so lovely to see you here d Dove!!!
I am so happy to see you healing each day!!! So happy to say hello to you!!!

I know playing Christmas music seems weird  but this is when I do all my prep and buying for the holidays.
I also give out the tips now as I know they need them for the holidays.
lol it's the only way I keep my mind focused.
I also joined a group where they are doing Christmas cards on the same day. :D :D :D
I loose focus anyway and when I am stressed out then I really don't have focus 8-)

hi d twins. praying the right decisions come your way without all the worry so that you can have restful night's sleep.
it sounds like you had quite an adventure!
praying the hard things aren't as hard as you think they are. Worry sometimes makes what we need to do harder than they should be as we look at things in a complicated way.

hi d Kathryn.
I am so sorry the time change hit you so hard.
I pray your sore throat goes away!!!
wow look at what you already accomplished!
hope you feel better once you rest or slow your pace.

hi d lady
cheering on your efforts as well today!!!
I hope you had a lovely visit.
I will be using your strategy of checking things off. I need that today.

hi d Nancy. yay on your outside work and your morning stretch.
it must have felt so nice to come into a clean kitchen after you worked on your soup.
waving to you

hi d dee. oh my - I am praying for him to feel better fast!!!
I am sure it's the worry more than the bed.
also you are allowed to get grouchy. I tell my kids to own the day when you feel grouchy - I relish it and accept it now - I find that accepting it helps my brain to deal with it instead of burying those feelings. lol I just give a warning - stay away!
yay on your laundry
hope you can get an appointment for your dh for a pedicure and for you to get a perm.
I hear you about not wanting to go to the store! I know some people find shopping fun - lol I am not in that group.

hello dear everyone!!!!
--------------------------------------------------
I am home from the store.
I have groceries to put away
dinner to prep
I already warned dd older what we are having and she is on her own if she doesn't like it - which is more than okay.
dh and I are having A-1 shepherds pie with bought pre-made mashed potatoes for the topping.
it is always a joy to be here with you!

The bed is remade with fresh sheets and the last load of laundry is on its way to the driver (but I still have one to fold and put away.)

I've had my breakfast.

I'm slowing down now but will try to vacuum and dust the bedroom wing and see if that gets me moving once more. If it doesn't, then I'll take a nap this afternoon.

LOL, Blessed, DD and I were just saying yesterday how much we hate shopping as we were on our way to Sam's. And boy was that a mess! But we did luck out when we checked out. For whatever reason the 'waters parted' and we were only 3rd in line in our row. Every other line was way back into the store. I kept looking to make sure I didn't cut in front of anybody. But not. Somebody did finally fall in line behind us. Strange! It was self-checkout but at that point we did not care. We usually avoid that.

Dh was just saying he couldn't fly because he still doesn't have his passport. I went online and it says "should arrive by November 13th). Of course that arrival means in our post office up home and then it has to be forwarded which will take nearly another week! But dd says she looked it up and says the passport rule doesn't take effect until next May? Hope she's right and maybe we can get him booked sooner. That still doesn't answer the question of where he'll be able to stay. Says he doesn't feel comfortable staying with either of our DSs. There's more physical reasons for that. Know our dneighbor (from camp) has offered for him to go there but it could be as long as a month or longer. Need praying on this for sure.

Took me a while to understand what Dee and dd were saying about May deadline.

Here is an article from the other day.

Have visited my colorist.

Lining up laundry loads for the rest of the day. Will follow Kathryn getting fresh sheets on bed.

Need to do some Desk Day. Have already been working on it with HRH. Dreaded emailing upcoming.

oh my gosh I just loved this!!! Nothing better than having the waters parted!!! I laughed so hard reading this.

waving to everyone. HELLO d Harriet

I had to deal with d mom calling d brother about me setting up a cleaning company. I always feel like my mom is tattling on me. We had all met last week and decided mom needed a cleaning person and she had told dd older that she agreed. today oh she was not happy.
I am ok being the thing she can let her frustration out on rather than every body else. it doesn't bother me bc I am not that young kid/adult anymore and Understand more.

Hi. I'm typing with a little bed glove (soft and fuzzy and thick) glove on my right hand. Trying to keep the salve on my finger.

I will have to find another article to find what the passport / travel thing is all about. I thought we were set because we have the drivers license with the special emblem on. Our requirements for that were that we produced our birth certificates, and evidence that we live where we say we do and our name is correct (marriage license for me) and a deed to this property stating the address. Is it more requirement than that now? I started to read the article but the pay wall stopped me.

I am frustrated. Every time I ask DH to do something he does it another way or won't do it at all because "that's a stupid way / thing to do." He's not used to me asking him to help with stuff, I usually don't, I figure out a way to do things myself. I'm trying not to use this finger. Cooking with him was a nightmare. I have been doing these things in the house all my adult life. I know what works and what doesn't. If he was building something I would not try to tell him how to do stuff. How come this doesn't work both ways?

Sigh... working on laundry today. Tried to do a throw rug but couldn't wring it out and too heavy for the washer... still more stuff because of those 2 black cats being here.

I got 2 LOL done anyway and that rug which will take a long while to dry. Last night I made sure all the laundry was folded and put away...because I knew I'd be starting over with new batches today. Shouldn't have taken me all this time to get it all put away. Oh well, not having the best day here.

We were going to clean out one corner of the shop since he no longer has that big tarp back there. (it's on the neighbor's house / roof right now and he bought it from us). So he looked at everything and decided to just sweep it out...so nothing is getting tossed. I just feel like giving up.

Kathryn, hope you feel better.
Dove, nice to have you here. I'm glad you are recovering.
Dee, take it easy for a while if you can. Stress and worry are not good for us either.

OK, I looked at requirements to fly, and it is that we have a REAL ID...which for the state of Florida is our enhanced Drivers License. Dee, if you check on this, see if your state drivers license has the REAL ID mark on it. There are places to see if NY state licenses are compliant with the requirements. Our state here is, I'm not sure about yours. If yours is compliant, you guys will not need passports for domestic travels. Sorry I don't have any easy links to share...

Dee, I think your dh only needs the drivers license to fly right now. The requirement for the enhanced license goes into effect in May. It got pushed back several times during the pandemic. That is, unless I'm misunderstanding.

I made progress on dealing with one of the knotty issues.

Twins, you may be right about that. I didn't check for a date requirement. I figured by now all the people would have upgraded their drivers licenses along with their renewal. Our state will not renew a regular license, they are ALL enhanced with the REAL ID. I know not all states are up with all that stuff yet. I had produced all the documents very early in the game, but had to do it all over again because FL didn't have the emblem on the license yet...so I had to do it twice!

Good news - I hope - I have an appointment with a dentist tomorrow afternoon. Somebody recommended this guy and I looked him up and didn't see any bad reports. Crossing my fingers... I was up a long while last night several times as my tooth was acting up.

I took a long break with a crackers and peanut butter snack.

Now to damp mop the floors and when they are drying, I'll vacuum the living/dining rooms. Still have to dust but that's less physical.

I might just get all my housework done today after all.
