Just Thursday PWYC

Post by Twins' Mom »

Looking for a theme for today, I can't get any farther than "Just Thursday." I'm kind of all over the place today!

Lol, Twins!

I'm no better.

I had another rough night's sleep (that'll teach me to drop my melatonin dose in half), and am sitting here fully dressed with a really cute fisherman's cap on my head and bright coloured earrings. I'm also wearing yesterday's clothes, right down to the underwear and socks because today is a shower day and I had an 8 a.m. errand and woke up when my 'get dressed for the errand' alarm went off at 7:30. This was after my 6:30 wake up alarm failed.

A beautiful day here. I unloaded the dishwasher and responded to an email before heading over to the other building to drop something off, then ran into the respondee in that lobby so had a chat, then delivered a parcel and a newspaper to friend upstairs, then someone on my floor respectively, taking the stairs up and down the two flights between floors. I had my tea and chocolate out on the balcony and finished Wordle in 4 guesses.

So I guess I should s2s after taking my vitamins and ADD meds.

I gotta get moving this morning. It's so hard to get up in the morning when it's still dark. I'm looking forward to the time change this weekend and waking up in the light. I feel like I am dragging.

And I am all.over.the.place.

Priority: To finish portfolio and submit three weeks from tomorrow.

Priority: Dh - although decisions are his and his alone. He needs an MRI next and that needs to be read by docs and then probably surgery scheduled. He wants to wait until after the first of the year and knock out our deductible for the year. We'll see. I'd rather, if he can, get it over with. We have a NY trip in six weeks so I don't know how that will play out.

I have a busy day today. Appointment for hearing aid follow up at Costco at eleven, and I need to find out what dh wants me to get there. He eats a lot of their keto stuff. I may just get the coffee that I know of and let him go back on the weekend. And I need to go to regular grocery store - ds is coming for dinner with us tonight.

Honestly, I can't keep my mind from being all over the place right now.

We saw friends last night at their house - she is getting around some after knee replacement but was pretty tired. It was great to see them, tho.

Before I leave around 10:30ish, I'm trying for:
-a.m. routine
-grocery list
-some laundry underway
-find out what dh wanted from Costco
-what else?

Making progress and heading out in a few minutes. Laundry going, breakfast underway. Cleaned CPAP stuff, rings and earrings, and mouthguard.

Just Thursday is perfect!!!!

It is hard to get up when its dark - I woke up early all my life. I used to love it but when the kids grew up then I had to come up with my own reasons to get up at 5 am - lol there weren't any.

d twins I am cheering you on as you finish your portfolio! I sometimes wonder if your accounting days of checks and balances rides over to your genealogy which is also about checking details and making sure things line up correctly. Your genealogy work is so interesting to me!

I hope, your busy day runs smooth and you get all that you want to do gets done.

hi d Kathryn

praying you get a much better sleep tonight!
It's been a beautiful fall here as well! I did love your pictures!!!
have a wonderful day too!

waving hello to all!!!!
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Transitioning Thursday for me!
Waving hello. I was up a bit later than normal could not get right to sleep so got up and did some things before bed.
Put more things away after repairs.
Moved the canisters back on the counter where they go.
I sent the neighbor with more southern food to cook up chili, corn bread mix,
some things I had cooked up biscuits and some of the pork and cabbage.

I did some writing realized I could do that for my writing Thurs. a bit early.
I am in the process of transitioning into new ones this week.
With the time change we are getting ready to transition back to standard time this weekend.

All that said I have only done one thing my a m Rx routine I had a good sleep and bs was a magical #112.
I am wearing a shirt that was to tight to wear comfortably before and now fits comfortably! Yea!

I have been introspective re my journey with you all and how I have come to living with what I can handle so that I can have a life I truly enjoy.
the last 10 years especially has been a time of tremendous growth. Eliminating mounds of visual clutter and sticking to learning one or two things a year well, has made life fun.

I sought to understand how I couldn't keep up with all the women I knew - it was always and times still that I think "how do other women do it". balance isn't easy for me.
Learning to work with the brain I have- took a long time. lol I still struggle with balance - I have a tendency to go all or nothing into one area instead of working a little bit here or there - I have to catch myself over and over when I find myself going down a rabbit hole instead of staying on the path.

Having less clutter has made my world so so much easier. Starting with Pam and Peggy, Ceo, all of you then Kat, minimal mom, dana, Dianne in Denmark I was able to dig out of the CHAOS!

I am so grateful that I figured out that I could have more with less. I found out my clutter threshold I can handle is extremely low.

I just want you to know how tremendously grateful I am for all of you.

I told you I was reflective today.

I just wanted to say thank you!

as my brain is all over the place I am going down the dreaded l@st

so far:
-emptied dw
-flip flop laundry
-dh fed dogs who are now in the bigger part of the yard
-landscaper has been here all ready - they took all of my left over candy, a 12 pack of corn I bought for covid as we still have other cans of corn - all good to 2024- I like fresh corn better. They also took the ramen soup. everything is gone. yay.
-pulled all the ingredients for tonights dinner. chicken, orzo, green olives, marinated artichokes, garlic, lemon, etc. I will tell you if it's any good.
-more laundry done
- another load of dishes done - it didn't fill it up but it's easier just to get it done.
-put away a few things
-updated list of outdoor work
-counters, stove sink cleaned
dressed s2s - not pretty but clean 8-)
- I put in a 14' x 3 ft wide gravel path (just for this year) from the patio to the inside gate. (dogs are so muddy). tamped it down.
-fixed the brick path.
-tossed things
-put tools away

I wanted to help neighbor pick up his leaves but he is almost done already!

I already pulled things together for making dinner - I really don't want to make dinner. ;)
