We've crossed over the midweek and are on the through line that takes us into our weekends.

What are you doing today that continues to make this a successful week?

I had a successful day day yesterday. We ended up going out to eat with friends - dh literally called me 10 min after scallops were thawing in refrigerator so they went back to freezer and we went out. I walked a couple of laps with dfriend M and dogs and had a scare when dMillie took off. I had her sit at the door and I took off her leash before going inside at home, and she shot off the porch. Dfriend M helped me corral her when she circled back toward home, but my adrenaline was pumping! So I ended up with 11K steps yesterday and didn't have to cook dinner.

This morning, I'm working through a.m. routine, I haven't had breakfast yet but ddog is walked.

Dh left on a three day trip this morning. Basically two days driving and one day there. The trip is to let his future biz partner (hopefully) meet one of his major clients. This client was one of dh's original clients from the beginning and now dh has accounts for cousins, children, sister, nephews, so he's trying to ensure that they stay in his book of biz.

thank you d Harriet for starting us today! What a great question! I wish you a blessed day!

hello d twins - so happy you had a successful day! I hope today is as wonderful!
enjoy your time!

today (for now - I am realistic but optimistic) I am looking to work on visual clutter and daily routine. I am feeling a bit cold like again.

positive goals:

shower
meds
Trash find - put trash out for garbage collecting tomorrow. after all this I have decided to buy another garbage container. no more bags on the side of the bin.
put away will take most of the work

I have cleaning ladies coming but I have to make room for them to clean - how in the world did everything I own pop out of their shelves. I have a theory that is similar to "while the cat's away the mice will play". My theory - is that while I am sick or away - our items have a party. When I come in the house again the items just drop where they were - just like in toy story. I am going with that.

dd younger is going to spend time with dh. He is considered off of covid standards; as the 10th day of covid was yesterday. They are still following isolation protocol while he has pneumonia. I am not sure of dd younger going there. I want to protect her - I want her to wear a mask where ever she goes but that's not a thing I can mention - I suggested though (once 8-) )

first things first:
come here and say hello! Wishing you a wonderful day! :D
it is always a joy to be here with you!

Morning ….

Twins is free at last.. at least for two more days!

I’m back from my exercise class. While masking my second cup of coffee, I started my first load of laundry. Now taking my vitamins while I drink my coffee. They go down easier when I take them with some warm liquid.

I have plenty to do around the house today. First is to pick up and find homes for the things I bought yesterday. Gonna remove my striped clown shower curtain and try a different on I bought. The new note books that I ordered came last night so I’m really want to focus on my office. Plus I have several things I need to do on my computer.

Got my music on … I bought 3 way light bulbs yesterday, boy are they getting hard to find. Most all my lamps use them and I need a bright light to read due to my macular degeneration

All my morning routines were done before I left for class. Trying to establish new morning ones starting with laying out my clothes for class the night before and making my bed while my coffee is being made. I am still hand washing my dinner dishes at night. Some times they sit in the drainer to dry and I don’t get to them till the morning, so I’ve added that to my morning routines. Also limiting my social media time till after I finish the first part of my routines before I leave for class.

I used to be an early morning riser, but I tend to have a hard time getting up in the winter when it’s dark and my bed is cozy. Working on changing that during the week day. Sometimes it’s difficult but I like the results. Can’t always make the bed when I first get in it, cause Sweetie is still in it :D

Harriet - Thanks for the start and question to encourage us.
What are you doing today that continues to make this a successful week?
Following my hourly plan keeps me moving forward. I'm not perfect at following it but am consistently making progress.

Last night DS14 worked on today's homeschool assignments so he is almost finished. I found a beginner motorcycle class for DS14 to attend at vo-tech next month, so I am going to pursue signing him up for it.

DD11 has appt with counselor at 5:30 tonight so we will head to the city after I pick her up from school. DD11 will pick a place for us to eat together before her appt. DH and DS14 will team up for a meal together while "us girls" are out on the town tonight.

I have decided to end my "No Spend on Food" January challenge. I was seeking pantry/freezer information and have broadened my understanding of our food selection and stocking process. I am ready to take this information and use it to improve our food inventory process. Also, I have rediscovered how important it is to share meals with our family/friends. Anything that has a negative effect on these bonds is not something that I want to continue doing.

I'm upstairs at my desk, but we have a tornado watch which only means that conditions are right for the formation of tornados. When/if weather gets bad I'll head downstairs, I think it's safer in bad weather conditions. After ddig freaking out over fireworks on New Year's Eve, I'm surprised that she's good with thunder. She's sleeping on the day bed up here and looks very comfortable.

I had a delightful day with dgs yesterday (he's still sick but less cuddly so feeling a bit better.)

I napped for a good 30 minutes during his 90 minute nap and got a bill paid.

Then I 'crashed' for the evening.

Today I'm near useless but I'm dressed and have had breakfast. Need to flip a load of laundry.

I'm working on changing passwords. It is very slow. If I find an account I no longer want, I still have to change the password or try and find the delete account option. That isn't easy so it is taking at least 10 minutes an account instead of the 2 I was hoping for.

This afternoon is dh's appointment with the cardiologist. I think I'm bracing for that.

As well TG is planning dgs' 2nd birthday party (to be held here.) She can keep it to 30 if she splits their adult friends off and does something with them another time. I'm agog. Big parties like this are not our family's style!

Good morning. Feeling better today after being sick for several days. Took my first home Covid test; was negative. Still very fatigued & sleeping a lot, but grateful to be improving every day. At the beginning of the month I suggested to dh that we wear masks in stores when running errands to avoid cold, flu and/or covid germs, but he didn't want to. I figured if he got sick I would too because of my exposure to him so I didn't wear one either. So far dh is fine but for the rest of the winter I'll go back to wearing a mask when around other people. Don't like to feel this crummy & lose so many days because of that.

Thinking of ((Dee & Mr Dee)) & ((Blessed & dh)) often.

Will have Campbells Chicken & Stars soup for lunch, a childhood favorite.

Waving ~~~~ to all.

d Kathryn so nice that you had a lovely time with dgs! hope he feels better fast! I can't believe your dgs is 2 soon!
yay on s2s and doing laundry

hi d twins yay for desk work
praying there aren't any tornadoes

hi d lady
I am working with your hourly plan today! consistently does lead to progress!
I am thinking of going back to canning for my winter food again - it's been years. I have never had a pressure canner and only did water bath foods but I want to do that especially for my chicken stock etc.
I understand about not eating together - it does make a difference. I wish I would have made dh eat dinner with us when the kids were growing up. I grew up with my dad eating in the dining room and we ate earlier but only ate on Sundays w dad. It's not a good thing.

cheering you on through your day d rose!

d twins and d harriet - hope your day is going beautifully.

hi d dove. I am glad you are feeling better! yay on the negative test!!! Our family have nurses in it and they are all back to wearing masks as covid is hitting a lot of people again. Many people are not getting their boosters.

enjoy your lunch and feel better d dove!

I am going to call dh's nurse to check in on him.

dd younger worked on her computer (for work) until 3 am and is sleeping now.
it is always a joy to be here with you!
