Here I am, Twins. First wasn't able to get into our site. Not sure when it finally did come back up. Sure Kathryn had a lot to do with that happening. Thank you. At any rate I've been very busy with dh. He's not been doing very well. He has a call in to his Dr up home right now. He's been in a lot of pain and a lot of trouble w/constipation. He thinks his Diverticulitis is raising havoc big time. I had announced at 4am that we were going to the hospital. He's trying to avoid that at all costs. Think maybe because his last experience up home was one of lying on a gurney for 4 days with such horrible back pain, etc. He was in the hospital this last time for over 4 days. He then went back to stay with our friends, to our cardiologist on last Wednesday, the 21st and flew back here the next day, the 22nd. Luckily got out of Rochester before the big storm.

He finally finished his med regimen for the H Pylori infection Tuesday night so that eliminated a lot of pills each day (16). Had those for 2 weeks plus many other changes to meds. Today he's really doing pretty badly. So weak, etc. He's been over to see his DB for a short time on a couple of days or so. DS-A ended up driving down from Rochester last Saturday and got here at 2am Christmas morning. DDIL's uncle (and dog) have been here every day though he's spending nights at a downtown hotel. He's bought quite a few things for here. (DD says she doesn't feel a bit bad -he earns over 6 figures and has over 7 figures in investments. So, yeah, not to feel bad. In fact he paid cash yesterday for a new 5th wheel.) That would have been nice this week for his dog as we've been dog-sitting whenever he's gone places with all the dks/dgks.

I am completely exhausted and have been in tears more often than not. I haven't gotten more than 16 hours in the last week. Feel a little better today and have gotten our laundry done over the last 2 days. Think everyone else can manage dinner tonight -TACOS. DD has her fun job in Tampa tonight then again Saturday night. They all went last night as she had free tickets and didn't work. They're all going again Saturday night.

DS-A has been taking DGS10 to south of Tampa to practice with a Jr Lightning team. Think they've gone twice. Think tonight he's doing skate and shoot at the local rink. Know the Jr team has asked him to join them in a competition in Nashville in March. Remains to be seen if he'll take them up on it. He is a good player, especially knowing he's only 10.

DD & DS-A and crew all went for an Airboat ride in Lake Wales yesterday or Tuesday -can't remember. They loved it. Tomorrow since we gave the 4 of them Legoland tickets for Christmas, they're all going to Legoland. DD can go free as a teacher.

Taking dh's BP right now. Keep waiting for the Dr's office to call. I half expect we'll be going to ER again. Kinda waiting for DS-A to get back here (he's an EMT).

Dee..so sorry your dh is having such a difficult time. ER sounds good to me so you can have fresh eyes on him. Plus it wouldn’t be a bad idea for him to have a local dr to work with. I tried doing long distance with my pediatrician when my son was small because I loved and trusted him. We managed several difficult storms together, but eventually realized I couldn’t keep doing that and needed someone local.

I lived outside of Nashville and looking for a new pediatrician I could trust was nerve wracking and overwhelming. Fortunately one of my best friends grew up in Nashville and her dad was a very well known dr for the town so I figured the pediatrician she used had to be good.

She shared with me the group she used for her boys so even though the were 35 minutes away from me, that’s who I used. Loved the new Dr. Then my son was bitten twice at the same time by a black widow spider.. He was 2.5 at the time. We were taken by ambulance to Vanderbilt Hospital. My dr was not on call but one of the drs from that group was. Because of the groups reputation I had confidence in him. Turned out to be a life lesson to the dr, the heads of several depts and all the interns of the hospital and my son and I ended up being featured in the Nashville’s newspaper.

I thanked my friend many times over for sending me to this group.

I hope you can find some help for your dh and that in turn will help you. Know we all wish we could be there with you to help.

I'm still plugging away. It is slow going but progress is progress.

Blessed, my report on the china cabinet is on page 1. I like the way it looks. I took a picture and sent it to XDSiL and he said it looks awesome. The mugs came in a white wood 3-sided container which makes a shelf at the top too because my shelves are high. It was part of a big box of every kind of Christmas goodie one can imagine.

And I believe one post of mine that was lost was about how Santa had already come here and left a big box of Omah a Steaks...addressed to me but without a return label, so I have no idea who sent it. A couple days later Sunny reported that she received the same box of steaks. So, we have 2 choices for who might have sent to us...and we've pretty much figured out who it might have been. I'm contemplating how to thank him, in case it wasn't really him....

So, I've cleaned out my purse, put some appointments on my calendar and got really confused because I found another card and appointment for same doctor a couple months before that... but my yellow highlighter alerted me that this 2nd one was DH's...because my appointments are colored pink! The drs. do not write our names on them. We both use the same dermatologist!

I've sorted a drawer, and a space on top of that piece of 'furniture' with a dresser tray, and ordered an Rx and squeezed out the last bit of stuff and threw the tube away. I'm slowly getting organized. Sorted mail, walked out to the recycle bin twice. 1 LOL ready to hang up. I rearranged DH's drawer so his new package of stuff from Christmas will fit.

(Dee) glad to hear from you, wish your DH was doing better. It would be really good if you had a good dr. down here that you trusted for yourself and for him. I hope you get some help for him soon.

Echoing RR, Dee. Glad you checked in. My mind starts working overtime when I see you around.

Back from grocery and Goodwill drop off.

This a.m. big rocks:
-floors
-make lasagna sauce
-see if I can find ingredients for dh cake
-dog socialization this evening?

smaller rocks that are OMM
-finish weekly cleaning
-goodwill
-recycle drop off: glass

So next up it's lasagne sauce, and straightening up where I've left a mess while cleaning. During the pandemic, I figured out that everything looks so good when dcleaning lady is done because everything is put away before she comes, and she put chairs back where they belong and leaves a room looking neat. So I'm endeavoring to do that in as many rooms as possible. Of course, I'll be making a mess making lasagna in the kitchen along the way too. (BTW, part of the mess on the kitchen table is stuff I stashed in the laundry room after construction. But I'm thrilled every time I walk by the laundry room!!

We'll have leftover chili for our own supper since I'll be cooking something else. And I'm going to dfriend M's for a glass of wine at 5 p.m. Her dh is away.

I'm here. Spent most of the day in bed reading. I'm making dh a can of pea soup for supper and then he requested some Jamaican Patties, so there are 3 heating up in the oven. I don't know what to make for myself. I think a peanut butter and jam sandwich will work.

I did finally get a GP for dh the other day but his first appointment isn't until January 10th. Been getting all his latest test results and records from the Cardiologist and the Rochester hospital together. Figure if I don't have to use them for ER at least they'll be together for this new Dr. Hoping he'll be someone we both like, etc. Reviews all look very promising. One of the road blocks I kept encountering was if I found someone that sounded/seemed good they were with W atson C linic and our insurance doesn't have them as 'In network'.

DS-A and family I'm assuming are at the hockey rink here in Lakeland so DGS10 could go to "Skate and Shoot". I was going to get things out for TACOS but I'm almost assuming they will all eat before they come back here. I can hope so -it would be an easy night for all of us. Dh isn't feeling like eating much. Actually have given him A ctivia peach yogurt. He finds he really likes that. And DS would know that DD won't be here as she's at her 'fun job' in Tampa. She's readily admitted that when she goes back to school next Monday she'll really need a vacation!! One good thing is Monday is a 'teacher work day' and Tuesday is conferences during the day. Students don't come back until Wednesday. So at least teachers will have a couple days of getting back in the swing.

After getting my tasks done for the day (at least all I was going to do) I sat down to read. Kept falling asleep and Fitbit says I got 2 hours/20 minutes. Sure needed it. Think now I'll go fix myself something.

DS-R called earlier. He (and several other Town Highway Dept employees) have gone to help clean out Buffalo. Knew he was there yesterday. Said he left Spencerport at 4am today and got home from there yesterday about 7:30pm. He's coughing and sniffling, etc. Tried to get an earlier flight down here to be able to see DBIL but with the 1,000's trying to rebook (Buffalo airport was closed from the weekend through at least yesterday afternoon BTW) etc he couldn't really change his flight from January 4th. He could have gone this coming Monday but that was another $500 one way. So left it at Wednesday. Dh didn't even broach the subject of going to see his DB today. He was just too sick. For whatever reason he never has heard back from the Dr's office today and that's plain unusual. Wondering if the Dr even got his message from this morning. See how he is tonight. Nice thing is DS-A will be back and he is an EMT and can probably judge better than even us.

Hey, ya'll!

First, thank you Twins' for answering in advance the question I've had for hours today while away... .. has Dee been heard from.

And then thank you Dee because we heard from you.

I agree with Twins' about mind working overtime to see you around because my prayer is for Mr. DeeClutter to get to see med folks who give him great care, smart answers and reassurance. I am very pleased to hear so many meds (16) can now leave his list and his body, with the H Pylori battle over. I'm convinced this will be relief from some concerns and allow more normal reaction to daily life and recovery. Goodness gracious, over decades he's been through lots of things and prevailed to become a near-powerhouse hard worker in even recent years, to the point we've worried "aloud" about him here! :) Many the time I've thought, gee, we may need to slow Mr. DeeClutter down, he's so active! (smile)

The visit yesterday was kinda a downer for me, although HRH's stepmother (Mrs. Joe) was as nice as always and the young teen granddaughter was a joy. She could be considered HRH's niece, although not classically so, and we haven't seen her in a long time - he just enjoyed her so much. But her aunt who drove is, IMO, a manipulative person who is somehow always trying to get an upper hand of some kind, making conversation edgy.

I am of two minds regarding the more difficult lady. She was, at the same time, very prying and very complimentary. I've never had so many compliments on my needlework around the house, for instance, and she seemed quite sincere. But I found myself in a conversational jousting match with her as well, as she tried to be clever in getting us to tell more than we normally would about our life. She was exhausting.

So glad I was caught up with chores around the house, because indeed Mrs. Joe needed to feel confident. She has recently started using a rolling walker with a seat and just navigating hallways is hard enough - she didn't need clutter obstacles!

Harmony, you're not being fair! Don't compare your lovely home to one that is being staged for sale. So what if theirs looks good - theirs is literally in the business of looking good. :)

We ended up making TACOS for dinner after all. None of the 'crew' had eaten dinner yet. Dh had watermelon and peach yogurt. I made one package of hamburg and thought it would be enough. Dsonil didn't come in right away and unbeknownst to us, DGS10 finished up the hamburg. So quickly thawed the hamburg and cooked it. Luckily had another packet of TACO seasoning. I could have cooked both of them earlier but didn't figure we'd need it. So now Dsonil is happily eating and I won't be surprised if this batch disappears as well. I may go take care of it all once he's done. Think everyone has had enough.

Watching the Tampa Bay hockey game off and on. Dh must be in the bathroom. Think we're heading for bed before long.

DS and crew are playing a family game. Think DDIL's uncle is headed back to Palm Beach tomorrow so that will cut down on some of the chaos.

Dh's compression sock aid came today. We'll try it tomorrow for him. Hopefully I bought the right one. I also had ordered him 4 pairs of diabetic compression stockings which I think might be a little larger. At any rate I may order him some larger ones if I can.
