In memory of Leslie Jordan, who was in my high school class. (Is that my claim to fame? No, beyond knowing his name I really didn't know him.)

So we'll hunker down with Dee and Mr. Dee, hoping to get them healthy and on the road to Florida soon.

I gotta get moving! Twelve thirty today for the friend coming here to go over research. I hope she's not disappointed.... I need to get through a.m. routine and have a little time for proofing.

I have the garbage and compost out. They both get picked up on Tuesdays, the compost every other week, the same week as the recycling pick up. On to rest of a.m. routine.

I saw on Facebook that either Dee or Mr. Dee didn't sleep much last night. Hoping for a peaceful day all around.

Lucy, I hate McAfee antivirus with a passion. It's slowed down my computers running its little scans. It came on the last computer I bought and I haven't renewed but still get pop ups because it's expired and they want my $$. You just can't get rid of it.

Good Morning!

Every morning I take a bath, I think of Kathryn discussion about bar soap. I keep meaning to respond but here it is days later.... I do use the soap bar completely by adding it to the new bar. When the new bar & sliver are both wet and stacked together, they will become one as they dry.

Today will be a long day.
** DD11 to public school. Done.
** DS14 homeschool. In progress.
** DS14 has found a pickup that he wants on marketplace. Ds14 is negotiating with the owner about trading for his pickup, a motorcycle and all the money he has. They are meeting this morning to look at each other's vehicles and discuss. DH is overseeing while DS14 does this negotiation and possible trade. DS14 has his $4K 2006 pickup that he has upgraded over the past 14 months. He is trying to trade for a $10k 1995 diesel pickup. DH and I just hope DS14 grows out of this desire to constant buy/sell/trade vehicles. On the good side....DS14 is learning lifeskills funded by his hard-earned money and it keeps him busy and out of trouble.
** DD11 has counselor appt at 6:30 in the city. I will pick DD11 up from school and take her clothes shopping before her appt. Somewhere in there we will also go out to eat.

I knew immediately that you were speaking of Leslie Jordan, Twins' Mom. Dd24 was very appreciative of him, making her smile during the at-home times without college friends. I fell asleep mentally composing a short tribute for him last night, using height and strength adjectives, ironic physically but not ironic for his talent. (smile)

When HRH gets off a phone call with the dentist business office people ( ) we are heading out to grocery.

Hoping Dove is getting a good visit from her dr this a.m. and hearing plans for heading to the house!

Thinking of Dee and her DH as well.

I have finished all my morning routines and colored my hair. Couldn't do it yesterday do to many interruptions and phone calls. The roofing fellow came over yesterday and we spent alot of time talking to him and asking about his roof repair process. The company is local and family owned and has over 300 five stars reviews so we feel pretty confident about his work.

As Harmony can a test to we get many scam artists after the storm promising the moon. The fellow that we talked with said he had just come from a customer that had problems with her roof. Told him another roofing company quoted her $65K to fix her roof. Our sales fellow went up on her roof to check the damage and said he could repair hers for $800. We are hearing this a lot.

After I finish here I still have a few things to do around the house and then I need to make some A mozon returns and stop at S ams to buy candy for this Saturday night.

LadyM... last night I made chili and corn bread for Sweetie and later this will be making some Baked Ziti. I on the other had had a beef pattie last night and will be eating fish tonight

LucyLee - I use AdBlocker to eliminate the pop ups and ads. You can use it for free, but I like it so much that I always choose to donate to them on each upgrade. Decades ago I used both McAfee and Norton (not on same pc) but became unhappy with them for many reasons. Window Defender is built in antivirus (Microsoft) that works well. None of them are perfect and each of the antivirus/malware software has its pro/cons.

I forgot to add that last night I noticed one mosquito and this morning when I checked they were back to hanging around my doors.

I made more of my mixture and treated all the areas again. Once the spray hits the mosquitos , they die. We'll see how things are later today, but I am please as to how well the spray works. I can live with spraying every three days or so if it keeps the mosquitos away!

DS14 is out of the negotiation for the pickup. The seller just received a cash offer, and the new buyer is driving from Texas to get the pickup. On a good side.....DS14 cleaned out his pickup well in preparation to show/sell it.

I have updated my meal plan for the day including eating out. Each day I tweak my plan a little and the food plan is gradually moving toward my goal of eating real food. The diet plan I'm working with now doesn't focus on things that are important to me. So I am following their rules while also including my efforts to include multiple selections of protein & vegetables to increase the micronutrients. Right now, I'm doing primary focus of the food plan of just paying attention to time/calories/protein but eventually I will return to micronutrient focus. It almost feels like a food puzzle trying to find a way to fulfill all the parameters. Yes, I am probably making it much harder than it needs to be, but apparently I like a challenge.

This is the sort of conversation dh and I have.

The railroad rail is on top of my next bullet journal, pressing the velcro firmly in place as the last step of creating next year's (Nov - Oct) bullet journal. I cut a pocket off jeans back in 2016 to make a pocket on the outside cover of my journal for my pens. I attached it with adhesive-backed velcro, setting up as 'proof of concept.'

I'm still using the same pocket, but it is reinforced now with a piece of plastic from a spinach container (or something similar) as it was losing it's shape with the weight of the pens.

Also, I spent time today, putting small boxes, stuffed with soft cloths, over the two speakers in the apartment as it is fire safety system testing this week and for many hours of the day, they play a soft beep along with background noise from the lobby. This allows them to poke their heads into apartments and confirm the speakers are working. But it also makes for very long days for people who can't tune out the noise. I'm one of those people so I have the noise muffled (now that my apartment has been checked) and am wearing earphones to distact me from that noise.

So far today, though, all I've accomplished is finishing up the bullet journal transfer. And s2s and empty the dishwasher.

I forgot my ADD meds yesterday and, I guess, took too much melatonin because I slept 8 hours solid, then went back to sleep for another 90 minutes of deep sleep. And am still tired.

I did remember my meds today but that might be helping me concentrate on the speaker noise instead of other things.

I still have heavy housework to do so will try and get some of that done. We leave for dh's appointment in 90 minutes. That will get us there an hour early but the parking garage is closed at the hospital so we have no idea how far we'll have to walk.
