I need to be upstairs by ten for a review of homework last night. All was routine except for a problem he gave last last that was a demonstration of how a survey might be misrecorded by entering it in reverse order of how the surveyor walked. I didn't do all the hand platting - it was fiddly and I kept losing my protractor and ruler against the dark desk pad. I need to find my good eraser if I hand plat too.

Woke up with an achy back - probably not a surprise given how long I sat yesterday. I'll take my back stretching thing upstairs. It's similar to this, although wasn't as expensive, as I remember. https://www.amazon.com/North-American-H ... B001G6ZRF0 Ddog was not happy with my desk presence yesterday and barked at me in the afternoon and evening for attention. I finally banned her from upstairs after dh was home.

More of the same today. This is really a deep dive into this. The map course I took last year was excellent but I felt I didn't retain much because I didn't use it immediately - this time I need to put it to use.

I have decided I am not going to push for my step goal this week - between the webinar and not feeling great it's better that I don't. And the COVID test last night was negative - I'll test again tonight, tho. The trainer was out sick last Tuesday and said doc tested then for COVID, flu, and strep and he was negative for all then - yet he was COVID positive on Friday. I think dh is torn up about quarantining himself if I do have COVID - he hates to be out of the office although he can work from home too.

We have a heavy frost this morning although it's only 29. I could see it sparkling on the grass last night when I took ddog out before bedtime. I was so tired and because of COVID testing and taking ddog out, dh was in bed before I was.

Morning…

Back from class and drinking my first up of coffee. Morning routine almost done.

Hurray I finally got my office done!!! Took longer than I expected, but I am happy with the results. I still need to do my grocery run and the fellows that did the lanai will be here today to finish up.

In the meantime i have some planting to do in one of my small pots. There’s a huge bush/tree that grows next to the door leading into my exercise class that I love. I have no idea what it is but it grows these amazing flowers that open up like huge lilies. Inside the flower are seeds that look like balls the size of walnuts.

I’ve been thinking about taking the seed to see if I could grow the plant so this morning when I saw some seeds on the ground I reached down to pick them up. Guess what? The seeds had already reseeded themselves and had roots growing into the grown. I brought two home with roots that at 1-2 inches long and am going to pot them today. I am excited to see what will happen.

Need to make a grocery list and then head to the store. Fred also needs his home cleaned.

BBL.. see y’all then

~~~waving Hello to everyone~~~~
Since we have no school, DS14 is taking his best friend to work with him today. These two 14 year olds being together at the work site will either go great or awful. It is a good thing DS14 boss has the patience of Job.
One of the tasks in my 6am time slot is deciding "What will I cook today?" I can't mark that hour time block complete because I don't have an answer yet. hum....
I am excited to see what will happen.
Me too!
This excitement seems to be never ending for me. I am continually looking forward to seeing what happens next with plants. I am currently making decisions about what vegetables/flower/herbs to plant in each of the raised beds. After the decision is made the I am gathering the seeds and putting them into gallon Ziplock marked with the raised bed number. This allows me to visually see what seeds I have on hand or need to obtain. Also it shows what vegetables/herbs/flowers haven't been assigned a planting place.
Cooking decisions finally made and prep started. On the menu for the family today =- Bacon wrapped chicken tenderloins, Chicken & pasta casserole, and mixed green salad. I know these don't go together but I have some leftovers to use & I need multiple main dishes since snow day means more meals/mouths to feed.
Two rooms have been given attention, so I have caught up and am back on track with my hourly schedule.
Ramblin' I bet a long-time resident would recognize the bush and be able to tell you?
Hope your testing sticks that way, Twins'.
Looking around for Dee and blessed and hoping they have had encouraging news for their dhs.
Mystery, wow, you spent so much time waiting! Frustrating.
Errand Day done, to ATM, interior bank, interior pharmacy 1 for both ins info and pick-up.
Good morning. I am taking it easy this morning. I have done most of my morning chores. Unloaded dishwasher...which I haven't been using, but I was too tired last evening to wash yesterday's dishes... on days like yesterday I am so grateful for my dishwasher. I can load it up and turn it on instead of just leaving everything all over the counter or in the sink for the next day. I've been hand washing everything several times a day, though I only put clean dishes away a couple times a day, and always the next morning so I can start out with an empty drainer.
DH was having a hard night, muscles all cramping multiple times during the evening, night, so he was up a lot eating his mustard. I took an otc pain reliever. Thinking I need one right now, I am very stiff and sore.
The ladder work wasn't that bad, it was just the up and down every time we had to move the ladder. I'd go up and reach out to the left and the right doing as much as I could reach. Then down and we'd move it and up I'd go again. My arms and shoulders are sore from all the reaching out to scrape all the stones out. I've put fresh salves on all my boo-boo's. The tall step ladder is 7 steps up and I lost track of how many steps the extension ladder is. I don't like that one, I was standing on round rungs instead of the flat pieces on the step ladder. A bit hard on the feet.
Know DH wanted to work on the higher spots off the top of his big truck, though that means moving everything off the slab next to the side of the house. We've worked off the top of the truck many times and it's like a big platform... we can see vegetation sticking out of the top of those gutters. But he is off somewhere with his little truck, so he's either at that job...or somewhere... so I am glad I don't have to go outside now.
I'm sorry I haven't replied much to anyone. But I am reading and replying in my head.
Good morning/almost afternoon. Thanks for the opening, Twins, I definitely need to tune up my routines. I should have been off of this computer a while ago for starters. Feeling a little aggravated with our backyard wildlife. Feeding the birds includes putting out a block of suet for the woodpeckers in a little wire holder. Usually the squirrels just eat sunflower seeds underneath the feeder but there is one squirrel that hangs upside down & eats the suet. It polishes off an entire block before noon :x . Today I scared him off a few times but he always came back so I'm giving up. We often have deer come at night to eat any seed on the ground that the birds didn't eat. The last few days they have been sauntering in at 9:00 AM! I've successfully chased them off & hope this doesn't become a habit with them. Bird seed prices increased by a shocking amount this year :o . We travel a long way to a feed store which has better prices & selection than smaller local stores. I talked to dh again about fencing in the back yard. Besides keeping deer out it will be safer when we get a puppy or dog again in future.
Still need to cuop from yesterday & in J&C. Hope to come back tonight to do that. Thinking often of all the concerns here, especially for many of the dhusbands in our village & the dSHEs caring for & worrying about them.
Dh has a meeting tonight so I'll have either soup & crackers or a BLT for my dinner. Waving ~~~~ to Twins, Rose, LadyM, Nancy , Harriet , Harmony & all who stop by later. Hope everyone has a wonderful day.
