomorrow and then they'll be off to his lady friend's (in Oswego) for a few days, a few days at his DD's in Colton, NY and then on to FL. She lives in Zephyrhills and he in Clermont. But they manage to spend a lot of time either at his place or hers. His former wife, (my BFF) passed away almost 3 years ago now. I really like this gal so I'm grateful for that.

We have a strange new bug around the campground that I've never seen before but oh are they swarming. But interestingly haven't seen any 'stink bugs' in a couple of weeks. Maybe the cold we had chased them into the ground, etc.

Think I'll start seeing what more I can pull out to pack AFTER I fold the 2 LOL and see what I need to pack from there. Doing the laundry so early in the week because dh is turning the water and propane off to the bathhouse and laundry room later today. Then all the water to the campground will be shut off 4-6pm on Tuesday. Then on Wednesday the maintenance crew (including him I think) will be blowing all the lines. It will take them all day and they have 2 big commercial compressors they'll bring in to do the job. Can't imagine next year -there were 49 new sites this year and next year there will be 100 more (rustic sites in the woods this time).

Guess it's time for me to turn on the timer for at least 15 (have to get LOL out at 3:45).

It's a warm afternoon here, 76 degrees and sunny. I got pansies and the ornamental kale in the planters by the front door, and into a big one and smaller one by the firepit. Putting off any more for another day. I have a large planter by the garage and a smaller pot by the firepit and I think that's it. I hate to pull up the asparagus fern when it still looks so good. So I'll leave that for another, cooler day. I got out the battery powered blower and blew off the porch and sidewalk some - not perfect but it got up the loose soil and leaves I dropped and things look tidy. Then I watered everything.

Earlier today I did my calendar for the week.

Dh went out for a drive in the convertible. He'll get a lemon for me while he's out too.

~~~Waving Hi to all~~~~~
I am thankful my energy bucket is staying fairly full, and boredom isn't a problem.
I was up late last night with DS14. I took DS14 to a DFriends home that was hosting a mudding event. It was my first time attending that sort of thing and it was WAY more fun than I expected. There were several hundred people in attendance, which I find fascinating since there was zero advertising and it was by word of mouth only.
This morning we went to early church and Sunday school.
I made BBQ pulled pork and mac & cheese for lunch today.
DD46 came to get DD11 to take her clothes shopping. DD46 asked if I would send money with DD11 to purchase clothes but I declined. If they find anything that DD11 likes, then I'll take DD11 on Tuesday night to purchase it. I'll also be taking DS14 on Tuesday to buy him some clothes too. I've talked to DD46 about only getting one child and leaving the other one, but she continues doing it. I'm going to have to decide if I will shut down her seeing DD11 if she is going to ignore DS14. Neither decision is a good one. I want to get feedback from the kids counselor about this.
I rode with DS14 to next town so he could wash his pickup. Then we went to four different stores trying to find the items I want to eat this week. I couldn't find everything so I will need to modify my menu plan a bit.
DH and I will be attending a 5pm event at church and then the evening service.
Both kids will leave in 2 hours to attend a 3 hour youth event in the city. They should be back home by 9pm.
hello!
it's been a beautiful day outside. My birch on the right Side in the back is alight with yellow leaves. I have a white bench* with a bunch of the pumpkins I grew on the seat. flanked by two big orange mums.
It's been breezy and warm all day!
I feel like my hard work I did this summer is showing.
*my bench I bought this year https://www.plowhearth.com/p/62A79
I have had a quiet but nice afternoon
I watched Monty Don's BBC gardeners world from this week as I went through all the magazines I had meant to read the last two months.
I have to check it will rain bc I have a bunch of leaves to shred and I don't want them wet.
I will be back to say hello.
dogs are sound asleep!!
it is always a joy to be here with you!
Very nice, Blessed! I was looking at the price. That led me to think about the benches DS-A had us buy in memory of our DGD when she died. DS built a beautiful memorial next to the playground at the elementary school in town. Those 2 benches ended up being over $1,500 :o but as far as I know they're still there. They finally had to bolt them down though because vandals were moving them elsewhere.
In the last 45 minutes I managed to take care of the 2 LOL and moved things around in our shower and the washer closet so there's more room for everything. Also got a bunch more of things packed. Got out paper goods because after tomorrow I won't be doing dishes very much. The water is being turned off Tuesday so we'll be 'dry camping' the rest of the week.
I keep finding myself worrying about dh. He definitely doesn't act real well. He's bemoaning the fact that he just can't seem to get things done around the RV that he usually does. For instance he always pulls all the flowers out of the berm (there's 6 or 7 levels). But that's ok as they are absolutely beautiful in spite of having some frosts.
