I'm not.

Dh leaves late this afternoon for the Netherlands for a week.

Dd and the two grands are coming over for the day, dinner, and then dgs6 is sleeping over. Dgd3.75 is not yet ready. "Maybe when I'm 4, or 6, or 10...." she says.

We got a new internet provider last week and my ability to print has disappeared (but I printed since the new network was installed, we just don't know how.) Plus, I don't have access to our backup drive so dh is working on those two problems now.

Printing can be solved via an USB stick or just taking my laptop to the other room and directly plugging in. Backup drive can't be solved that way.

I'm going to get dressed now and head over to dd's where we'll discuss what we are going to do as far as coming and going. I can't drive her and dgd back unless I pick up a car seat today from her. Regardless, I have to spend time turning around my car seat to front facing. I can hardly wait until the older two can go in booster seats but since dgs6 is so tiny, he can't yet. And for me to get to the point I don't have to flip my car seat around, I need both older kids in boosters. At that point, I can also take all three at once. The car seats we own between us don't work for three seats at once in my car.

Cleaning lady is here. I finished the dishes less than 5 minutes before she walked in. Bedroom was a breeze for the first time in months. I only had to move dh's pants from the dresser to the bed after I made the bed. I no longer have the clean laundry mountain on my end of the dresser.

Dh did his part this morning as usual. He cleaned the toilet. He always does that for me.

Dh has an appointment with a specialist this afternoon.

No idea what is for supper. I do know that I need to go grocery shopping after we leave the doctor's office.

Oh My Goodness!! Dsonil/dh arrived here about 9:30 this morning. They stayed in Orangeburg, SC on route 26 last night. They were both awake before 2am and finally decided to hit the road. Dh is now nicely settled in his recliner and I'm hoping he'll get a good sleep. Do have to wake him shortly to take the rest of his meds. Speaking of which I am greatly CONFUSED! He's been continuing as he was before he saw cardiologist on Monday. Now he's to stop taking the amiodarone and take a 25mg Metoprolol. That med at full strength has given him problems before so I will be watching carefully. Pray for me (us). So confused!!

Haven't told the 'guys' yet about all that went on across the street last night. Hoping to wait until dd gets home from school. That is, unless, someone from across the street, next door or the Sheriff's Dept shows up at the door. Then will have to impart that info.

I wasn't going to get up until after 8 but dd texted me around 7 to tell me and FYI that the guys were at the FL border at 5:22am! :o  So got up and got busy. Took care of some of what dh brought in and then closed the door so he can nap hopefully.

Thanks for starting us out Kathryn. I was up and went back to bed for awhile. I'm really hoping I feel livelier next week after the time changes here.

I need to get upstairs. I've piddled around a bit here - watered the rest of outside plants, pulled the plastic jack o lanterns off the front porch. I think we'll have scallops from the freezer for our dinner tonight.

Ds was here last night for supper with us, was good to see him. He chose a movie to watch with us, the old "Blazing Saddles," which he loved. It's pretty dated now, tho. I sent him home with leftover steak. He has three days off work because he's worked so many weekends lately.

Good Morning!

Kathryn - Thanks for the start today.

Dee - So thankful (and surprised!) your DH and DSil are home.

I have the feeling of being on a mini staycation. DS14 will be gone a couple of days which reduces my workload and food needed by half.

Today is the Methodist Bazaar and dinner. This is an annual event in our small town that hasn't happened the last 2 years due to c19. Before c19 I always looked forward to attending this event but now I'm hesitating. Before C19 I don't think I noticed how small the space the church basement is where the event is held. Now I am more aware of confined space and crowds, and I find that I'm not comfortable in that environment. I'm more of a wide-open space kind of gal. C19 has calmed down in our area, but flu and RSV are rampage. I'm weighing the pro/cons of attending. I have a lengthy list of pros but the confined space trumps them all.

Can't say as I blame you, Lady M. Find myself wearing my mask more and more. Definitely did on the plane down, especially with this cold. Now I think dd has caught it. Drat!

For some reason my BP seems to be running low -it was only 101/53 a while ago. Guess I'd better keep checking it a couple of times a day for a while to see what it does.

I'm slowly taking care of things whenever dh is awake/up.

I stumbled upon the fact that Strap Leaf Caladium plants are poisonous. Now I don't want to have them in the house growing near the food that I eat. The caladiums are beautiful plants to look at, but I'm not interested in growing them anymore. I have three pots of the caladium plants and have prepared them to transport with the goal of giving them away.

I pulled a couple steaks out of the freezer. Now I need to decide how to cook them. It is a rainy day so grilling them outside isn't an option.

waving hello -

I had a restless night - I couldn't fall asleep until 2 am and then woke for the bathroom 4 times ;) , 7 to call dd younger re: mom's eye dr. appointment, dd older woke me up to tell me she was heading out, and dogs went out at 5:00 - I am finally feeling awake at it's 11:49 am :D wow! 8-)

poor mom struggled with me re: appointments and her meds - she thinks she is making all her appointments and thinks the she is lucky that her she has her brain compared to others. She forgot her frustration with dd and I already.
I need to call the nurse to add one to two more days as it will help with her taking her meds without complaint.

d Kathryn hello - ready for the weekend. Nope 8-)
Your grandchildren are adorable!!!
I hope you are able to figure out the printer!

hi d cathy - yay on having the cleaning lady
I will think of your dh re: his appointment.

so happy your dh is home and nicely relaxing in his recliner! Praying!!!!!
I am so happy that you are with family again. wonderful!
praying your blood pressure goes to normal again. dd younger always has that as well.

hi d Nancy
great on your bs.
Hope you find what you want!

hi d twins waving at you!
so nice that you watched a movie with your ds!

hi d lady! I had t laugh when you said your ds being gone will reduce your food by half! I think of my dear nephews during that age. Always eating large amounts of food and being twigs. All that growing makes one hungry!

waving hello to everyone!!!!

time for me to be a productive citizen :D
it is always a joy to be here with you!
