Thank you for checking in with us, Dee, with all you are doing. So much going on, but there's a doctor who sees how to help and a helper who's been taught what to do. Whew - grateful for medical pros.

Thank you, Harriet (and all the rest of you!)

Tomorrow we go back into one hospital so Dh can get his Covid test. Then we'll go for blood work. They want a baseline as this medication can be toxic to the liver, lungs and thyroid. So I'm imagining he'll have to have blood work somewhat routinely in FL. When we come back we plan to stop to see our DGD and DGGD for a few minutes at least. I have an angel to give her in memory of DShelley (her Mom) for the baby. Had planned to get together with them for a meal. Obviously not happening. Was also supposed to meet up with my DB and DSisiL and that is also not happening. We'll get through it all. Have to stop at the pharmacy to hopefully get this new medicine as well.

Now I'm going to bed and try to sleep. Dh is hoping for sleep as well. Talk to you tomorrow after we're through running around.
Begun is half done -SO! JUST BEGIN!!

Quickly jumping back in.

Had a fairly productive Saturday and picked up dgs from the wedding after dinner.

He stayed awake in the car (not expected because it is dark here by 6:45) and then wanted to play a bit. But he kept falling over because he was tired, so we had him in bed by 8:15. He went right off to sleep, as usual.

I wasn't too far behind him, just PUPA and an inventory of where stuff was in case of emergency.

He was up at 3:30 for a change and bottle, then slept until 7:30. I was up at 6:30 because my body was sore after 9 hours in bed.

We had a good day yesterday but he had a cough and I had a sore throat (turned out to be dryness) so we stayed home from church. Went to the park in the morning and walked to the bagel shop for snack after nap because the weather was glorious.

He slept only 2 hours of his 2 - 3 hour nap so I had him ready for bed by 8. He hates baths here but I tricked him by blowing bubbles at him while he sat in the tub (and dh did the washing.) He loves baths at home. On the other hand, he won't eat apple or rice at home and eats that here! (His parents never tell me what he eats because he tries everything once and changes his mind, obviously, given his mood!)

We were in bed before 10. At the 10:15 he woke up terribly unhappy. Dh tried to settle him but that didn't work so we went with diaper change and 1/2 bottle and he went back to sleep. That lasted until 5:30!

We treated that as middle of the night and gave him a full bottle and diaper change. He slept another 90 minutes but given I had 7 hours of semi-solid (except for a full bladder) sleep, I got up at 6:30 and had my tea and chocolate in peace. Dh got him at 7 and brought him into our bed and he had a great time burying his face in the soft waterbed and flopping over into the pillows and duvets. I came in 30 minutes later and 'broke the mood' but they had a good time together.

I took him home by 10:30 and ds and DC14 (PD day) came back shortly after. They left at 6 a.m. to winterize the trailer. She was not impressed. Then I dumped the rest of the babysitting on her (I had originally planned on being there while ds was off at his dental appointment, not knowing she was off school.) She took it with fairly good grace. Dgs would likely have slept for over half the time.

So I was home before 1:30 and started my heavy housework day. Only got a few things done, fresh sheets and towels and 2 loads of laundry plus watering plants and tidying up dgs' toys. He'll be back on Saturday so things are fully put away, the bin is still in front of the TV.

Today was municipal election day (we voted in advance polls) so I'll listen to the results while cleaning up the dinner dishes. I'll go to bed as early as I can but I'm also waiting on another load of laundry.

I'm just ci: quickly, because a load of laundry is waiting in the washer and getting more wrinkled by the minute...
BUT it is the last load of the day, and all our clothes are now clean. (Still have to hang a bunch to dry, but I can do that while watching The Good Doctor.)
(I don't hang clothes outside; no clothesline -- I do hang dh's pants on a wooden clothes rack and everything else on hangers that stay in the closet doors or the ironing board till I get ready to put them away -- which is often the next laundry day, LOL!)

I am trying to keep a TA-DA list along with my TO DO lists.
Today, aside from laundry,
I have been here for the bug lady to spray AND
I have ordered shampoo & conditioner from the C*lifornia B*by site.
I also have contacted Mc*fee because since installing their anti-virus stuff (about a month ago, when we realized we probably did have a virus) we now have TONS of pop-up ads, most of them telling us that our Mc*fee is expired, etc... and it is obvious these are not legitimate ads (and sometimes emails). I have deleted approximately 35 since I got on the computer a little while ago. And there will probably be 35 more in another hour. We NEVER used to get pop-ups like this.
:?: :?: Anyone have any suggestions?

Thank you for those who encouraged me during my pity party over the weekend. I really didn't expect to accomplish much on the free weekends, but I thought I'd feel better without the trips. Basically, I have to get ready for College Town weekends on Thursday, and then Fri/Sat is all involved with that, Sunday I still have dgrands usually, and then Monday I have to "recuperate." So instead of three days devoted to dgrands, I feel like it almost takes up 5 days when we're doing ballgames.
BUT... I've just got to readjust my thinking on this, realize that I truly AM doing "enough" to keep my family happy and that is really all that should matter... and time with these dgrands is probably the most important thing I could possibly put on my "to do" list.

Keeping Mr. & Mrs. Dee in my thoughts and prayers! Dh takes amiodorone, Dee. I don't know if that is the key to his progress or if it was all the ablation they performed five years ago, but he has not had a real episode of A-fib since then.

LadyM -- WTG on your individualized instruction with your two students! ;) You do so well with your dchildren!

Good luck with the order from China, blessed! I totally agree with you!!! They ought to be forced to say "ships from... " before you order. This is why dmom never got the Gunsmoke pj's I was so excited about for her Christmas present last year. I'm still disappointed, and I have not seen them ANYWHERE else. I can find t-shirts, but not the pants.

(((Harmony))) hope you get relief from the toothache soon!

I'm waving to EVERYONE ELSE!!! :D Must go check on that washing machine... it's not going to empty itself, is it?
Tomorrow is another day.
