spoke to people that would come over and we may have a solution - I will know by the end of the next week. keeping fingers crossed - they have a Norwegian woman who also cleans houses. wrapped as much as I could but ran out of paper.
I found a whole in my Christmas shopping that I will take care of this week. I checked my closet and realize I didn't get one gift.
I am tickled that I got the paper whites planted and the one plant repotted.
I ordered rose hips for the holidays. Next year I will grow the rose that has beautiful rose hips.
I have to run a couple errands tomorrow and I don't want to but it is better just to get it done.
dh -" I'll mail those xmas cards tomorrow" - I told him it's amazing that he always wants to take care of my stuff before his own. he laughed. He mentioned that he forgets and that's why he said he would take them - lol I know that's not it.
when comes to gifts, food that I make etc. he always wants to be the one who brings them in. (it's a funny thing - he likes being the man of the hour-even if I do all the work
Yesterday he was about to tell me about lingonberries - as if we had never had lingonberries before. He worried me a bit - he used to work at a Swedish grocery store in town as a teen and in his young 20's - my brother and d friends worked there too. he felt I didn't know what it was that I bought.
- He forgot that we have them every year (he doesn't like them). with Swedish pancakes or with Swedish meatballs or Swedish rye. We used to go to door county all the time bc my dmom had a place there. Mom was friends with Ingert and Al Johnson in sister bay who had a wonderful restaurant now run by their children. Al's been gone for a long time now. At Al Johnson's Every day they let the goats on the roof (summer) to keep the grass down and the tourists love it! . -yep it has a grass roof. They serve lingonberries with lots of things. wonderful memories. https://aljohnsons.com
